... my dear old SWAMI. As a result of being typed an Explorer instead of a HUNTER, and whatever other data points the software takes into consideration, I gained some very beloved foods: apples!!!! as a DIAMOND no less oats! lentils!! Tomatillas! Salsa verde here I come! LETTUCE! YAY! been hard to do salads without it string cheese! Lobster!! kangaroo! (sorry, couldnt resist
Lost rice milk to avoid - and I just bought 4 boxes. Hope I can find the receipt ... also lost NUTRITIONAL YEAST - now that is a shocker... And tofu is a black dot now so there is hope down the road... Crab and shrimp are now neutrals, along with tuna (which was beneficial). All in all am thrilled with the new food list, but not so happy with the portions. Oh well, some day I will be happy just eating fruit, veg and some fish |

you mentioned being O negative and left handed, right?
and being a nonnie wouldn t change your output, right? |

I am right handed and O positive, which is one of the reasons I was surprised by the re-typing. And I have no idea if I am a nonnie or not, or a secretor, or any of those more exotic tests (read: I am broke right now) |

When finances permit you should get the non secretor test, even if it does not change your GenoType it may make a substantial change in the diet recommendations produced by SWAMI Xpress. Particularly if you are a nonsecretor.
When you do find out secretor status, simply update the online date intake form and regenerate the SWAMI report. |

changing my data to non-secretor changed my harmonics from Enhance Histone to Glycation removal and had negligible effect on foods I like to eat, except moved apples over to neutral. still 38% explorer! |

it does seem very focused on quieting down my family history of cancer (I had melanoma, sister had bladder cancer, both parents died of cancer, one grandparent). |

Hey, how are you guys doing? I was wondering why so many people in the forum seem to be talking about their handedness? I'm very familiar with blood type diet but I don't know much at all about the genotype diet, does your preferred hand factor into the genotype diet or is this something else entirely?
I have a psychology BA and I know lot about hemisphere specialization so this is very interesting, if you know anything about this or have any links related to this I'd be very thankful for them.

I suggest you read the monographs up at the store, for each of the Geno Types.....before you get a chance to read the genotype diet book http://www.4yourtype.com/explorer.asp
Quoted Text
A lot of left-handers are Explorers, as are people with Rh negative blood type and, although almost any ABO blood type can be an Explorer, 'Non-secretors' also are more common. The Explorer GenoType is largely a GenoType of blood groups A and O, although numbers of type B individuals with African ancestry will GenoType as Explorer as well as some northern Europeans, principally female. A common hallmark of Explorer is the interweaving of A and O blood types in the maternal lineage, with many Explorer GenoTypes having mothers who are type A blood, but who are children of mothers who were type O blood. This intergenerational A-O weaving gives Explorer its unique patterning of epigenetic silencing and activation. Other blood groups of interest that often signal the Explorer GenoType are the Lewis Double Negative and Duffy Null Allele in Africans. The MN blood grouping system and the A2 subtype do not seem to factor significantly in this GenoType.
here s one for you to get started use the pull down menu to chose the other 5 types |

Explorers are more likely to be left handed than some other GenoTypes. But it is only one factor related to GenoTypes. Many Explorers are right handed and many left handed folk are GenoTypes other than Explorer.
This particular forum deals with personalized diet plans created by the SWAMI computer program. The diets created by this program will differ somewhat from those described in the GenoType book. Handedness is the first question in the ninth data entry section (Anthropometry) of the SWAMI program. It is one of many factors considered by the SWAMI program when creating personalized diet plans. |
