The meats seem like they're about right from what I've been eating. I'm a little worried about the fruits, but I guess I'll just not go overboard with the ones I know that have lots of sugar. But everthing else seems to jive.
The weird thing is that, I do actually measure out as a teacher per the book, but the rest of me made me a Nomad.
There are a lot of different things and a lot of things the same. Pretty cool. I can't wait to get started on it.

Gets to prove the level of complexity and understanding of our bodies that Swami/SwamiX has, and how personalized it is. How lucky we are to have access to such tool from the comfort of our homes!! Thanks Dr D.
I'm kind of concerned about it, because I did really well on the teacher diet. But..... I will try it. Many of the foods that I avoided, I didn't feel like I had a problem with to begin with, but how are you supposed to know what does it to you? You don't always feel terrible right away if you eat something that isn't necessarily the best for you. Some things do make me feel ill when I eat them right away. For some strange reason, I can't digest millet. And it's a Diamond, even on SWAMI. But obviously I'm not going to eat it just because swami says so. I tried it recently about a month ago, just to make sure, and it did what it always did. Even though I soaked. Thankfully, there are not too many items like this. But this diet is actually less restrictive than I have been. That's what worries me. But I have also been feeling like I may need something a little less restrictive. So........ We'll see I guess.

That was my plan. I didn't want to just throw in a whole day of all new foods I haven't ate in a while. A few here and there will be just fine for me. There isn't a whole lot I need to give up. Black Beans and Avocados are the ones that come to mind. I really like avocados, but oh well. I actually gain a ton of stuff in every category. However, some categories suggest a lower limit on what I'm eating. Like nuts for example. I eat a LOT more nuts than it is suggesting. I'm not sure what to do there but cut back and see if it makes a difference.

That's what I did before. But yeah, things always change. But we all have foods that are supposed to be good for us that aren't. Onions are bad for me too. I determined they definitely spur on my heart arrhythmia. When I cut them out, it doesn't happen. A blood test showed me that I was allergic. But it's the kind of allergy that might go away because it was a blood allergy. Maybe when my guts don't leak anymore, that strong onion chemistry will fade.

Maybe eating black-dot grains would help you gain weight. Isn't the point of avoiding them to drop weight, and if you start gaining it back after a while, cut them out again? So why not eat the black-dot grains? Or maybe eat them after your initial 3-6 months.

I'm not sure. I also don't want to FEEL worse just to be bigger. So, I don't know about the black dots. But now on my swami I get to try Amaranth as neutral. Spelt is neutral too. We just haven't used it that much. Oh yeah, sprouted wheat is neutral. Maybe I'll try some Ezekiel bread again. But I'm not going to eat normal wheat. I'm not even sure I want to eat sprouted. Does that take the gluten out? Not until I'm totally yeast free. Which it is better, but still there. And spelt has gluten too, eh? But then again, so does oats. Just a different type. Maybe I just need to eat rice and quinoa and skip the oats and see if more yeast will die. And try this amaranth stuff.
I think that could be why I don't gain weight????????????? Yeast. I still have one more filling to go but I'm waiting until spring, after AWANA is over. Because I'm helping out and I need all the energy I can get. When I get them out, I feel terrible for a while. At least the other times I have.

You learn something new every day on this forum---I had no idea that black dots were for weight issues---that means that a skinny person should use black dots as superfoods so to speak ??????????????????????????????????????????/
Well, here's what I reason (and somebody correct me who knows better, if I'm wrong): the instructions say that after your initial gene-resetting, you can eat the black dots, but if you start to gain weight again, limit them. So if you're too skinny, why not eat those black dot foods? They might not make you feel worse. Just a guess, but doesn't it seem reasonable?

No Jenny. Black Dots are to be eliminated for three to six months, than tried again one at a time, wait a few days, see the reaction and decide whether you want to keep it in your food plan. (It may do different things to your body, one being gaining weight) I think if you continue your plan you will get to the weight you are suppose to be when your body is back in sync.

I think it's more than weight loss, altho I think that it may be a main reason for the dots.

I was starting to indulge in black dot veggies and fruit more at like places where I didn't have a choice. But I didn't really do that with grains. But what you're saying makes sense. I was also starting to nibble on my kids lamb when I made it for them. I just didn't make a meal out of it yet. But I plan to, now that it's a superfood on my swami.

not really, but as neutrals so long their weight is fine or their health issues no longer give them trouble.

I never seek out black dot foods if I have another option. They are my alternatives if I eat at a restaurant, pot luck or party at someone else's house.
I don't agree that thin people should eat black dots to gain weight. It seems to me that if a person wants to gain, they could try increasing to the upper end of their recommendations foods like fats and oils, cooked grains, nuts and seeds and the fattier versions of any superfood meats and fish. If I needed to gain weight, I would still focus on diamonds and superfoods because they are the foods that maximize health and normalize weight. It's my experience that the superfoods, especially the Diamonds, promote radiant health and balance on all levels.
If I'm understanding this incorrectly, I apologize, and welcome being pointed in the right direction.

Well, I don't disagree with you either Victoria. That also makes sense. I think for me, I just may need more meat. Because that's what my swami is saying. I'll see if that works. But I eat a lot of nuts and grains and that wasn't doing anything. For all I know it was helping me stay thin. But even on the teacher diet, there are two types of red meat that are diamonds, and because it's not easy to get goat or mutton, I never ate them. But like I said, maybe the lamb will help.
I don't plan on touching black dots on my swami. I have too many other choices. Unless like you say, I'm at a party. Beef is now a black dot for me. Problem is, chicken is usually the main course at these things, and that's an outright avoid, instead of a black dot.
But this is a praise report. I went to a wedding last week and had the biggest piece of chicken I had had in like a year. I had ate it 2 other times, real small amounts. But this time I was hungry and I ate it. I could tell I was a little bloated the day after, but my body didn't revolt, I didn't have an episode, and made it through just fine. My guts have to be healing, because a year ago, it would've been more traumatic. Praise God for his healing. Which includes this diet for sure as a help!!!!!

It's probably different for everyone and which black dots they are. I think we all tolerate some foods better than others. I can't wait to try some lamb though. Which I was planning on doing anyways. Which goes along with what you are saying ribbit. It is a black dot on the teacher diet. I always wondered how much of a difference can there be between Lamb and Mutton. Is it that different?
Ribbit, or any of you, do you guys ever try marinades to help digest red meats more? I know you don't eat them ribbit, but for your family?

same difference as with veal and beef perhaps?

Veal calfs are fed a certain diet of just a certain type of milk to make them tender. From what I understand. Veal fed. At least, that's how my cousin called it who raised them. I didn't realize lamb were fed a certain type of diet to make them more tender. The Lamb from Australia and New Zealand are supposedly "Grass Fed" and Dr.D recommends this. So there must be a difference between a Lamb and a sheep, but I have no clue what it would be. Is the meat easier to digest because it's older? Usually that means tougher in other animal species. Like Deer. I always shot the first yearling or small deer that came along because #1 The meat is real tender, and #2, I wasn't sure if I'd get another chance. And #3, I didn't care about trophies, I wanted the meat.
