Seriously, if you follow the Type A diet and be honest about it for 3 months, I'm telling you the weight will fall off.. I did it rigidly for 6 months and lost 2 and a half stone and felt absolutely amazing. It's SO well worth it....

OMG.....ladies and guys, I'm just trying on all of my holiday clothes and have almost cried. All the shorts, tops etc which were much too tight and the button would not even meet i can now get in to and are comfortable. Although I have only been eating right for 8 weeks and there does not seem to be a drastic weight loss, my shape has altered.I am so glad I started this and will definitely continue. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the advice and recipe suggestions. xx

"I'm O- and have been on this lifestyle plan (I don't like the word diet anymore) for 5.5 years. I started in October of 2008 and have lost 80+ pounds and except for a bout of 'falling off the wagon' bronchitis have not so much as had a cold. I'm also off my prescription allergy meds that I used to live on.
I was gifted this plan by a woman who runs a health food store. I was a regular customer for echinacea, throat tea, cold tabs, throat spray, zinc, and whatever else I thought would boost my weakened and abused immune system. I went from sniffles to cold to bronchitis in a never ending cycle and as a singer, losing my voice meant losing money. She recognized me after awhile and scolded me for using so much echinacea. By my purchases she could tell I was constantly using it, which we all know isn't good.
She asked me a couple questions and deduced I was Type O blood (which I knew and was amazed that she could figure out) and told me I had to rebuild my entire immune system. Desperate for a solution to my never ending weight gain and constant sickness, I purchased the book Eat Right 4 Your Type and never looked back.
I look forward to sharing and being inspired by you all and continuing to live healthy! Mandy L "

Hello Dr. D'Adamo I have been doing the O type diet even before I found your book. My own body had rejected the foods that are to be avoided by O types. So I have been an avid supporter of your book and bought it for all my friends. My dietitian now uses your book to educate others. Thank you for all you have done. Anne S.

" I read your book Eat Right for your Blood Type and I am very pleased that so much of it makes sense to me. I am O -.
I've tried vegan and could not understand why I felt so chilly all the time. As soon as I ate meat I started to feel better.

Since turning 50 the mild ostio arthritis in my neck and lower back has given me grief. So, I've been very strict with myself and stayed true to the type O guidelines. I am also cutting out all nightshade vegetables which includes tomato.

Thank you for providing so much support on this site. It's a great addition to the book.

I have been very strict with my food for 2 weeks and my tummy is much happier and my joints feel better for sure.
I noticed what can only be described as a brain fog lift last week. I'm excited to see what the next few weeks bring.

Have a wonderful day. Rachel J. "

I too no longer have 'brain fog,' which I suffered from most of my life. I'm type O and I consume no wheat, dairy, corn, potatoes, or coffee anymore and I've never felt so good and healthy. I never have a tummy ache any more, which was almost daily for me when I consumed the wrong foods. I also lost 50 lbs and am finally at my normal healthy body weight - with out even trying. My blood numbers are all perfect, which my doctor doesn't understand because I consume a lot of beef and lamb now. I'm so grateful to Dr. Peter D'Adamo's work!!! Best wishes to All! C. Byrum

I'm amazed at the recent changes to my physique in just 2 days of following the A blood type list of foods. My stomach has reduced so much I can button my jeans today! I was eating so many night-shade foods previously, no wonder I was puffing up! Eggplant lasagna was my favorite comfort food! Today I found a almost empty salsa jar, without thinking, I took a big spoonful! Psssssttpt! It went back into the jar and in to the trash! I'm not as hungry and feel more peaceful. Something that occurred to me, maybe my over whelming hunger was my body telling me to eat more food, to dilute the toxins in all the wheat, dairy, night-shade foods in my system. Thank you for the group support. I'm glad I found the Eat for Your Blood Type Cookbook at a library clearance table. It started me on the right tract!B L Bryant

" Hi joined it three months ago. I have lost 27 lbs yea! I am also diabetic. I am now off insulin. I am also type O. This eating plan will change your life! It is hard at times but the benefits I have received from this are remarkable! Every day is a conscious effort to do the right thing. I was taking insulin and two pills. Now I am down to part of one pill. It is not just a diet it is a change of life. T Sells "

Hello,
I just have to tell you how excited I am to find this website!!! I bought the book ER4YT quite awhile ago because of a few people who mentioned it to me totally out of the blue. I figured it had to be a sign. And it was!!! I tried the A type diet a few times but couldn't seem to stick with it or get it to work. Then I just found that I'm AB type!!! I can't wait to get started again. I'm 57 years old and about 90 pounds overweight. I have read everything that's written here about personality and immune tendencies and they are absolutely right on!! Dr. D'Adamo, I can't tell you enough how thankful I am to find this website with all the information I was looking for along with a million wonderful recipes I can't wait to try. I'm into naturopathic health anyway and this website is the icing on the cake!! I will keep in touch and let you know how I'm doing. Again, thank you sooooo much for all your wonderful work. If everyone would listen to and follow the diets illustrated here, the number of cases of serious illness that plagues our country now would disappear. Thanks again,
K Myers

I read your homepage, "Eat Right For Your Type" and Your works on the different effects one's blood type has on our body. You teach to think out of the norm. Many people research how to cure the problems that arise, but I was really moved to find you, who researched the inner causes of why those illness or problems may be more prevalent in some individuals compared to others. Your research is amazing however your mind of thinking beyond the observed and researching the invincible inside, is truly an amazing work. A remarkable individual like yourself, who challenges to think outside of the norm, is an incredible inspiration. Dr. D'Adamo your research work is amazing. I was drawn to what mind and heart you had to think about researching the inner source rather than finding a quick cure for a problem. This is the mindset I would like people to learn. Anybody can find a quick cure or solution to most problems. However it takes a remarkable individual to challenge not only the problem but to question the "why" the problem arises in the first place. Thank you so much for your time, your expertise and consideration. Sylvia C.

I was going blind with hardening of my corneas about 50 yrs ago. Only 20 % vision remaining. Sweet corn from local farmers in Michigan, where I lived, was one of the triggers that caused the "activity" that was the progression of the hardening. I never ate much corn because it seemed to go through me undigested. Since on the Swami Explorer diet, I am eating more certified organic. I now subscribe to Abundant Harvest Organics that has CA currently available fresh foods. I get a box of veggies and fruits and herbs every other week. The last 2 times had 3 ears of fresh sweet corn, so I ate one ear a day w/my usual allowable lamb for protein. I had no digestive problems, no visible evidence in my stools. Yesterday, I found a small pkg of frozen corn in my freezer (no organic) and had it for a meal balanced w/a bison burger. It went right through me undigested! BTW, a high protein low carb diet reversed the damage to my corneas and I was able to get my driver's license back within a year! The specialist that dx'd me with a rare progressive eye disease was amazed. (I was generally a very healthy young woman at the time and the usual serious major organ diseases that usually contributed to the eye disease did not exist with me.)
