i'm just wondering... where is the line between a neutral leg and a gynic leg?
The video only goes into the differences between andric and gynic. but what makes a leg neutral?
is this where the calves don't touch but the thighs do? Or is this when there is a very slim/small space between the thighs just above the knees? or is it something else?
thanks

In the book system one only had two choices: Andric or Gynic. I presume neutral was added because some people felt they were neither Andric or Gynic. If you feel the space does not match the descriptions in the video and is somewhere in between, you can choose neutral, most people should use either Andric or Gynic.
If you are still debating between two settings, run SWAMI and see if it changes any food values. If it does than you may need to ask several people to look at you standing and give their opinion after reading the description. |

thanks C_sharp.
It actually makes a pretty major change for me (that change alone and i am either explorer or nomad)
I'm not really sure which one is more accurate, When i stand with my ankles & knees touching... my calves do not touch and... depending on the day (cycle related maybe?)... sometimes my thighs just touch and sometimes there is a slight space (enough that if i stand with a light behind me i can see a sliver of light on the wall).
i'll ask a few people.
thanks again |

I"m an ectomorph, so I"m very thin. When I stand with my ankles and knees together, my thighs don't touch, but I most definately am gynic. What helped me the most with the andric/gynic question was to look at your legs - or have some one else - from the back, like it shows in the book. It also helps to get some one else's opinion. |

My swami said explorer when I put gynic, and it said teacher when I put andric. The difference was either 38% explorer or 41% teacher. My husband said I am somewhere between andric and neutral. I settled with andric and know that the teacher diet "fits." |

I can stand with my ankles, calves and knees touching, then I can lock my knees back to create a space from groin to ankles - which are still together.
Set to Gynic - then I am an (ectomorph) gatherer, Andric = a nomad, neutral = a nomad. |

How can you still be gynic? I thought it was if your knees aren't touching and your legs are a little bowed, it's andric. So to speak. Yeah, the neutrual thing threw me for a while too. I have andric in mine. Mine are bowed and don't touch anywhere, unless I twist them I think. |

If you ever watch tennis - because you can see all of the leg in those little tennis skirts , some of the women players have legs that look almost boyish - that's andric, Francesca Schiavone comes to mind. While some of the other players, think Maria Sharapova, are definately gynic. She's thin enough so that her thighs don't touch, but the shape of her legs doesn't appear even slightly bowed - gynic. |

I would say I am neutral and so says my family When I stand comfortable and straight; my tigh have a tiny opening but my legs seem more straight and my knees do not touch. I wounds say I look more boyish on the lower part of my body than female- even as overweight. IF i choose gynic I become gatherer and it really doesn´t fit at all-have tried that. If I choose neutral = nomad so I am happy with that. Read this as well http://dadamo.com/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?b-GTDdiet/m-1200362499/ |
