I am interested in understanding more about the Geno Harmonic food list in my SWAMI. First, I noticed that Bok Choy and Endive are listed as geno harmonic foods with many other foods. It is interesting that both Bok Choy and Endive are neutral foods for me, as are some of the protein sources I should eat along with them. How do neutrals turn into Superfoods?
Also, since the idea behind the Geno Harmonic Foods is detoxification, how often should I try to fit in a Geno Harmonic combination per week? |

The genoharmic combos often use neutrals combined with some superfoods. Each person has a personalized goal to reach towards improving their genetic profile. Read the information right above the genoharmic food list on your SWAMI and it will tell you what these foods are doing to help your body. In other words, because of gene methylation properties in my food combinations, two or more foods work together to enhance gene methylation for me. My body needs to make good copies of genes. Perhaps your diet needs to be accomplishing something else for you than it is for me. It's not that a neutral becomes a superfood....The properties of combined foods have the power to enhance the goals of whatever SWAMI determined would be in your best interest. Different for me than for you. In my case SWAMI says this " these Geno-Harmonic food relationships emphasize superbeneficial foods for your blood type and GenoType which contain nutrients that enhance gene methylation (which increases the fidelity of your gene's ability to make good quality copies of itself). Because the loss of gene fidelity is a major hallmark of aging cells, using these food combinations will produce maximum personalized anti-aging effects in your body. Loss of methyl groups over our lifespan is a precondition for a cell's ability to turn cancerous, so these Geno-Harmonic food combinations will also have anti-cancer effects in your body as well. You can learn more about these epigenetic functions by reading Chapter III GenoType Whys and Wherefores, pages 28-52 in The GenoType Diet." I eat a genoharmonic food combination as often as I possibly can. Daily. And sometimes more than once a day. Some combinations are easy for me to accomplish. Others, more difficult and strange. |

it is so easy to combine one left choice, with one choice on the right.....
do it as often as you see fit, together with your other food choices. |

Does anyone know if eating the horseradish leaves would have similar genoharmonic effects as the root? It is easier for me to pick some leaves to chew on or add to salad, etc. than to dig some root...
Also, if I use whole cranberries in a dish rather than cranberry juice, I presume it will do the same as the juice is made from the whole berry... Is this reasonable extrapolation? |

The juice will presumably have a higher concentration of what is desired.
There is no way to know about the horseradish since we don't know what was being looked for in the root. It seems like it might work but that is strictly a wild guess. |

I think when Dr. D chooses a specific food to be combined with another specific food, he means exactly that....exactly the way it's written is the way it should be combined. Only reason I'm thinking this way is people have asked over the years why a juice gets one rating and a food another, even if of the same food. I get lots of blackberry juice on my GH combos....but blackberries aren't on my GH list.. Some of my options include both flax seeds and flax oil to be combined with a specific food....but on some lists, only one or the other is chosen, not both. That leads me to believe there are very specific reasons for these combo choices. I would follow the way your GH list is written if you want to be absolutely sure you're going to get the GH benefits you want... IMHO, of course. |

THIS combo means any one food > not all that are listed on the Right??
I looked at my O Gatherer list and could not find beef > does that mean I dont ned to combine or I should not have it?
In the meat listing I can have it. why not in the green harmonics list.. or is all super/beneficial food gene harmonic with beef?

if baking soda regulates Ph, any chance it would help with occasional reflux or indigestion? |

I'm just getting use to the Nomad list since I've switched from Nomad to Explorer now back to Nomad. The GenoHarmonic Food combos are something I have to get use to using as well. I like the simple method - one food on the right with the one listed on the left. I think I'll start with that. |

Goldie, all you have to do is take the one food from the left column and combine it with one of the foods from the list the right. No, not all on right. Doesn't matter how many more you want to add from the right, but at least consuming one food from left and one from right would be considered a Genoharmonic combination. I like to go for the highest starred combos. A 5 star combo is listed as "exceptional". Hope this answers your question. |

what about the fact that I have no beef on either side?
thanks for your answer..
I will add at least one or more from now on,
but if beef is not included on either side, then that leaves me turkey, since I don't eat fish things. |

beef by itself if it's a diamond is still medicine. i get to have grapefruit and butter! there are some weird foods but still workable combos. It doesn't mean beef isn't good, it's still a diamond. eat it |

Don't be concerned about foods that aren't listed on your GH combinations. Your diamonds and beneficial foods in their own right provide their own health benefits. A GH combo gives an additional health benefit. Read your SWAMI and find out exactly how your GH combos are going to benefit your genes. What I do is make one GH combo and just eat it...separate and apart from a meal......not care much about what foods I'm combining or whether they particularly taste good together. If turkey is on your list....then take a slice or two of turkey, combine it with anything from the food list directly across to the right....aim for the highest starred combos and I think you'll find this easy. Make a GH combo into a snack if you like...not a meal. |

Thanks for info on Baking soda. I actually do drink it whenever I feel that my urine is getting strong. I read years ago that it could help and it does. I have never taken it with food thinking it might make digestion more difficult. ??
Its such a relief to know I don't have to combine all these foods. A few is doable.
I noticed quite a few of mine are beverages -- that should be easy to incorporate in a meal |
