Love it! I was originally confounded by unclear finger lengths--the GT book would have thrown me into GT2 over that, which made no sense given the other strength testing data. Swami has me pegged as 56% Hunter.
Sounds kinda high compared to other percentages? We've taken and re-taken all the measurements--the only ones that were in question was finger length--as it turns out, my husband used a caliper and we measured palm side up--right ring finger is about 3 mm longer than index, which is tied with ring on other hand.
The data was easy to enter once we had all the measurements. Can't wait to see how my secretor test comes out and what effect that has on the diet...that's almost the only thing I didn't plug in. Oh, that and the DNA blood testing...
My diet choices make more sense to me now...some things I knew were working for me on BTD which didn't seem to fit with GT book, because while GT book is more precise than BTD, it also appears to have some general assumptions that threw me into wrong genotype (it is possible I was reading it wrong, but we went over and over it). Still wondering about the whole finger-length thing in the GT book.
Love my SWAMI, much more precise! I'd say it's definitely worth it to anyone considering the purchase. My supportive, yet somewhat skeptical husband is now considering a purchase...

they received my sample earlier this past week--I've checked, but it's really too soon--no results, yet--but hopeful for a result next week?
What's your ST--or do you not have results, yet--how long did it take?
Beginning to think I am a nonnie due to unusual sensitivities to medications, herbs, vitamins...very interesting stuff!
We do seem to possess a huge dose of Hunter-type impatience! I did re-run my swami with nonnie status, and it changes the diet a little bit--but not too much...I'm thinking the addition of avocados to my diet would be welcome and might make up for some of the other new "restrictions" attached to nonnie status...
I am a Secretor. You can fix your avatar shield after you get your results to reflect what your status is, too!
The secretor will change the red part of your shield Gold and it will say "SEC" or the nonnie will be silver and say "NON"
Do you like red wine? I know that it's an O Nonnie Beneficial (a neutral for an O secretor) but I do not know how wine would affect an O nonnie Hunter.
Yes, Avocados are, at least in my opinion, the most interesting of foods because they are the ONLY food that for a type O can change so absolutely DRASTICALLY depending on secretor status. Everything else moves one step up or down...... these LEAP across to the opposite extreme!
