I had lunch with three girlfriends today and it was such a great experience that I have to share it with you all.

One of the ladies is my best friend. She has the same blood type as me. When I first told her about the BTD, she was resistent to the idea of eliminating coffee and wheat (mainly bread and buns) from her diet. A couple of weeks ago I lent her the BTD book and she read it and gradually put it into practice. Now she has managed to avoid bread but 1-2 times a week, and has totally eliminated coffee. She said she does not even miss it or like the taste now! What a big difference from just a few weeks ago! Then she told us she ate beef every day last week and this resulted in her losing 2 pounds! I could just see the other ladies' jaws drop. I feel so proud of my friend who has accomplished so much in such a short time.

I sort of gave a presentation of the BTD and answered a lot of questions from the two friends who had not heard about it. It was understandably a bit overwhelming for them but they are intelligent women and I got them interested. At the end of our lunch session everyone took out her cell phone and snapped pictures of the ER4YT book Looks like they are going to purchase the book and find out more about BTD!

Wooohooo!!! Fantastic!! Don't you just love being able to help people like that?
I do it at work all the time if people are interested (even my two bosses are kinda interested - one even bought the book...the other one borrowed mine )

Yea, it's gratifying to know when you can help people in such a fundamental way.

There is a *supposedly* organic/health food store here that uses the slogan "Change the World One Bite at a Time." Well, obviously it does not walk the talk. But I like the slogan and I think Dr D is helping us do that in a realistic way.

And I want Dr. D to know that he was in the limelight today in a faraway corner of the world

Great educating, Balletomane. It's just natural when we are so passionate about it and want to share it with the world!

How exciting! I hope your friends do start on BTD and improve their health.

However, try not to take it personally if they don't buy the books, or if they buy the books but then don't really implement any changes just yet. I'm experiencing that right now with a couple of friends and family members and it can be very frustrating if I think too much about it. I have to let them make changes at their own paces.

Ruthiegirl,

Exactly. Most of the people I have talked to don't really "drink the water" even if I have led them to the source. I was super frustrated at first but I also have learned not to take it personally. Since this is the first success with a close friend who takes BTD seriously, I'm super excited about it!

Just keep sharing what you have gotten out of following the protocol.  That's the best advertisement you can use.  Soon others will want what you have and the rest, they say, is history.

The day after I met my girlfriends I had another day of "triumph"    I went to my physiotherapist and at the clinic, three of the ladies who work there came to me and said, "Thank you so much for telling us what to eat and what not to eat!" One of them said her pants are getting looser by the day. The other said she has lost some weight and the other looks slimmer and more vibrant in her face. What a gratification to see them feeling good about themselves. One of them, who is an "A" and was so miserable when she first got to know she shouldn't be eating much meat and flour, now told me she does not feel bloated in her stomach anymore and that she does not feel deprived because she feels full eating her beneficial foods. Way to go!

It's the way I got interested in the diet as well. I was talking to someone who mentioned it and I asked what his results were. He showed me a picture of himself a year earlier... It's the best testimonial one can give.

Wow ballet... thanks for sharing!

Your job is to plant the seeds and when the soil is fertile and ready they will take root.

My, very health conscious, friend that once said to me "I'm not so sure about your 'lil blood type diet" is beginning to take notice as well.

Nice read... again thanks!
