My Eat Right 4 Your Type Testimony Hitting Bottom- My wife & I talk a lot about the various struggles folks have in their lives. Often we notice that people must get to the end of their rope before they are willing to make changes in their life. After struggling for decades with various medical difficulties 2009 was my worst year ever heath-wise. I was definitely at the end of my rope. and something had to change! I decided it would be my Eating Lifestyle. I had thought that my diet was pretty good & not the source of my ailments. My wife thought differently. For years she said “It’s your food!” Well, last fall I decided to eat a more balanced diet, eliminate all processed foods, and cut out fast food altogether. Turning the Corner- After three months I lost 30 pounds but I wasn’t feeling any better health-wise. Thankfully, my wife mentioned a the book called “Eat Right 4 Your Type: The Individualized Diet Solution to Staying Healthy, Living Longer & Achieving Your Ideal Weight “ by Peter J. D'Adamo. After reading the book I told my wife that if this plan worked it would change my life. Within three days of eliminating the poison foods for my blood type my life long symptoms were gone! After six months of following this plan I have lost another 20 pounds and feel great both physically & mentally. I can tell you without a doubt that it has changed my life! In a Nut Shell- First, my advice is to read the book! Do not short cut by skimming for what you should not eat. To give this a fair chance and not sabotage your success you must get the full picture of the science behind your food choices. Both Peter D’Adamo & his father were MD’s who went on to Naturopathic Medical School to study the correlation between illness & diet. Their research found that foods are assimilated differently by the various blood types. File Cabinets- What I tell people is this- God put a lot of food for us to eat on planet earth. Think of these foods as filling 10 file cabinets: one for Fruits, another for Vegetables, a third for Meats, etc… Now, imagine arranging 8 of these ten file cabinets into those that are good for your blood type- what the book calls “Neutral”. That’s a lot of food! Next, the 9th Cabinet of food is like medicine in your body. The book calls these “Highly Beneficial”. These will probably make sense to you because chances are you love these already & they make you feel good! Last of all, the 10th Cabinet holds the “Avoid” foods. These truly act like poison in your body. If you knew that one of your favorite foods was actually poison would you keep eating it? I decided to feel better & gave up my poisons. Take Action- One last thing I can tell you is this- when you follow this program your tastes will change. For instance, I never ate a Beet in my life without gagging. But on this plan they taste like a sugary delight! If this Eating Lifestyle works for you like it has for our family you will be both amazed & thankful! [face=Arial][/face] |

Just to set the record straight and not confuse anyone, I believe both Drs. D'adamo were never MDs. They've always been NDs. |

Roger That. My mistake. Was pointed out to me by another BTD follower. I misread when my head wasn't so clear, pre-BTD days. Glad I got most everything else right!! Thanks. |
