My story is interesting, Ive been a semi-vegetarian for 40 years, read the books in Nov and discovered I've been eating wrong for all that time. AND been dieting for all that time trying to get rid of excess fat and never could, now I know why!! Ive been really shocked to find my love of bread, pasta and cafe lattes has been so wrong. Have changed all that now, dont eat or drink any of that food anymore, lost the flab and feel better than I ever have. AND the most amazing thing is I cant seem to get enough of the red meat which I have boo-hoo'd for all these years. I love the blood type diet.

Tried a vegetarian diet twice in my life = lasted 9 months each time. As a B blood I need, NEED meat and milk, especially bifidus/yogurt. Used to sleep naked but on that vegetarian diet I was always so cold, I started having to wear PJs. Would be nice to live in a vegetarian world. But the hawk comes to the bird feeder behind our house and gets dinner. That's the world/life we live in this time around! Eat your meats - Os & Bs and some ABs.

I have been taking the El Dorado (2xday) for three weeks and can already see my mid-section shrinking. I am extremely caffeine sensitive, but have had no problems with the ED.  My energy level is definitely on the rise, but I had not attributed that to the El Dorado.  I guess I should be. I take  Glycoscia, Harmonia (in my AB smoothie), Deflect, Trehalose and ARA--to name a few--and have been for some time.  Adding the El Dorado has been key to my mid-section and apparently my energy level. DrD is a genius--but then we all know that.

" First, thank you Dr. D'Adamo for the wonderful information I have found in your books and on the website. Over the last several years, when I followed my blood-type diet, I felt better. When I strayed away from it, eventually, I felt ill.  I am excited to report now my husband is on board with the blood type diet!

Second, I recently ordered the SWAMI Express so that we could tailor our diet for the maximum benefits. We just received the package. I would like my husband to use the kit we received today, because he is a diabetic with high blood pressure and gerd. I know that as he fully embraces this new lifestyle, he will improve his health. However, it would be wonderful to begin this next level toward better health together.

Third, please know that you have impacted lives in such a remarkable way. My husband  started the diet two days ago and has lost three pounds!! I tell everyone I know about your blood-type diet!  Thank you, thank you! "

I thought I would finally post my "journey". I read the Genotype book years ago, believed in the whole thing, but was too addicted to sugar and eating wheat and dairy to try. I got pregnant last year and bought the Baby book. I started buying grass fed and finished beef from a local farm. I also ate more of the approved produce. I only gained 10 lbs which was recommended for my size. I still had a lot of cravings and couldn't fully do the diet. Fast forward to giving birth 3 months ago. My daughter was getting a rash on her face and I remember my 11 yr old having one. I attributed it to an allergy to dairy and decided if I couldn't do 100% compliance for me, I would do it for my daughter. So, I started on January 8. I lost 20lbs in the first month! A total of 25lbs in 6 weeks. I have been 100% compliant since day 1. My son is not overweight per se, but he had a some extra weight to lose. He has been 80% compliant (school lunch is the only non compliance) and has lost 13lbs total and has seen an improvement in his basketball performance. The thing that got me through the first 2 weeks was having a tablespoon of chocolate chips made by Enjoy Life brand that are dairy, gluten, and soy free. I am now free of my sugar addiction! I am a true believer. Also, I noticed an increase in energy within a week. Have not started an exercise program, that's next!

I wish I could go back and learn all of this before I got pregnant. I started when my second was 5-6 weeks old and started showing signs of colic which immediately disappeared when I went 100% compliant.

I was actually dying - with multiple auto immune diseases - in contstant pain and almost unable to function at all. On multiple prescriptions. My neighbor talked me into trying the original Blood type Diet.

The turn around in my health can only be described as miraculous. Within 6 months I was virtually pain free and with consultation with my MD doctor was off of all prescriptions! I now take supplements as needed.

Last year I began having some pain problems again and thought perhaps, since the original BTD was so old and since Dr. D'adamo has continued his research and made incredible progress, perhaps it was time for me to progress also.

I bought the GenoType Book but I didn't fit into any of the genotypes. So, I decided to do the SWAMI Xpress on line - which "kicked out" an individual diet for my body that is a combination of the Explorer Genotype and the Blood Type Diet, but customized for me personally.

BINGO! I am back on track now. I know I am just one person, but I have seen the blood type diet perform similar miracles with other people who have actually followed it as written, not "as they felt like it".

"Good day Dr D'Adamo

My name is Amanda, I have read 2 of your books. I think I'm to help people heal emotionally, but emotions and food to me run together. If you help them to help them selves, you have succeeded in the goal of emotional healing

You see I'm just a stay at home mom in South Africa. And people just talk to me about their problems.

And ones again thanks for the books the have help us a lot.

May you be blessed in the work you do to help people around the world.

I went years ago to a health food store in my neighborhood and dropped by for some vitamins...I was looking at diet aids, thinking that it could help me lose weight.  The man behind the counter told me of this book and that his wife lost weight with it.  I ordered the book.  I am proud to say that it was not the kind of diet I was thinking of.  It was a way of life in eating right.  I lost 65 lbs in 18 months.  I did see my PCP to find out my blood type.  I practically eat like a vegetarian.  I could not believe how much eating red meat made me not only sluggish, no energy and FAT!!!  I now abstain from eating red meat, absolutely no steak cravings or bad foods.  I now incorporate foods I never heard of and find ways to make.
I have not once gained back any of the weight and I wonderfully am still losing.  I feel so healthy, I just want to say thank you for this book.  I have talked with others about it and they have seen my results.  I have and do highly recommended this book.

Sincerely,

J Ramirez

One thing I'd suggest for long-term success is to pick a percentage you can stick to for following it. I'm most successful when I follow it at 80-85%. I allow for "cheating" and then back off when I notice symptoms creeping up. When I was following it at 95% and didn't allow for cheating I had increased anxiety and "cravings". I did this before gluten-free became a household word, and had abstained completely from wheat, grains, dairy, beans, sugar, alcohol, even fruit completely. There were little grain substitutes then. And, I had been a vegetarian for years before. ftr, I was introduced to this eating program by a naturopath after I had been diagnosed with sinusitis, chronic migraine headaches, asthma/ms/chronic depressed immune system disorder/chronic fatigue/fibromyaglia syndrome/candida/leaky gut/celiac's disease, etc. Surgical removal of my colon was being suggested by 2 GI specialists because it was determined that I could no longer digest fiber, and had been put on a diet of the consistency of baby food and white bread. I made my own "nutritious foods" with a Vitamix, and hardly ate anywhere else. My symptoms were so bad that I could hardly walk across the room and could barely breathe without inhalers, I also had chronic pneumonia and other viral and bacterial infections (after I had been a long distance runner for years). But, Colonics, nutritional therapy, and the BT diet changed my life, and I didn't need surgery for either my colon or my sinuses. In fact my prolapsed colon returned to a normal shape; and the colitis, celiac's, leaky gut from candida all "reversed" themselves. When I verge too far off, not only do the gastro symptoms return, but also increased inflammation in my body and other symptoms. For me this isn't a DIET, this is a way of life. M Ullman

I have been a vegetarian since 1981 when I stated working at the health department in N.Y.C. Although I got your book about eight years ago I didn't start to follow it to the letter until six months ago. Arthritis started to get the upper hand and I decided that I would not arm myself with drugs to fight it. I have had several "trigger finger" surgeries and have a number of screws in my neck, shoulder and low back. My last mistake was a knee replacement which has been disastrous.

Since I started my type A diet, six months ago, my three painful, paralyzed fingers are now closing and opening easily. The awful pain in my right elbow and left knee are almost all gone. I know that I'm doing the right thing although the detoxing period, during the second month, was a bit frightening.

I now have three friends in N.Y.C. that have agreed to do this, and two families here in Florida who got the book and are doing it too. They have seen the miracle that it is doing in my life. My feet are no longer swelling like balloons. I am following the A diet religiously and am living with so much less pain that I will never stop. Thank you from the bottom of my soul. A. Sandoval"

End of week 5 bb diet, awe what a better week. Huge revelation; was feeling bummed for nearly 10 weeks about no weight loss, but then changed my attitude and realized I've maintained my 17 lb weight loss, and that alone is success.

I have all of the Eat Right for your Bloodtype books. I was having major sinus problems and gaining weight like crazy. I read that eating wheat causes sinus problems and being a type O, I decided to give it a try. I lost 30lbs in 5 weeks and no more sinus problems. Thank God for Dr. D'Adamo's work!  K Carr

it has been weeks since I started eating for my blood type , somewhere around six weeks I think, My mother in law introduced this to me she had lost 80 lbs and was able to come off all 6 of her medications all in a year and 3 months! I have felt so good since starting. You don't realize you feel bad till you feel great...I work 12 hour days and I'm full of energy! I just weighed and I have lost 10 lbs so I'm back to where I need to be. Ive always struggled with anemia and was told to eat more read meat ! Now I eat none and have had no problems with that, I've had a stomach issue for 4 years that drs cant figure out...thats long gone. It has been a huge adjustment and very hard but now when I'm tempted to eat the way I used to I pass it up because I want to keep feeling this way.  A. Norwood  "

" When I went vegan I had studied for a month to make sure that I got all that was needed. I was on the diet for three months. I lost weight and I did not feel well. In the end I begun to throw up. I think that the reason I begun to throw up was because of all the stomach acid people with our bloodtype have. It was a friendly lady at my health shop that told me about this diet. I was telling her about how I felt and she told me that she her self could not thrive on a vegetarian diet, because she was a O. I did not know my type at that time, but when I took the test I found out that I was an O and later that I was a non-secretor. To find out about the bloodtype diet is one of the best things that have happened to me, I feel like I owe this woman my life. When I went on this diet I begun to feel better right a way. My acne disappeared together with my food intolerance and I found a new peace inside. I am grateful for Dadamos work, because it have helped me so much and I think it´s cool to be the oldest bloodtype there is I think I have to stick to this diet for the rest of my life...  A. Dr. D'Adamo, your BTD has changed my life! For years I've suffered with severe digestive issues, tried everything I could find. My local health food store highly recommended your BTD, it took some time for me to listen, but it has been like connecting the dots. On the BTD I do very well, when I get off for a few days, my suffering returns! Thank you so much! P McKenzie

I have been on the diet since 2007. I bounce out of bed in the morning and fall asleep when my head hits the pillow. The health of my skin improved - warts fell out and acne cleared up completely. Blood pressure of a 20 year old. I cut $30 per week from my food bill. I eat less and have more energy during the day. Better stamina than a 20 year old of today. AND I get to help the planet by sharing the food resources with all other people. Sustainable agriculture.  I. Donald
