I went for an ultra sound scan today and was so happy to find out that my large uterine fibroid has shrunk in size (by 15%) since 7 months ago when I had my last scan. Even more amazing is that my ovarian cyst has shrunk by almost 40%! The smaller fibroid has slightly enlarged but not significantly. It was amazing for me to look at the images and see the black shadow of the cyst having reduced to almost half its previous size!

I could tell the doctor was surprised when he compared my results from before, but he tried to keep cool and calm

I knew that this was going to happen, as I could actually feel the body healing continuously. I'm so grateful to Dr. D for the blood type diet. I have been following my SWAMI recommendations for almost one year and it is working! I have also been trying to follow the Female Balance Support Protocol (not all, but as much as I could) and apparently it has helped.

Vitex, I believe, has been especially useful toward the cyst. The half year prior to the last scan, I stopped taking vitex and the cyst had not shrunk. But before that, when I took vitex, the cyst did shrink. So I resumed that, along with Fem Balance, which has vitex in it. I also have been taking Aromastat and I believe it has partly contributed to the balancing of my estrogen/progesterone balance, shown in my recent saliva test.

There are other methods that I have been using to add to my holistic healing such as Transcendental Meditation, Vedic sound technology, castor oil pack, positive affirmations and letting go of resentment/forgiving the source of my resentment. I feel that taking care of the spiritual and emotional aspects are crucial in healing and find that they support my physical healing tremendously.

I am so happy for you balletomane ....and always so excited to read about someone's health improving while following these diets.  That's such great news and proves to all of us that our
bodies can heal just about any condition.  I'm sure you loved the surprised look on your
doctor's face~  Did you tell him what you've been doing?

Thank you!!!

Chloe, the doctor didn't ask me so I didn't tell him. But I did have an urge to tell   Yes, it is true without a doubt that our body can and does heal itself! We have such infinite potential waiting to unfold

O in Virginia, that's what my husband said when I told him the good news after the scan! He said I should go back to the first doctor who wanted to scare me into having an expensive operation, and tell him the results! !

Look what you have accomplished!!    These are all very effective things you have been doing, and good for you!

The wonderful supplements:  FemBalance, Aromastat and Vitex!  You are not the first person who has seen their fibroids and cysts shrink after taking vitex.  I always tell people to be patient, keep taking it and be consistent.  Vitex is slow-acting, but has shown amazing results at shrinking them.

My fibrom is also shrunk  and my heavy bleading is reduced a lot

I take vitex, blackcurrant seed oil ( the first 14 days of my cyclus
and magnesium  and B6
I have reduced simple carbs as well most of the time.

Really I ought to drink raspberry leaf and hibiscustea as well - but I never get around to it

Henriette,

Yes, I have also upped my magnesium intake (through spraying magnesium oil on my body--thanks to Chrysta's suggestion) and B6 in my NAP supps so it is taken care of. Reducing carbs! A constant goal to work on but except for "special occasions" and winter time, this is not too big of a challenge at all

I forgot to mention the use of topical progesterone cream. I believe it has also helped me regulate the estrogen/progesterone balance.

Bobbier,

Welcome to this "new way of living"   No need to apologize for lack of knowledge on any of this... I was a newie some time ago and I have learned SO MUCH from the forum members here! Victoria has provided a link that leads to all the protocols for different health issues. For female issues, here is the page:

http://www.dadamo.com/protocols/16.html

Basically if you have female issues, you can follow the recommendations according to your blood type. If you are a non-secretor, you can add a few more (listed at the bottom).

Honeybee,

Sorry to hear you have debilitating pain with ovulation and menstruation. I no longer have such pain during my period. My PMS is all gone. As for ovulation, it doesn't hurt as I haven't been ovulating every month and even if I do, I don't feel any pain. Last month though, I started to ovulate again and my period was precisely 28 days. If you follow this diet and female protocol and stay on course, the pain will definitely lessen and eventually go away completely... I'm sure of that

Thank you AKArtlover, NewHampshireGirl, Ruthiegirl and Wholefoodie.

When all my tumors have disappeared, I plan on informing all the specialists who made me feel miserable and used scare tactics to persuade me into surgery . Yes, writing them would be a good idea

Great Balletomane!!!

I went to the doctor the last week and my fibroid is only 1 cm smaller, anyway I don´t have pain and heavy bleading... ( doctor always recommended surgery, but I dont want)

I follow my SWAMi since 1 year at home 100%, I have been taking Vitex 300mg per day for 6 month,
maybe I must add Aromastat????
My last hormone test was all ok, no Menopause time yet, said doctor

Raquel, 1 cm smaller is no small feat! You should be happy about it. Most women who have fibroids and don't watch their diet probably find them enlarged constantly. If you have been following SWAMI you are reversing the process and this can only be in the right direction. Just stay on course and let's encourage each other!

I find vitex most useful toward shrinking the ovarian cyst, not the fibroids per se. I take about 10 drops of tincture a day in my hibiscus tea, not very much.

I think if you don't have pain and heavy bleeding, you are doing very well already.

When I had an ovarian cyst, I took a whole dropperful of Vitex tincture twice a day for a couple of years.  It had shrunk quite a bit after one year (as seen by my annual exam) and was gone by the second.  Vitex is slow acting and my sense was that it was cumulative, therefore consistency is really important to get benefit from this herb.  But I like it a lot for this type of thing.

Also the transdermal Progesterone cream can be really important for women who are prone to this type of imbalance.  I used it from my mid-40's on . . .
I use slightly less than is listed on the bottle as recommended, because I am using it long-term.

As far as the Aromastat, Raquel, if you feel that you have an estrogen dominance, it should really help.  Have you ever had your hormone levels tested?

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

Awesome! Good job my friend!!! All the information and good knowledge does not work unless someone applies it. Dr.D has shared some awesome information that is helping all of us heal but it's up to each one of us to apply it.

And WOW! You applied it for sure! Good for you!!!

I find it a bit annoying that medical Drs can't get excited (they choose not to) when you heal. Is it out of shock and disbelief because they pretty much never see it happen? Probably. They like to think things should be more difficult. When my protein levels in my urine went from really high to better than normal and my blood pressure went down AND I lost 25 pounds... while I was 4 months pregnant and just followed the btd for a month... the Dr said it was probably because the baby was pushing up on my stomach and that was the reason my weight went down. Silly man. It's unbelievable that we pay these people so much money. lol

O positive baby boy.
