First, they don't call it Swami Xpress for nothing! I ordered it yesterday and it came today!
My results were GT1 Hunter. I am 49 years old, 5'7 inches and 115 pounds. Can't gain a pound but have a good appetite.
I am in amazement of how much food I am supposed to eat in one day.
Protein requirements equal 16 servings per week (5 red meat, 4 chicken, 7 seafood) so that means at least 2 a day and the portion is larger, 5-7 oz!
Carbs--4 servings a day, so that equals 2 cups.
Vegetables--7 in a day! Wow, 7 cups of veggies.
Fruits--4 per day
Even beverages were high--4 per day
The other food groups seemed manageable.
I don't know if I can get all that food down or if there is even enough time to eat that much. Maybe that is why I am so thin, I need that much food?
I am wondering about the portion for ghee. Is that included with dairy? That number went from unlimited (gentoype) to only 4 tablespoons per week if it gets added in with cheese. I was getting pretty good at smathering ghee on everything.
I read some posts where people didn't feel they have enough food and am I committed to doing the diet just wondering how to get it all in. I just ate a big bowl of millet and spices to try to up my carb intake.
Well, it certainly is an exciting adventure. Anyone else facing this same challenge of eating a lot of food? It is not like I am a light eater, I was eating a good amount of food already.

Lucky, lucky, lucky,
I am still waiting for my Swami Xpress, but then I live in sunny Queensland, Australia. I say, do the best you can in complying with your Swami. It is really an exiting journey and it is nice to know there are so many taking the trip with us. Good luck in your Hunter journey. You could probably update your profile with your Hunter Genotype, so we can see at a glance your type.

It sounds like we have the same recommendations. If you do all the exercise, it might make you hungrier. I can't afford all that fish and I only eat grass fed or organic meat which is not cheap either, so I do my best but it's not as much as the recommendations say. I'm not sure it's even environmentally responsible to eat all that animal protein in today's world. The rest of the stuff I can mostly manage to do.
I think the Hunter intensity in me is like an all or nothing personality. I have trouble not following things exactly, so that may be a problem.
C_Sharp, thanks for the tip.
Cindyt, I am glad I am not alone. Are you as thin as me? One thing I rely on to help with the large fish requirements are canned sardines, skinless and boneless. They are great on top of Romaine or just with veggies. Very economical, between $2.00 and $2.50. These are plump fillets. Favorite brand is Seasons, but Crown Prince is good too. The portion is 3.75 oz. If you want to try, make sure it says "skinless and boneless," makes all the difference.
Today, I am going to try the diet as it reads, at least to see what it feels like to get all that food down. It won't be bad on weekends but the workdays will be tough.
I can relate too Lisa. The amount of food recommended on my swami is way too much for me to eat in a day. I am 5'10" and now hover between 135-138 lbs.
I mean it is nice to know that if I am really hungry, I can eat that much...but the sheer volume is way too much for me on a daily basis.
The way I work it out is that I make sure to get in all my veggies. I eat at the bottom range of pretty much anything that has a range in terms of serving size. I don't think I come even close though, over the course of a week. I get what feels like enough grains, protein, fruit, etc each day. I actually don't really keep track, but once in a while I make note of it so I can see where I am lacking. I try to keep a balance that works for me. I eat small amounts frequently, and that helps. Big meals just don't sit well.
Thankfully I am an A/GT3 so I don't have to eat all that meat! *lol* Then I would really be in trouble!
Note to self (after thinking about the past few days)...EAT MORE PROTEIN!!
Embracing my A-ness! (Ok, that is waaaay better in print than it is out loud! )

Maybe those #s are maximums & if you eat less with the same ratios, you should be OK. I love veggies & only got 5 cups a day. Some days I eat more, & others less, especially if I've eaten 1/4 of a watermelon that morning! I was assigned 2 portions of fruit, but with low blood sugar, that's probably plenty. Since I'm moderately overweight, I got smaller portions, but I eat more anyway. Maybe those amounts are to get you to gain a little. I wouldn't worry about the amounts. Concentrate on the proper foods! Enjoy!

Yes, maybe even a bit thinner. My GI system can only take one can of sardines a week, or I would eat more. All of them are imported and I don't like to think what might be in the cans, like BPA. I try to eat only whole fresh food.
Cindyt, I am actually even thinner but keep forgetting that is with shoes and clothes. I am more like 111 pounds and that is scary. For a few decades I was 125 pounds. About 5 years ago, I lost it somehow, and could never get it back. I don't have a thyroid problem.
I try to be diligent with the safety of my diet. I think the threat of BPA would be in most seafood. I thought maybe the wild waters in Morrocco wouldn't be disaterous, but who knows? I used to have wild seafood shipped for the "pristine" waters of Alaska but there is a limit to how much I can spend. I had Haddock tonight from Canada, wild, I am sure nothing is pure anymore. Very sad. But if I am to eat all this protein, I guess I have to make some allowances.
Mrs. T--I thought the SWAMI portions were supposed to be what I should be eating in a day. It might be because I exercise almost every day. Thanks for trying to help!
Hi Gumby! Nice to meet an A! Well, at least we are not alone. Maybe it's the only way for me to gain weight which I really would like to do.

BPA is the plastic they use to line things like cans, or to make water bottles sold in the US, etc. It's not in the fish, but in the containers. And I'm not sure it's in the sardine cans. Maybe Morocco follows European standards.
I just got my swami done a week ago at Dr. Natalie Colicci, I am a hunter 5 feet 3.5 inch. and 110 Ib, I only get half a cup of grain a day, and 7 cups of live foods a day....3 servings each of red meat and poultry a week and 7 of fish a week etc.....not an easy task but my digestive system seems to work a whole lot better when I do follow it. The only way I get close to eating that much veggies is to juice or make smoothies...and then I think I only managed to do that one day this week.
The detox reaction was not fun.....but if it works in the end I am sure going to try it.
As for the portion size for meat, fish and poultry go by the size of your hands (excluding the fingers) and that is cooked, don't need any more than that.

Just went in a played with mine as far as block one if you check Athlete/or very active and then go down to bottom. Click more frequent/lg portion or Normal freq larg portion. It will adjust when I di mine for best. It came out with lower numbers. I clicked high level Athlete/More freq-larg portions-everything jumped by two. Go back to body building and that will be great to be able to tweak it that way.
You chose your activity level, right? Are you letting the program choose the portions and frequency or did you? Check that and go from there.
It has been alot of fun to play with since I got it yesterday. The cookbook was definitely now I can do some menues for me and then have my kids worry about their menues (which I still help cook, but they choose and help) .
Good Luck. angel

Cindyt, I knew BPA was in bottles, didn't know it was it cans but I thought it made it's way into fish from all the trash in the ocean. Maybe I am thinking of another acronym!
I just went back to a favorite website, http://www.great-alaska-seafood.com. They have very high quality seafood and pride themselves on fishing in the cleanest waters.I have been ordering from them for years, just not as frequently as I would like. Their pricing is good for the quality they offer. Free shipping too!
Hi Angel--yes I let the program choose my portions. I played with it today, lowered my activity level to 3-5 days, I really do at least 5 and try for more, but all the results are the same.
Yesterday I ate all the required food. I am giving it a try because the point was supposed to be this diet was created just for me so I want to trust it. OK, time for my second breakfast!

BPA is used as a can liner.
Alternatives exist they just cost more (2.2 cents per can as I recall).
Eden foods uses BPA free cans.
Quoted Text
For 1 in 10 cans of all food tested, and 1 in 3 cans of infant formula, a single serving contained enough BPA to expose a woman or infant to BPA levels more than 200 times the government's traditional safe level of exposure for industrial chemicals. The government typically mandates a 1,000- to 3,000-fold margin of safety between human exposures and levels found to harm lab animals, but these servings contained levels of BPA less than 5 times lower than doses that harmed lab animals.
Quoted Text
Of all foods tested, chicken soup, infant formula, and ravioli had BPA levels of highest concern. Just one to three servings of foods with these concentrations could expose a woman or child to BPA at levels that caused serious adverse effects in animal tests.
Thanks for that info C_Sharp. That is really something to think about. Very unfortunate since I was eating about 2-3 cans per week. Too bad Eden doesn't make sardines. I have bought that brand many times but not as much recently with the blood type diet. Back in the day when I was eating like an A!

Hi Lisa, Are you small boned? I'm 5'7" also and my normal weight for me is 140. I'm medium boned. You can start increasing your food a little at a time so that your stomach gets used to holding more food.

Yowie!!!! (or whatever expression) about canned food. I know I have asked before if canned bennies were better than fresh avoids & got no answer. Now I read this!!!! I have been eating lots of canned veggies lately. They often are a good answer to the 'munchies.' I really never thought they were so bad. I figured fresh was better, & that canned was more like overcooked. WuHuuu!
