Hi again, since I've been interested why I'm Receptor, not Reactor like most Hunters, I suddenly remembered fingerprints: I have 8 whorls and only 2 ulnar loops. I changed my SWAMI profile as if I had 8 ulnar loops and two whorls. Whadam - I "became" Reactor! But as it's not the truth, I changed the fingerprints back and gained again my several diamonds and superfoods. So - malignancies and immune susceptibilities are more probable to me just because I have so many whorls...? I recall The GenoType Diet mentioned that if a female person has many whorls, she has also a higher risk to develop a breast cancer. I thought "luckily I'm a man" but still thought if I had a higher risk for some cancers because of my whorl type fingerprints. Well, I try to drink more chaga tea and eat more tree-grown mushrooms (reishi, cordyceps, lion's mane and maitake) Any thoughts? |

follow a protocol for prevention if you so please, but do not forget protocols have a time span, and you need to give it a rest in between......
3 or 4 weeks is fine.......the best prevention will always be sticking to your guidelines.......let food be your medicine |

I could be struck tomorrow with a bus.. I could get ill and I could be miserable.. the worst parts about these sort of thing is that it would be a surprise.. I don't care for surprises.. I don't like sealed packages, and I have little need for anything.. BUT health is what I make of it..
I can do the best with what I know, I can make a difference and so can you.. you can follow your health issues as outlined, you can re-read the text in the books and you can have a new understanding of some words.. BUT you can not become fearful or worry.
We are so lucky here that we have support to learn, to create new ways to our health and being proactive we can make small differences that will create new days for us..
be grateful you learned something, ask for more of the same, do something about it and carry on with life.. and enjoy all the sunrises anew.. now they will be even more fab then they ever where.. that is the gift of knowledge.. and what a gift it is..

| When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfection Being 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships |

My swami has me as Receptor . Six of my ten ten fingers have whorls. I hope you are mistaken about that breast cancer incidence. I think if we follow swami, eat cleanly, live healthfully, take care of our minds and bodies, then we may have a pretty good shot at good health. |

Thank you all! Yeah, I'm not THAT worry - but I remember that O types are more prone to skin cancers, and I have heard one woman telling that drinking chaga tea very much maybe has "released" some of her lids. Well, last summer I gained some lids but 2 of them also released from neck area. O in Virginia, especially thanks to you - now I have a little more perspective. I don't either think the risk is very big if you eat right for your type and have a good attitude for living. Good air / water / light quality are also extremely important for health. (My mother has approximately as many whorls as I but she haven't yet had any cancer [she's 66]. She's O type like me, but her father was B and mother probably A, also O might be possible.) |

I add that both of my ulnar loops are in the left hand (middle/pinkie) - and I'm left-handed. In the right hand there are only whorls. |

Nothing to worry about - a little assymetricality just makes you extra "special". Yay, you, Green Root! |

You got some protection from being O. But you def should keep healthy and not abuse your body. I have 2 whorls on my right hand the rest are the normal loops. I don't think i have a high risk but i do my best to keep healthy. Thats all you can do! |

I tested yet more. Thumbs and index fingers to arch fingerprints -> the same as with more ulnar loops -> Reactor. But now I'm not reactor, I accept it willingly especially if/when I get some protection from being O. My Achilles heel has in the near past been mostly gut (and stomach a little). White lines tell that, too I yet have them although I quit gluten over 2 years ago... Maybe I abuse my body some other way (eat too much at one time, too much almonds and seeds?, veggies only about 2 times a day). Thank you very much, Easy E and O in Virginia! ...btw, if I remember correct, my mother's fingerprints are a little more symmetrical and father's a little more asymmetrical. |

Green Root, my swami states "white lines throughout the fingerprints are an indication that the individual may have gluten and/or lectin intolerance." So...your white lines could be due to something other than gluten, possibly some other avoid food (?). I'm not sure if I'm understanding that correctly, but that's how it seems to me. My swami also states (about me in particular) "Ridge pattern assymetrical to blood group/Characteristic of Explorer." I've never understood what that actually means. I need to ask someone. |

My swami says I am a reactor which I thought was odd for an A but then I have many explorer qualities just like my blood type O Dad who is an Explorer.
Me too, SWAMI calls me a reactor. I have that APOe 3/4 genetic pattern which implies that detoxing from chemicals/pesticides/everything else is compromised. But of course, I didn't tell SWAMI that.. I think having allergies might have given me reactor status. Do you have allergies? I'm just a few ticks away from Explorer. Many times when I changed input I became an Explorer. Just can't stand the foods I was given as an Explorer, so I avoid the obvious allergenic foods that SWAMI gave me, ie gluten/dairy and stuck with Teacher. Most of my other Teacher foods seem right... And O in VA, all my fingers had white lines...many still do...but SWAMI didn't discuss them in detail, nor mention anything specifically for my individuality. SWAMI obviously likes you best... |

No, the white line info was just general info in the swami printout, not directed toward me. I don't understand the assymetrical to blood type part about my fingerprints. |

I understand that 3/5 same kind of fingerprints can be a moderate solution because I have no mention about symmetricality in my SWAMI. But as I only have mentions about Hunter characteristics, it can be also asymmetrical. Anyway, if you had 4-5 of the fingerprint patterns the same, they would be "symmetrical", if 0-2, they would be "asymmetrical". I also have a history of allergies. STILL I'm a receptor! The fingerprints do rule.I really try to avoid "avoid" foods. Except coconut oil in some raw chocolate bars, so I eat coconut oil small amounts 1-2 times a week. And coconut palm sugar, which hasn't been rated yet. Yummy It has been times (maybe a couple of months) I don't eat coconut oil at all... besides... could some of these be guilty of white lines although consumed so seldom? Or wrong emphasis, too much vegetable protein (and starch?) from almonds, compliant seeds, nuts and spirulina or too much olive oil -Brazil Nuts, cashews, sunflower seeds 1 time / 2 months -chestnut flour maybe once a month or more rarely -sunflower or soybean lecithin, I'm not sure about sunflower l., soybean l. is a black dot... -maybe some sunflower oil in some pizzas because of marvellous antipastos, sun dried tomatoes and artichokes and tiny amount of sunflower oil in fish oil capsules. Would you avoid the latter? -Acerola powder which has non-gmo maltodextrin, but I think I won't buy it afterwards -very tiny amounts of alfalfa juice powder in green powder mix sometimes... -avocado sometimes, but I don't think that could be guilty of my white lines... if I had joint problems avocado would become from avoid to neutral. -cucumber, cauliflower and leek very, very rarely (a little more maybe than strawberries ) -organic strawberries once a year -green pepper which is comes from the same plant as black pepper...? -black kukicha tea, quite rarely, usually not any black teas of tea leaves -some distilled alcohol as medicine, they always have some healthful in it, like herbs -white wine 2-3 times a year -organic apple vinegar (regarded healthful in many places) sometimes, not regularly |

Allergies suck! Every time the weather changes my sinuses drip for a week. Never get infections, but my nasal passages get swollen. I'm adjusting to the new air that blew here from the north recently now. |

Yes they do suck bigtime, Easy!!! I have heard more people complain about sinus symptoms this year (Spring until now) than ever before! It seems everyone is experiencing some type of trouble no matter where they live! |

Cajun, same to me. I have been thinking that in my new home town there are more mold problems in my working place and/or school and that's why sinus right from nose has been quite weird this autumn. But your message sets the problem under the new light (was the phrase understandable?) Btw, I chatted in Facebook and it came to my mind that WHAT IF I should avoid all dairies (except maybe ghee, what do you think?) a couple of months and then reintroduce the good ones (butter, some cheeses) into my diet? Could it be so that avoiding butter and cheeses appropriate time could help my colons to heal better from 2002-2009 gluten damages? I have been over 2 years nearly gluten free and I still have white lines in my fingerprints! They haven't become much better during these 26 months. I have heard about one person who removed gluten after positive coeliac test. (my test was negative but gluten-free diet has been so good to me!!) He/she was not told not to eat dairies in couple of months, and his/her healthiness didn't improve until some guy told to him/her that avoiding dairies temporarily is nearly necessary that gut gets better. |

My most recently updated SWAMI lists me as a Receptor Type, which does not describe me at all! My prior SWAMI (before being re-measured) listed me as a Reactor, which makes a whole lot more sense to me. Less inflamation and auto-immune problems? How do you explain my seasonal allergies and fibromyalgia then? More immune susceptabilities? Then why don't I ever catch colds when they go around?
I don't know my fingerprint patterns; Andrea has the raw data that went into SWAMI, and my PDF file doesn't list my fingerprints at all. |

I've catched about 3-4 colds for one year, but nowadays they are a little more rare. I have tried to strenthen my immunity but still I go to sleep too late and don't do sports enough.... Yeah, I've had allergies but nowadays I don't recognize so well Reactor Type features in my body... of course there are some but not so strong. |

Swami has me as Receptor type. I rarely catch colds, but I can become susceptible to them if I am too ragged and run down, which I try not to do to myself. When I was younger (20s) I caught more colds & respiratory bugs because I didn't rest enough and abused my health (smoking, not enough sleep, not eating properly). The last time I had the flu was during an epidemic in 68/69. I was a child and the whole school was out ill with flu. I don't remember feeling that unwell but I slept alot. I honestly can't remember having the flu since then, but it may have happened. I just can't recall. Not in the past decade anyway. I think deep sleep is my cure for most things. And proper nutrition, of course. I feel blessed not to get colds/flu. I pray that continues. My DH (Type A) gets flu more easily. I've nursed him through two bouts since we've been married. He's pretty tough overall, though. Rarely ill. |

OinV, I was in high school in 68/69 and remember well the "new strain" of flu to hit orange county, CA! My head pounded 24/7, I couldn't even move my eyes because my sockets ached! I know I was in bed at least 3 days. The flu is the only disease I ever had in my childhood. (Chicken pox at age 30 caught from a child covered with pox) I swear I had some type of immunity to childhood diseases as i never caught them yet was always exposed. |

The times i got sickest were times where there was high stress plus i was not exercising and doing it regularly. My immunity seemed to get stronger when i began playing basketball in middle school, though it was not ever a problem. For me just being active really helps me handle more stuff of all kinds. |

I'm feelin' that pain. I'm a receptor who mistook myself for a reactor (Explorer) for a long while. It's good to get that straight and focus my efforts in the right direction. |

Interesting thread! I've never really paid attention to what Swami pegged me as - just checked and it lists me as Receptive (I have all ulna loops except my left hand middle finger which has an arch). I would have thought I'm more Reactive though - inflammation and violent immune response at the drop of a hat |

It looks like the Genotype book is being discounted here. The book shows:
Worldview: Reactive: Hunter, Explorer (O; O, A, B, AB) Thrifty: Gatherer, Warrior (O, B; A, AB) Receptive: Teacher, Nomad (A, AB; B, AB)
But on this thread are all sorts of Os saying SWAMI shows them as Receptive types.
(Note that in the book, Dr. D very clearly states that each of the six types is distinct and not to be "mixed" with other types (See the section There Are No "Combination Types" – Every Type Has Its Own Unique Logic, p. 111-112). Yes, I know, Dr. D himself retracts that now...?
So what's the upshot? Do we chuck the book? |

And is this receptivity only because of whorl type fingerprints? Well, it may be right, I have not felt SO reactive, but I'm relatively young yet... It would seem logical that the blood type O didn't prevent an individual to have a receptive worldview in itself as all other blood types can be all three worldviews. The first blood type diet book has been corrected in many ways in the second blood type book. If Dr. D wrote a second book of GenoType Diet, I'm quite sure there were some corrections, too |

If you're following a diet from the book, you need to pick one diet and stick with it. You can't be a GatherExplorer or a TeacherWarrior. You figure out which diet you think will suit you best, and then follow that one. There are only 6 diets in the book, but billions of people in the world.
SWAMI is the next generation of Dr D's diets. It's a computer program that calculates many variables in foods to many variables in your body and figures out which foods are OK for you personally. It also spits out a "Genotype label" but the actual diets it produces often vary widely from any of the diets in any of the books.
With SWAMI, you can be a Reactive Gatherer or a Thrifty Nomad. Any combination is possible, since it's calculating a unique diet plan for each and every individual. Even identical twins could get different results from SWAMI. If every person in the world ran a SWAMI, it would produce millions of different diets, if not billions. |
