Can I assume that because it's so similar to a grapefruit that it's either beneficial or neutral for Teachers? |

Pummelo is a diamond for Gatherers, since it is not in the teacher list that means that it was rated as neutral. |

I haven't cut into mine yet. I think I'll bring it to work with me tomorrow - I'll let you know what I think. |

I just peel Pummelos and eat them like an orange at work. Spares me from having to deal with a knife and spoon at the office. But others might find the peel a little thick and the skin dividing sections a little tough. |

Bought two of them yesterday (it is possible to eat them in one day. )...having half of one for brekky right now. Got mine in the big city of Sudbury. We can get them here, but it differs from time to time. The cheaper ones I got yesterday (and better IMHO) are sweeter and white in the middle...bigger in size also. The other ones are red in the middle, smaller in size and double the price. And harder to peel. They can be peeled like an orange, but I rather fancy a knife. The top can be cut right off about an inch or so down from the top and the bottom you can also cut off...not too far up. Then I score down the sides about an inch apart and then peel it. Left with the white membrane on the outside so I stick my thumb (if I can or a knife to start it) down the top middle and pull them apart and peel off the white. This way half is ready for the next time. Debra |
