Hi there,

How would you adjust your SWAMI foods if you have hypoglycemia, My GP just called to let me know and he suggested following a hypoglycemic diet and low glycemic foods. I want to stay on my SWAMI so how would I adjust it???

healthy4,

In section 5 of SWAMI questionnaire, there is an option to check if you have a history of blood sugar issues.  I would try checking that box (for the hypoglycemia issues) and see how it affects the food list.

The fact that foods did not change indicates that SWAMI likely already identified on the basis of the rest of your genetic/epigenetic profile that you had a tendency to have sugar issues and already adjusted your diet to compensate for this tendency.

If you feel additional adjustment is need you can visit an IFHI practitioner who use SWAMI GenoType. Additional options are available in that software to further restrict a clients exposure to high glycemic foods.

Healthy4, the Professional version of Swami, the one practitioners use has a lot more fields to input data. C_# may explain it better when he tunes in.

check the IFHI practitioner registry

For a practitioner to be able to run SWAMI GenoType they need to be certified at the MIHFI level (rather than FIHFI). Not all MIFHI practitioners offer SWAMI GenoType services, so you do need to check with the individual practitioner to be sure they offer the service before scheduling an appointment.
