My menstrual periods are going to be completely different than what they used to be.
My second period in which I have hardly any pain. It's just amazing! Going from staying in bed unable to move from pain, discomfort and having my life totally disrupted to being able to go to work normally and only having a mild pressure in my lower belly.
This morning I only took one ibuprofen and that is such a big diff then the 6 or 8 I was used to taking. And most of the time they didn't help anyway, so I just stopped and resigned myself to horrible pain and staying in bed. I also get the impression that the bleeding is less this time but I won't be able to say with certainty till the period is over.
I already said that I get the impression that with GTD the healing is taking place on a much deeper level in your body. I am losing weight as well, not fast, but I rather loose slow and permanent then fast with the risk of gaining it back. I am also feeling much better mentally and not as sleepy since I figured out my iodine deficiency. Life is just so much better when you are feeling healthy. I still have a long way to go before I am where I want to be, but the results up to now are wonderful!! |

Congratulations! I completely understand where you are coming from. My periods used to be 7 days of heavy bleeding and cramps...it was horrible I'm not 100% compliant to Swami but I'm now down to 2 days heavy and the rest spotting |

I'm glad to hear it! I've found that my own cycles are lighter and more regular (as in, 28-30 days, not 32-70 days like I used to have.) A 35 day cycle used to be "normal" for me. |

According to the geno pages a gatherer is mostly O and some B. http://www.4yourtype.com/gatherer.aspAs far as my menstrual period. The bleeding is a lot less also. Today is day 2 and it's as much as normally during day 4. I may be hungry, but at least my female problems are getting less and less. |

Just a final update. While normally I go through 7 or 8 pads per day for three days in my menstrual period, I now can use them for the regular 6 hours and then change, and even then it's not really necessary. On Tuesday night to wednesday morning I had heavy bleeding, but still much less then usual. Otherwise I would get up every 2 hours. Now I just got up once half way through the night.
There are still some lumps in the blood, but I'm starting to sound like a broken record... a lot less. Everything is a lot less, lot less pain, lot less bleeding, lots more comfort. And only for 4 days instead of 5.
I am seeing but still not really believing, so let's see what the next times brings (in 25 days). |

The healing takes place on all levels, and like the Energizer Bunny, it keeps on giving.
Months and months later, and we still notice things returning to normal in our bodies and minds. |

I have experienced something similar in the last 2 months. My periods were 6/7 days and quite heavy at the beginning with alot of pain. Last month it lasted 5 days and was a lot lighter and this month only 3. I have thickening of my endometrial lining and am seeing the doctor for this. I did wonder if the lighter periods could be down to this diet. |
