I bought a tin of lecithin granules (expensive), it turns out it is soya lecithin (avoid of gatherer)

So what is just "lecithin" (neutral for gatherer.) so i can buy the right one any brand names or any other info - i wonder if I'm the only one to make such a mistake.

Soy lecithin has virtually no protein or carbohydrates in it. You can't even measure them at the level of 1 part per ten million, so for most people it's fine.

it says avoid on my swami specifically "soybean Granules, Lecithin" in vegetable protein section. 1 table spoon.

the one i want is just "Lecithin" in the condiments section. 1 teaspoon.

so if they are the same, I can only have 1 teaspoon. so that's means i can't have then with my breakfast which is fine as I'm not really that keen on the taste anyway.

but would love a clarification.

soy is fine,
find egg lecithin powder if you absolutely must, according to your swami

Then it's telling you egg lecithin. I should change the title to reflect that.

there you go PC!
before you get rid of it, find out your wife s GT, or is she following your swami?

lecithin is a great addition
Lecithin is not for the essential fatty acids (omegas).  It is an emulsifier of fats and helps to keep the cell membranes permeable.  It also may help keep the arteries free from fat build-up and is food for the brain, among many other health benefits.
