Looking over the diet from Swami, I will have to make lots of changes. Tomatoes are an avoid for me and that will be hard - I LOVE tomatoes! I can see also that I will need to change my snacks from starches and fruits (allowed 2 each per day) to veggies (5 per day). The meats are not going to be a problem for me as I love meat. Breakfast will be a challenge since I am used to lots of carbs and fruits for breakfast, but having protein will be better for me then as I tend to run low blood sugars. It should be a fun challenge!

I am wondering.. know nothing about your diet.. but how will the more veg and protein be for you hunger wise will you be satisfied??

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

The protein is more and that will help fill me up. The veggies will take the place of the fruits and carbs I have been eating and should fill me up well but with fewer calories which will be good for me since I need to lose weight!

O Non secretors "get tomatoes" and "loose" all kinds of grains.  My mother and likely my sister are O secreting Explorers; they have fared much better in terms of health and wellness than I.

It is not what hand you get, it is how you play it!

As a certain gentleman (who goes by the name of Golfzilla when on the board) would say "It is what it is."

My weight loss goal: 220 lbs.  A 6'4" dyslexic oddball: the size of a line-backer, the silhouette of Winnie-the-Pooh.

I know this question is not directed at me, but I would like to comment... hunger-wise for me, a carb-based meal will initially "fill" me up more than any other food, but a protein-based meal will stay with me a lot longer. I can go for hours without feeling hungry after a protein meal.

I'm onto you, 'euphoria'

I agree, I do stay full much longer with more protein in my meals and am lots less likely to snack when I have had adequate protein. I still say this will be a fun challenge for me.
