No cavities. My gums have improved significantly, that is the "gum pockets", the spaces between the gums and the teeth, have decreased in size - which is a very good thing. Not much ttartar on my teeth either, which I attribute to oil pulling. It turns out I do have a carabelli cusp on one molar (I didn't think I had that), but it is so subtle that I couldn't pick it up myself. The dentist said it is barely there. When I entered "present" for carabelli cusp on my swami, I went from 40% to 38% Explorer, but I didn't notice any food values changes. So looks like there is hope for people who have dental issues if you follow you BTD/swami or GTD, and I highly recommend oil pulling. |

Sesame oil seems to be the one mostvuse but as a B, does it fall into the avoids like sesame seeds? I have extra virgin coconut oil which I use as toothpaste so I might use that instead, I find it very soothing for the mouth |

BTypeAUS, the site I read about oil pulling ( http://oilpulling.com/) advises sunflower oil or sesame oil as the best oils to use. Sunflower oil is an avoid for me, and sesame is a neutral, therefore I use sesame. I would imagine if you cannot use either of those, coconut oil would be fine. I know others here use coconut oil (for all kinds of things) and swear by it. |
