I have started the perimenopause (irregular periods for the past 6 months after always being regular). I have ticked the perimenopause box in my SwamiExpress but was wondering whether I should take dietary advice from Swami or the menopause book. I don't have the menopause book, and assume that Swami is more sophisticated, but I just thought I'd check.

Definitely follow the dietary advice in SWAMI. That diet will account for menopause plus whatever other health issues you have, continue to blend BTD and GTD just for you, etc.
The Menopause book is probably a good read, for some background information on how diet can help balance your hormones. It can also be fun to see which foods are reccomended to eat or avoid for menopause, and compare those to your SWAMI list. You may want to borrow a copy from the library and read it once, rather than purchasing a copy to keep. Since you won't need the food lists in there as a reference, it may not be worth spending the money on. (Unless you have the budget and the shelf space and want to build up a library of BTD books that you can refer to as needed and lend out to others.)

I would follow swami if I were you. I did read the menopause book, but my swami with "perimenopausal/menopausal" ticked has the most up-to-date & personalized info for me.
Great, thanks for the confirmation, ruthiegirl and O in Virginia. I'll stick with Swami, though it would be good to read the menopause book, as you suggest, ruthiegirl
