I wonder if there will be any improvements or changes to the SWAMI Xpress software in the future and if there will be any downloadable updates available then?

There should be a new release of SWAMI Xpress software soon. I think there will be nothing to download. The SWAMI Xpress site will be updated and you will be able to connect to the site and rerun your diet report once the updates are in place.

If I know my mtDNA haplogroup can I also add that info as an input in the software when determing my genotype?

You can enter mtDNA haplogroup data into the SWAMI software.

How much difference does the haplogroup usually make in the diet results?

I do not think there is a usual.

For some people it makes almost no difference.

For other people it dramatically changes the diet.

Until you try it on a specific person, you do not know how much difference it will make for that person.

How exciting! I am going to check how much the difference would be for me (and my husband when he has found out his mtDNA haplogroup) with and without mtDNA input when I get the software.

Like C Sharp says, when the update arrives, it will just run 'as is'.

Although the update will have some artificial intelligence improvements it will mostly feature a more 'hand-holding' step-by-step data entry procedure for newbies and major upgrades to the reliability of the software kernel. These reliability improvements will pave the way for upgrades 'above and beyond' at later dates.

Probably will appear sometime early summer.

What is a mtDNA haplogroup

If you keep doing what you've always done, and you keep getting what you've aways got, perhaps it's time for a change...

mtDNA stands for mitochondrial DNA.

This DNA is inherited from the mother exclusively.

Haplogroups are classifications that reflect branching in the genetic tree.

mtDNA Haplogroups may be used to identify the geographical origins of your maternal ancestors.

Is there a way to change the lactose intolerance after it is locked?
I would like to change that because it is mainly pastuerized Cows milk that upsets my stomach. I can handle cheese, butter, ghee, and plain yogurt now and then.

I think my kids did better with Raw milk. I know it is an avoid for O's but they do eat pretty good otherwise.

Thanks,
Angel

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better...it did!  Swami changed the focus of my plan to a detox protocol...it suggested the addition of foods like cabbage, which has always caused me to bloat so I avoided this food.  But...surprise...I decided to give this new detox focus a complete chance "just ot see what would happen" and shockingly...no bloating...and...I feel better than ever...if that was possible, since I felt great before!  I'm wonderfully amazed and impressed at what Swami has done for me...thank you, thank you, thank you Dr. D.

Call NAP and ask if they will unlock it for you.  They did it for me.

I love Kimchi-my problem is the bottle is not big enough. If I let my self I will eat the whole bottle in one sitting. My oldest will eat the whole half gallon of kraut if given half a chance. Love good food.

I will call Nap and ask them to unlock the lactose one then. thanks

Oh, I sooooooooo wish Kimchi was not an avoid for me!  I loved it so much, I researched recipes and was excited about learning to make my own, when BAM!  I started BTD and cabbage became and avoid.  Then, GT and it was back.  Then Swami and it's "Gone, gone, gone..."    too bad, so sad...
