After reading through the forums I think I am a "taster" not a "supertaster".  It was gross and revolting and horribly bitter and made me flap my hands in the air and required juice to wash out, but did not make me gag or shudder violently (as things like natto and fishy fish do).

I notice that this is a locked attribute.

Is there any way to change it or is it locked for eternity?

I suspect my having chosen "supertaster" may be what is leaning me into my "explorer" status vs. my "gatherer" genotype that I obtained from the advanced calculator in the book.

What do you think?  Do you think I'm a supertaster or taster?

You sound like a super taster to me. I believe tasters expience it as just bitter not "gross and revolting".

Well, my daughter and I did the test yesterday. I gave her the PROP paper strip to taste and she nearly "assaulted" me (ha ha..), such was the bad taste. I tasted it next, and it was worse than tasting blackstrap molasses. I don't think that either of us has ever tasted anything quite as bad and repulssive. I'm sure that we must be supertasters.

Any thoughts, anyone?

I got super taster as well. I think on my tongue I have mostly those little pink spots. I need some food coloring stuff to check maybe, but it sure looks like it.
