I have decided to get GT measured by a local ND due to wanting to be sure of my GT My appointment is this Thursday and I really want to understand how to best be prepared and what to expect - help!

I see much switching and confusion as to genetypes on this forum and this is concerning.
Please help me understand why this is so difficult . With your help I'd it's important for me to know what to expect through this process of GT identification and transitioning into Swami.

Will Swami change my GT as I am reading it is to others, this is very confusing if one is looking for definition... How can a GT change..?

I'm sure this has been asked 100 times before and I appreciate your patience

Hey Golf, with SWAMI your GT is you. The big label is mostly for putting out on the coffee table for guests to see.

Relax. Have your health history ready and what you know or can find out of your close family. If you have recent lab results they may be of value but aren't necessary.

Your ND should get you through this all just fine.

I bet you are a hunter as you have already measured.  I think it is only the explorer that almost any type can be that throws some of us for a loop.  My husband is a B+ and I thought a gatherer.  But lately I am starting to believe he might be an explorer also.  His index fingers have different prints, one a loop, the other an arch....but he seems to be having mold/fungal issues.....I would have sworn he was a gatherer.  Maybe he is.   But anyway, it is interesting to say the least.  Ultimately the diets
are all very healthy!

Paula O+ ~ I do suspect this to be... As my tag line says, it is what it is. And I'm ok with whatever I am and need to do. However my quest also includes wanting to be sure and not make mistakes if possible. Mistakes are a waste of time

Oh, your current meds are of value as well. This is one area where the version teh ND runs can make some subtle adjustments in your diet to compensate for how some meds deplete some things.

Will do Paula! Yes, I believe this is a good decision going in this direction with the personal guidance of a local ND. This should elimate much of the wonder and guessing on my behalf. Also will be nice to have someone trained/certified to consult/call that will know me personally.

I am leaning towards using Swami Xpress as I think it will be fun to be able to compare different data and see how things change as time goes on.
