I just received my latest A1c this morning.

BTD works, trust me.  If you're willing to be compliant you can receive remarkable results in as little as 90 days.

My first A1c taken on 5/7/10 tested 6.5 - the lowest reading which indicated diabetes or elevated glucose levels.

My second A1c taken on 6/13/10 tested 5.9 - right in between the pre-diabetes reference range of 5.7-6.4

My third A1c taken on 8/5/10 tested 5.2 - in the non-diabetec reference range of 4-6!

In 3 short months my numbers have dropped a whopping 1.3 points on an eight point reference scale (5-12)!

I have no idea what my A1c would have tested back in Feb and March when I was suffering many of the symptoms of full blown diabetes.

Congrats!!!!  This is a very big deal!  Yay!

Just to share...years ago I went to a vegan center for health.  I had been vegan for years at that point but was feeling awful.  They did an A1C on me as my mother is prediabetic and my father was full blown type 2 diabetic.  Anywho...being in my early 30's at the time, running 25 miles a week and eating vegan diet my A1C was 5.9.  The docs there got all over me telling me that if I didn't watch myself I would be diabetic by the time I was 50.  I didn't know what else to do.  I started cutting out all sugars and such and continued to feel awful.

Fast-forward to now...I had an A1C done only 2 months into doing BTD and I was in the normal range.  I have no doubt it is even lower now because now my diet is even better and I don't have the cravings I used to.

but for the ones who once had high readings.. that is the first indication that staying diabetes compliant is the way to go.. as its in your aging genes that it will show..

For woman I would advise looking at maintaining ALL your hormones for the rest of our lives.. as that will suppot the pancreas as well.. think about it at least.. I was 6 month to late or I would have done it..

Thanks everyone!  However, it is Dr. D that deserves the accolades here.  It is because of his dedication to the research and willingness to share that has allowed me to achieve this quick turnaround.  Otherwise, I'd be like countless other patients running to the docs for assistance, heeding their advice to count their carbs and swallow big Pharma's pills.  

No Cajun, I've yet to explore the Warrior diet.  I did comment recently though if this latest A1c came back favorable I will take out my GTD book and begin incorporating some of the diamonds into my daily diet.  Currently, I follow the BTD and diabetes protocols exclusively.  I eat only super-bennies and bennies with an occasional neutral: allowed frequently thrown in there.  I avoid the avoid and the neutral: allowed infrequently items like the plague.  I get sufficient exercise and at least, although usually more than, the amount of water required for my weight.

Thanks Sue and I'm really in no hurry to fix anything that isn't broken.  I'm perfectly content with BTD and diabetes protocol but interested to see how personalization may change things for me.  I'm going to do the Lewis test first anyway because I don't have a lot of confidence in my saliva secretor testing.

I visited my MD friend again today and when I showed her my A1c results history she was floored.  She even told me today if she's ever diagnosed with something she'll pick the book up again and give it a go but until then she'll continue to pat me on the back and say she's amazed at my discipline.     

And she thinks she is an MD!! What is the logic in that comment?    

In the meantime she will continue playing russian roulette with her lifestyle and that of her patients in the hope that by chance will get it right!  ... if not, the books will be always be there for her to come back too ... hopefully her brain will be too by then ...

I hear you Cristina.  She even said I should come with her to work and share my testimonial with her patients.  I had to refrain from telling her she isn't doing any better than they are which is why I've been sharing my story with her.  I initially dove head first into the BTD lifestyle after a visit with her months ago.  

I do think a lot of people are of the same mindset though.  Things like diabetes, stroke, heart attacks, cancer etc. won't happen to them.  

It's hard for some people to grasp the prevention aspect of health, even MDs.

We have ppl coming into the Health Food shop where I work & they don't want to spend a lot of money & want a one pill for everything fix... I tell them it doesn't always work that easily...& they'll either spend the money now or later when they are sick...

If I could/can I would & do sugest the BTD for them...but of course my bosses would rather I just sold them supplements

Possom my local Health Food Store carries: Unibars, all of the BTD and GTD books, the BTD supplements, has a blood technician in on saturdays to test your blood type, and has the secretor test kits for sale, plus a very knowledgible sales rep. They just started carrying all the BTD type foods and such like: goat, yogurt, kefir, the drek for the A's, ostrich, bison, ect. The don't carry produce as there is a Farmers Market 500 meters up the street. They preach the BTD/GTD then sell most everything that you need. Create a market then service it.

ifhi certified perhaps as well?
