I still don't know my genotype, but Andrea ran through my SWAMI twice, once as a secretor and once as a non-secretor. I'm a Gatherer either way. |

Just confirmed it...
But I strength tested as Explorer too.
It is all so new I am still comparing foods to the previous incarnations as O Nonnie and Book Explorer.
Since I don't have genome stuff yet, and I am half N Euro and half C Euro (does anyone know what Hungarians are considered? being Finno-Ugric-- I think we aren't really C European)I am not sure what ethnicity to put.
My coloring is from the Danish half and bone structure from the Hungarian half. |

Teacher? That can't be right. No way you could ever be a Teacher as an O
I'm hoping that in the next publications of strength testing that it will be made clearer that we should be ignoring the columns that are relevant to blood types that cannot be ours. Our naturopath even fell into this mistake on first glance. |

Now, for someone like you, don't you still have reasons to want to know if you're a nonnie? |

GTD said I was Teacher Swami says I'm Explorer Out of interest I re-ran swami as secretor but it kept me as explorer. Lots of differences between explorer foods in book vs. explorer foods in Swami. I definitely prefer the swami explorer foods !! |

GTD put me as hunter first, before I knew my secretor status. When I found out my secretor status (not that I am 100% certain, but as a Lewis double negative the chances of being a secretor are very slim!) GTD then typed me as explorer. It didn't seem a good fit in any way. However, Swami has made me a gatherer...and 6 weeks along, I am one happy little gatherer |

I have never had much doubt that I am an Explorer, Snazzyshazz. I did get a little obsessed about whether or not I am Lewis double negative near the end of last year, while not being willing to pay to know. When I checked the LDN box in my Swami and looked for differences in my food lists, not one thing changed. LDN and Explorer are not identical in my opinion, but it may be that being LDN "forces" you to be an Explorer. My wife is an A+ sec , and although she types as an Explorer, she has little of the quirky traits that I used to associate with the Explorer label. All Explorers may be equal, but LDN Explorers may be more equal than the others. |

I decided to remeasure my torso and leg lengths because when I did it, I did it myself. My husband had just had surgery and I did not want to wait until he was out of the hospital. I found a couple of interesting things when we did the re-measure. (My legs are only about a 1/2 inch longer than my torso.) #1 In the Advanced Calculator, there is a glitch if your torso and your legs are equal in length. As a woman, O+ non-secretor with longer ring fingers and longer upper legs, you are an Explorer if you go to Torso longer or Equal Section. If you go to the Legs Longer or Equal Section, woman, O+ non-secretory with longer ring fingers and longer upper legs, you are a Hunter. So if your legs are equal in length to your torso and you are a woman, the book is confusing. I am not sure if this issue arises in other instances #2 When we re-measured, we used a tape measure meant for surveyors. It is done in tenths instead of twelvths and you cannot measure down to say a 32nd of an inch, since it is meant for measuring large land areas. When we used this, my torso measured longer than my legs, making me an Explorer. I changed my SWAMI to reflect the new measurements The measurement for Torso/Leg length was time locked, so I couldn't change that, but I thought it was interesting that SWAMI told me it did not agree with my GT. We re-measured again with a regular tape measure and I am once again a Hunter and my SWAMI is happy! |

The statement regarding this at the top of the tables on pages 294 and 295 should be the same as on pages 296 and 297. Per page 60, the tie always goes to the torso... |

I actually got SWAMI before I ever read the GenoType diet. SWAMI has me surprisingly as a Teacher (45%) even that I'm RH neg and a noonie, the book types me as an Explorer. |

Bekki Shining Bearheart and Lola There is NO Eastern European option on SWAMI (at least I did not find one) I'm 3/4 of hungarian descent myself and I had to settle on central european. |

I was an Explorer on every strength test in the GTD book... but when I input my data into SWAMI I was 38% Gatherer. My guess is SWAMI must have seen a good chunk of Hunter too and a tiny bit of explorer because there are parts of each I really identify with... just don't completely qualify for any of them. Confusing!!! |
