I'm about 85-90% better, in about 4 years. That last 10% drives me nuts. It's usually digestive or a slight headache or sometimes fatigue. Sometime I can track it to a food and sometimes not. Every 6 months I feel I've made a bit more progress. The 1st 6 months were amazing. I've back slided here and there but seem to be back on the upswing now. I know I'm human and the body will never be perfect and I am so enormously grateful for all I have gained.
Percent better is hard to tell - as in I don't know how good I can feel.
I am healing cranial and nerve damage from many years ago and still have significant pain all over the body during the healing. Without being compliant, I wouldn't be able to heal - at least to the extent that I am. At some point I hope that the nerve damage will finish healing and I won't have this much pain.

When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfectionBeing 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships
but do you still have issues is I guess where I was going with this? And are they mostly digestive? Or....?
No digestive issues here (but then, I never did have any). I've lost a ton of weight (88 lbs) and kept it off for several years now (still trying to drop a few more pounds, but I'm well below my original goal weight), cravings gone which used to be overpowering, I feel in a strong, steady place of balance, I have energy, plantar fascitis GONE, episodes of shortness of breath GONE (but those may have been due to recovering from a possible case of pneumonia--who knows, I never went to the doctor...not sure what they were about, all I know is they are long GONE, thank God), back prob seems very stable (haven't even gone to the chiro in well over a year...I should, but the fact that I've been able to choose not to, however contraindicated that may be, is pretty amazing), and I'm generally in very good health.
Do I have any health issues? Sure, I did turn 50 last September. I have a weird electrical conduction prob in my heart, which causes no symptoms (diagnosed via a routine EKG and then further tests based on that, in 2009). I also have ongoing ENT probs that are mostly iatrogenic in nature, structural, and so not diet related and diet can't do much (although, the BTD and GTD are anti-inflammatory and also healing to tissue, so it does help some, it really does, but if I were to move back up north, fuggedaboutit, it would be like trying to fight a tsunami with a toy bucket), but I'm basically fine as long as I stay in a subtropical climate. I'm basically in hearty good health and I credit the GTD diet and exercise recommendations/protocol. Oh yeah, babe. 1,000%!
