I\'ll be happy to address any specific questions addressed to me (rather than have rumors about me and \"maybes\" such as \"Vegan Joe\'s\" comments gain substance).
be well, steve
My only real question is: can one be sure it was only the lack of animal proteins, or was it just the wrong plants? i.e. grains, legumes, avoids, etc.. My thought is that this question cannot be successfully answered, as all of Dr. D\'s diet recommendations were incorporated at approximately the same time, in your case. |

No amount of evidence will change the mind of someone who is invested in something that is contrary. Usually the level of proof required to change one's mind is much greater than that originally needed to come to the original conclusion. How that applies to you, Steve, your best friend's Aunt Sally or anything else is something that you will have to determine for yourself. |

You\'re assuming that all are ignorant and can\'t change, by claiming \"no amount of evidence\", and it still doesn\'t address a valid question. who\'s answer is clouded in a combination of effects. I\'m not into rejecting truth so long as it\'s clear and apparent. The answer to my question is clouded, so why would someone jump to conclusions. |

Um, Hi Vegan Joe, A couple of points: 1) It is impossible to itemize 12 years of experiences in a few paragraphs. I've filled in a few more details below. 2) to address your real question: I believe that it was both - a lack of animal protein and the wrong plants. I could be wrong, but whether I am right or wrong is moot: I'm not really sure of anything. I have no agenda other than my desire to participate in my son's childhood and live long enough to see him grow up. How anybody else chooses to select the foods they eat has little impact on me other than causing my insurance rates to increase. This is not a topic for debate. This is what happened to me. =============================================================================== Additional backgroundI started the blood type diet as a raw food vegan, including making my own sprouted wheat and sprouted wheat flour. Then, to the best of my recollection, I started incorporating cooked vegan foods. This process involved several months, to the best of my recollection (not all at once). In the pemphigus article, I never mentioned my reason for my raw food/vegan/vegetarianism: Most of it was for health reasons, some ethical, and some environmental. As I noticed the improvement I mentioned, I decided that Dr. D'Adamo's theories were more applicable to my health than vegetarian/vegan theories. I therefore decided to incorporate meat into my diet. My first taste was 1/8 of a pound of ground organic beef. At the time I consumed it, I was convinced that my body would reject it (per vegetarian thought at the time). In the 12 years since, I have several times attempted to live as a type O vegetarian. None of the attempts were successful - they all resulted in lack of stamina, sore throats, headaches, tummy aches and general malaise. be well, steve |

His posts (prior to this point) were done when the thread was in the little fishes forum. Posts in little fishes are not included in post count. |

Not at all. It clearly was not addressed to answer a specific question, nor does it assert that anyone is ignorant or incapable of change. I have previously posted here about disconfirmation bias. If you never suffer from it, then by all means disregard what I said. |

Ruth, Steve goes a long way, and currently has other obligations, thus the reason he comes in sporadically
I was lucky to meet him in person 2003 during the very first IFHI certification
He had a ppp presentation about his illness and development following BTD |
