I was just curious if it would be possible to get either a word or excel spreadsheet from swami express only for the food lists?

I spent an hour making a spreadsheet from my swami and I suspect another hour to do my husband's (haven't done his yet)

I find the shopping list font far too small too read without glasses while shopping.

I selected each food list and pasted it into an excel sheet.

Everything went into column A, but it wasn't hard to select and move Neutral foods and Toxin foods into columns B and C and create the proper headings and portion fields.

To make my lists smaller, I removed any food I simply won't eat, and foods that are not found where we live.

I pasted the shopping lists into MSWord and made the font a bit bigger, also removing any items I won't eat.

I did it that way too, but then found it faster to type into the excel spreadsheet rather than formatting and reformatting.

I work with a little registration program, and my IT guy was able to format in a really nice excel format (rather than a notepad), so just a wish not a need at this time for the swami.

I photocopied the beneficial list to one side of a legal sheet, and the avoid list to the other side of a legal sheet of paper. Used enlargement on the photocopier to make it fill the legal sheet.

Sometimes I want the neutral list also. So I selected the list part of the report and sent it to the printer specifying that I wanted two page images to a side of letter size piece of a paper and to format it like a booklet.  I take this booklet with me when I am doing more serious shopping.

It would really be great to have an excell spreadsheet that you could print immediately without the hassle of recreating everything.

The wallet card food lists are well designed, so you could copy them and edit for your convenience.

I do prefer to have the neutral list as well, so that I don't have to rely on my memory.  This does require setting up the entire list in a spreadsheet, unless you prefer to construct the neutrals by hand.  This is how I go about it:

Copy your SWAMI report into a wp, swipe and copy a food category table, and paste it into a spreadsheet. Make sure that the columns of the table line up with the columns of the other tables so that you have only one column for Diamonds /Beneficials, and for Neutrals, and for Black dot/Avoids. After all the categories are in the spreadsheet insert rows after each row containing food names and paste the "Food Value" down the new rows.  Now you are ready to swipe the  "Food - Value"  pairs of cells and copy them into a new sheet.  You now have a sheet with two columns of information: the food name and in the "square" beside it its value to you.  You can now edit and sort to your heart's content.

Admittedly, I do insert two more sets of rows, and shift the Diamonds and Dots into separate rows of their own.  Also I add a row for each food to keep the food category beside it.

Once you have done this you have the equivalent of your own personal food database.

I already had the food lists that I was able to copy from the genotype website in a nice spreadsheet and it formatted beautifully.  It would be nice if our personalized lists formatted so nicely in an excel spreadsheet.

A million ways to format excel spreadsheet food lists. Did the word into excel etc.  Took the pdf and put in Adobe Professional to grab the words.  It all works, but it is all time consuming.

I would like a basic one of my lists that doesn't take any time to format the way I want it.

I know this doesn't address the missing neutrals but if you select the box that is the shopping list and then print the selection you can make it bigger or smaller as part of the print process..
You can , also, select just the shopping list and copy it to word. There you can delete or add things or just make some things bigger. Maybe that is what you are doing already??

I agree with you so much, Henriette: yes, especially the names of fish are crazy !

It's a huge work to translate. For me it's to french. I feel a bit less alone when I hear from people who also have to translate to another language. Feels good.

I've created a lexicon for my own use with the food names in both languages so as not to have to start all over again (of course, I couldn't memorize all those fish names!!!) when SWAMI will change my diet (I intend to provide it with recent blood analysis results).

I like this place, the forum. I notice that my questions, reactions, doubts sometimes are common to many people. On a neighbour thread, I got interesting answers about why SWAMI thinks I am an Explorer while I believe to be a Warrior.
