Meetings with my physician partner, who is following the Teacher diet, continue apace.
I will Genotype physician & 2 family members because they are very interested to know which foods are neutral for all. We decided to run SWAMI on the family, and then add 12 patients from a variety of health/ethnic backgrounds for an test-run of the whole Genotyping program.
We haven't yet decided if we're going to initially start with Xpress or the pro version.

One thing to be aware of is SWAMI Xpress will run without specifying secretor status. You will get better results if you specify it, but it will still run without it. To run SWAMI GenoType (aka pro) you must know secretor status. It will not run unless secretor status is specified. |

Quoted Text
The major difference between Xpress and GenoType versions of SWAMI is that in GenoType (the professional version) the practitioner can tweak a variety of individual nutrient values for each food, which permits another layer of interpretation. In Xpress, this is done automatically by a special sub-program called Pragma (for "pragmatics"). Pragma mimics the way those values would be tweaked as if I personally was the practitioner: They are what switches I would have thrown based upon history, lab results, etc.

Yes SWAMI GenoType has many more questions to answer. This allows you to create a diet plan based on more criteria.
It is a more powerful tool, but if you do not know what you are doing your settings might reduce the quality of the diet plan instead of making it more specific to a client's need. |

Knowing that you CAN run SWAMI-Genotype (pro version) in Xpress mode is very helpful for making a decision. |
