I love this SWAMI Xpress! It's given me back a bunch of foods I couldn't have before, and I can't wait to get started. I am absolutely in awe of the software, and the work that Dr. D and all have put into it to make it so all-encompassing. And I'm fully prepared to pay for it. After all, a trip to a naturopath won't cost that much different.

But when I opened it, I was surprised to find not a CD as I was expecting, but some pieces of paper. I could have bought that as a secure e-mail, instantly, and paid for it with my credit card.

In the US the cost is US$70, right? I was charged SG$140, which converts to US$100 - US$30 more than in the US, plus the fuel and car park fee to collect it! For something which could have been "shipped" for no extra charge. Come on guys, how is that right?

NO CD in the pack ?

Anyway, when it is a matter of software, I do not understand that it is compulsory to buy a material pack !!! XXIst century is starting with so many environmental problems !!! To keep quiet I imagine that a material device avoid "volunteer bad" behaviours... NO WAY !

But for SWAMI, we pay the access, a piece of paper, the packaging (materials and work), the delivery (plane, truck...), extra charges for the sailors... and the things I forgot !!!

I refuse to play this game !!!

I will buy an issue of the SWAMI (a great tool of course) when possible to load the codes via internet !

Just a short story :
I live in the famous country which produces the AOC Lentilles Vertes du Puy en Velay... Very good lands... Basaltic area.... Water underground...
An International Company is studying how to implement a huge mountain of domestic wastes on 25 hectares + 100 hectares for security in the place of the lentils, just on top of the fresh good waters which are drunk by thousands of people, etc. The river Loire will be poisonned within 20 years...
The war is opened against this project !

EVERYBODY ON EARTH MUST THINK HOW TO REDUCE THE WASTES AND ACT !!!

My closest distributor is in France and the price for the swami is nearly 80Euros ( about 117US$), plus fees for shipment...
But even if the french price is 70US$, I do not pay for an empty packaging !!! I call this an empty box because there is nothing inside (cd, USB plug/key or other material tool to secure the connection with the server)

Codes... as Squirrel says, they could be sent via email !!!

Lola, I bought it from the Singapore distributor. When I tried to order it from the 4yourtype store, it said "no shipping available" to Singapore.

The extra US$30 is obviously for shipping and store mark-up, neither of which are not necessary in this day and age. I'd rather pay a little extra to cover the cost of setting up a secure electronic distribution system, and save thousands of air-miles, packaging, printing and what-not.

Eek!!! That is terrible!!! It is so wrong to destroy such beautiful areas!! I recycle & avoid unnecessary packaging where possible...& don't think it is a good idea to irresponsibly dump rubbish the way some companies do...But if they have to, I don't understand why they can't dump it somewhere where it won't effect anyone/thing??!! The desert is probably not a good place to dump things either, but at least there are possibly less effected there...
Interesting predicament Squirrel...As a fellow cute furry creature I get where you are coming from and will follow this thread with interest...
