So my question is are people having more success with SWAMI?? I am thinking of purchasing, do not know much about it yet except what I have read here, I would call for more details, but wondered what all of your opinions have been. |

You have access to meal planner, recipes, all rated for you. Also, you can have everything produced in PDF file format, to store in your PC to study off line and print if you want to, specially when going out or shopping. Essential to have those food lists with you!! If you situation health wise deteriorates or changes in any way, you have an instant assessor of the situation. It will not replaced your doctor, but it will certainly guide you in the right direction, all food based, just for you!! Thumbs up!! |

I don´t think I would ever have followed GTD IF I did not follow Swami. I tried regular Explorer diet when book came out - with very little succes I felt tired, upset tummy, sugarswings you name it.... and gave up But now when I follow my own personalized swami diet it is great with explore diet cause it is customed to me= chocolate, eggs, dairy, red meats are back |

For me SWAMI has by far been the most successful of all the "diets". I started out with the BTD (type A secretor) and felt a bit better but not fantastic. Then the GTD came out and I ran out and bought a copy on the day it was released. Had my DH measure me and sent out my secretor test. I started the Explorer diet right away. I felt better then I did on the BT A secretor diet, but I just couldn't stick with it. There was already talk of SWAMI at that point so I told myself that as soon as it was available I'd order it and went back to the BTD, following the non-secretor plan. I followed the BT A non-secretor diet for about a year and did better then I had on the secretor version or the by-the-book Explorer diet. But I still wasn't really happy with my progress (energy levels, weight). I ordered my SWAMI in July and I love my personal plan! I feel great, more energy then I've had in years and I've started to lose the weight that has been refusing to budge. I have no trouble sticking to my food lists. I don't feel like I have nothing left to eat (like I did with the GTD book). I ended up with a blend of the A nonnie and Explorer diets and it's perfect. |

Swami has made success in weight loss easier for me. Swami is "easier" by the numbers: you get more diamonds, more beneficials, the genoharmonics (which are tailored to your current specific epigenetic needs) are also another "more." I project these days to loose an average of a quarter of a pound per day. I have had sustained days of loosing at least half a pound per day which only slow down when I eat avoids. The avoids are less tempting as well, so my compliance is much better on the Swami Xpress. Disclaimer: I am taking new supplements (mentioned by Dr. D' Adamo) that have encouraged weight loss. Despite this, if anyone had told me (except for Dr. D' Adamo, Dr. Greenfield, and other practitioners) when I was on the Genotype that I could loose any more that half a pound per week on Swami, I would assume they were nuts! P.S. and this difference is not because I "genotyped" myself incorrectly! P.P.S I get little exercise: less that the gentle, less than four times a week. My energy is up and my strength is returning. Hey! This is important for men! |

so can more than one person in the household use the Swami, or must I purchase two ... one for me and one for my husband?
I have often wondered if I have genotyped myself incorrectly... how did this set you straight?? |

Your DH needs to do his own SWAMI. Many questions you answer get locked and can't be changed for anyone else to enter their own information. |

Read over the old Swami board threads to familiarize yourself with issues. If you can't easily find what you need to know - just start a new thread with the question or issue. We love to help! |

Okay. . .everyone has indirectly talked me into SWAMI, thanks. I started making my own recipe/cook book and it has been fun, alot of work, but fun. I have gathered that SWAMI does the same thing but on a faster and proabably more diverse level, than I am doing. What other benefits does SWAMI offer besides a personalized meal plan? |

The way SWAMI creates improved health for life is through its food recommendations. These are included in a diet report that recommends foods specific to your individual health needs. Here is a sample diet report: http://www.dadamo.com/SWAMI%20GenoType%20__%20Jane%20Public.pdfThe diet recommendations in the sample report will not apply to you! Your diet recommendations will be based on your personal measurements and medical history. |
