Okay, I know I posted some of my blood work results, but I finally had my physical with my MD today. She had been skeptical (of course) when I explained that I had cut out wheat & dairy & was following the BTD. She looked at me with the typical, "You have no idea what you're doing or what you're talking about!" look of disdain that most people unfamiliar with BTD or ER4YT share. Anyway, she said my blood panel was "fantastic" and that I "couldn't ask for a better cholesterol panel." Even though my overall cholesterol is 206 (my highest ever), she said it's only because I've boosted my HDL by 35 pts. & it's now so high & my ratios are so good, she's not concerned in the least with the higher number. She asked when the last time I'd used my pro-air inhaler was (over a yr. & a half ago, thanks to Buteyko breathing & BTD), asked how my allergies were (I've only taken a handfull of allergy meds this season instead of suffering miserably for 10 months out of the year) and also told me that my WBC were actually normal, instead of low, for the first time in my adult life. She told me, "Whatever you're doing, keep doing it!" Who knew you could get this healthy eating red meat & eggs on a weekly basis? Dr. D., that's who! I can't wait to see how much better my results are next year as I've seen such an improvement in the last 8 months. 20 lbs. lighter, I can breathe well enough to exercise daily (including jogging) and I feel fantastic!!! Thanks Dr. D., for making my life a healthier place. |

motivation12... follow her foot steps you are right behind Beachgirl.. .. welcome.. NOW if only DrD could tell me how to improve the health of my car/ / / / But I will say without a doubt: that people HERE learned about good maintenance and so I would bet that we also change the oil in our cars frequently !! good habits go a long way.. |
| When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfection Being 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships |

Thanks for the welcome and encouragement!
Beachgirl, I was interested to hear it was slow going at first, I need to have a major weight loss and nothing is happening yet. I'm going to stick with it , I know I expect things too soon. But I REALLY need to lose some weight now! |

One difference I notice is that Beachgirl has done SWAMI, so utilized the most personalized diet available to her. This was key to Peppermint Twist's success as well. BTD was great for PT, but (either GTD or SWAMI) kicked it up that little notch that really made a big difference. If you need help fast, my suggestion is to get as personalized a plan that is available to you for the greatest chance of success... |

Thanks, everyone! I'm thrilled! Yes, as ABJoe said, I've done SWAMI & even though I haven't been able to find out my secretor status, I'm pretty positive I'm a nonnie & I saw even more amazing changes when I began eating as such. |

Beachgirl, I am so happy for you! I know you have been working at solutions for allergies and the best way to exercise. Great job! The wind we have had lately has done a real number on my breathing and I struggle daily with my sinus issues but you are inspiring and give me hope. (Especially since we share pretty much the same elevation/ micro-climate and general weather.) |
