Much to my surprise I landed in the gatherer group BUT with a receptor worldview. How come?? - is it the nomad part ? or more correct my B part that gives me a receptor rather than thrifty world view ? Phycological I don´t fit gatherer at all. I seem more a weird combo of nomad with some explorer weirdness in (However I do love my food list- just have to get used to see myself as Gatherer) |

I sometimes think that the worldviews are placebos. They are to make you think you are something so you can deal with problems that stress you out normally. As a Teacher I feel far removed from tolerant. |

Henriette, I just read your other detailed post and I am so happy for you! I guess I don't mind being an Explorer because I also love my food lists and it is such a mixture that is ME. Some foods, like you, I just knew were okay for me, carrots, lentils, lettuces, mozzarella cheese and they are moved up for me. Others, like rice flour and some others that I have been having problems with are dots or avoids. What a great early birthday gift for you! Best Wishes Tea Rose |

If you have done SWAMI, did it leave you at Tolerant/Receptor view or switch it. I am a teacher but my SWAMI showed me to be a reactor. I considered that my epigentic worldview was more how my body responded to stress from environmental irritants rather than how I dealt with psychological stress. |

OK how excactly does a Gatherer with tolerant/receptor differ from a gatherer with a thrifty worldview ?
And can you be Gatherer with a reactive worldview.?
Any blogs I should read to understand this ? |

The epigenetic worldview influences how foods are rated in SWAMI. In another thread "bias" was discussed recently. This is another factor that biases the foods selected by SWAMI.
In other words, SWAMI is going to recommend foods that improve the health of people with a particular worldview.
The book gave an indication of the worldview most common (or predominant) for a GenoType. But members of a GenoType may manifest aspects of othe worldviews.
Thus a reactive gatherer is possible. |
