I am debating about purchasing the Swami program but need to know what other stuff I need to buy in order to get my correct genotype on that program. For example, I don't know for sure if I am sector or non-sector, I just guessed. I also don't know if I am a taster or non-taster. I only know that I am AB+ and don't know for sure if I am really a NOMAD or not because being off 1/4 of an inch can put me into a different Geno group according to the GTD book. My question is, will the swami program take care of all that WITHOUT having to buy all the other extra tests???? Any help would be greatly appreciated before I decide if I should purchase this program. Thanks! |

Having a truly customized SWAMI diet you can follow for the rest of your life will certainly be worth the effort to get everything correctly entered in to the questionnaire. The diets change according to your secretor status even if you were following the BTD. And it's probably information that would help to tweak your diet to insure you get the most benefits possible. Guessing isn't what you'd want to do and entering something into SWAMI that isn't accurate isn't in your best interest. SWAMI is pretty darned smart but factual information gives you the best results possible. So if you want to enter something for your secretor status, If I were you, I'd get that tested first and then order a SWAMI. Your measurements need to be accurate for a SWAMI. Taster status is not the most important question SWAMI asks you. You don't have to know your genotype in advance of doing SWAMI because the correct measurements entered into the SWAMI questionnaire will tell you what GT you are according to some very ingenious calculations. SWAMI also takes your family history of health issues into consideration...so my best advice would be that if you're planning on ordering a SWAMI, find out your secretor status first. And make sure you enlist someone to help you double check all your measurements. |

This mostly repeats what Chloe says above:
Determining your secretor status usually makes the most difference. This is not included in the GenoType kit.
The GenoType kit enables you to determine PROP (taster) status, but this is not as important secretor status.
The GenoType kit also helps in doing the strength tests described in the book, if you have not already done these tests you may want the kit. With the exception of taster, these measurements can all be done without the kit.
SWAMI Xpress will run without secretor or PROP status. You will get better results with more information provided.
Secretor status is not time locked, which allows you to change it and rerun the diet reports.
PROP status is a time locked field. This means that once you enter it you will only be able to change it for a few hours. After that you have to call NAP to reset it if it is wrong.

So I need to order the Geno test kit w/o the blood type (because I know my blood type already) and the sector test kit, is that correct? 2 tests I need to order before I get the swami. |
