I recently started following the Eat Right regimen. Since then, I've stopped gaming weight w/o much change in exercise or appetite. I may be losing excess fat and gaining muscle. I've noticed also that I'm not as groggy when I get up in the morning. As I continue w/ this program, I'll check back in occasionally w/ updates. Good luck.

" I'm so grateful for Dr Dadamo and how he has changed my life and he has no clue how much of a part of my life he is and yet doesn't know I exist lol. It is because of him that after being told my whole life I couldn't get pregnant that in 2009 after 6 months of being on the BTD that I got pregnant. I now have a 2 year old daughter because of his work. I have dieted my whole life and nothing has ever helped me like he has.

Forever grateful! "

Yes the book was the only reason I got rid of all those things!! I'm AB blood type and I Was eating all the wrong things which caused me to be very constipated. With only having a bowel movement once a week Which caused me a lot of pain and Migraines! Now After doing this diet I go free times a day and haven't had a migraine in months and reduced my anxiety by learning that AB blood types Have natural adrenaline in our blood so I cut out all caffeine and now I sleep great!!

It's easy, I've been doing it for 5 years, my husband lost 90lb in 2 years. We eat lots of broccoli, salmon, rice, I cook me a small pan of organic meat loaf, and by him a rotisserie chicken. We make tofu stir fries, we both have pineapple protein shakes with blueberries in morning mine with o protein ans his with a protein. Pineapple is a noninflammatory for both of us. So be encouraged for a great challenge if your a O you can do anything.

Since following Peter D'Adamo's 'diet', my body has started falling back into her natural state quite rapidly. Being blood type A, weight loss should occur quickly, especially after eliminating meat and dairy. 4 kgs in approx one month.
Gotta be happy with that!

Ok A friends, I am celebrating tonight! Just got back from my doctor visit and he was over the moon excited about my blood test numbers. All the high ones were down and the good ones were up. My weight down, allergies and congestion gone. He couldn't believe it and wanted to know what on earth I was doing. He said I was the poster child for improvement and I needed to come teach classes at his office! And all this after about 2 months on the ER4YT Program. I am soooo excited and I can't wait until December when I go back.

" 10 days I have been eating for type O and i have also added in a
20 min Turbo Jam plus a 20 intense ball routine and as of today I have lost 9 pounds... I feel so much better and as each day goes on it is becoming easier! I have had insomnia for so long I had forgotten what it felt like to sleep good and wake up refreshed as i did this morning... I am reading a book " Blood type O" while waiting for my "Living with your blood type" and it is amazing how many things I eat that are bad for me and why I felt so tired and sluggish. Still have issues with training my brain but I will get through it.. "

"When my youngest grandson (A+) was 3 he used to have horrible psoriasis on his shins. My daughter tried all the regular Doctor routes. Nothing worked. He loved bananas and red peppers and ate them nearly every day. She finally tried an alternative method. The lady worked with Blood Type Diets and after cutting those 2 foods out and a few other changes, guess what, his psoriasis disappeared.
That's what got me looking into Eating Right for your Bloodtype. "

I haven't been here for a long time and I couldn't find the Lyme thread so I hope it is okay that I post here.

I am finally in remission from Lyme and coinfections.  I can't believe I am saying I feel good.  Almost scared to say it out loud, but I know my swami got me here.

Over the past 2 years I have tried my best to stay away from the inflammatory foods and eat all the good ones on my list and it really paid off.

Thank you Dr. D.  I was a skeptic when I first read about the diet but am a life long follower now.

We were on BTD for a good number of years, hubby and son were doing very well on it , I wasn't doing as well although I did not think it was a diet issue as we are all O- . ten suddenly my hubby was extremely ill with stomach ulcers and we almost lost him and I also became very ill shortly after. Then we went on GTD and both hubby and son (hunters) are doing super well and I (explorer) am definitely better than I was but have issues with some of the foods so am just going to go on Swami and see if there is an improvement. When I was eating BTD I changed my diet to suit the protocol but this was the wort thing I could have done because as an explorer I was eating correctly for my type..the only thing I needed was meat! but for hubby and son it was fine. Now on the GTD my hubby has no difficulty with his stomach but does not eat tomatoes or spices and our son is able to control his diabetes without effort and his mind/brain is sharp and clear. In general I do think with each finetuning in d'Adamos research it can only be an improvement.

" Adhering to the Blood Type Diet is a lifetime commitment and should not be taken lightly. On January 26, 2013, I eliminated gluten entirely from my diet and started adhering to the Blood Type Diet. Within a week, my heart rate went down, my arthritis was down to 2 on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being excruciating. I also noticed that my chronic fatigue was gone, the mental fog had lifted, the terrible bloating feeling was gone and my IBS had substantially decreased.

As of today, I am like a completely different person. I feel healthy, full of energy and optimism. Amazing what food can do! "

Dr. D'Adamo, I just wanted to echo the sentiments in the post below, YOU HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE! I too suffered from mounting medical issues and in November of 2012 was locked in a downward spiral medically, quite possibly knocking on death's door. Going gluten-free and adopting the Blood Type Diet changed my life. Many of the illnesses I was suffering from and had visited countless medical professionals about without success have been eliminated! I am still learning from your books and healing and I have a long way to go but I am sharing my experiences and pointing others to you in a blog I started recently. I want others to discover the Blood Type Diet and turn their lives around and end their suffering like I did. Thank you so much for saving my life!

from my own personal experience as a small child I had ear infection after ear infection, tonsils out at 4. years and years of sinus infections. Sinus infections were the only thing I ever went to the doctor for. I had sinus surgery in my mid 20's. Still had some sinus issues but not as severe. 10 yrs ago I read ER4YBT and found to be A+ but refused to accept that was the way of eating I should follow. fast forward 8 years, had health issues, numbness, tingling in head and right side of my body. Doctors kept thinking I was having mini strokes but all test proved negative for that. With an effort to lose weight, removing carbs and reintroducing them I finally made the connection wheat is my enemy. looked at ER4YBT again seeing it said wheat is an avoid for me. I thought hmm might be something to this. but still didn't commit to the plan. another year passed in an effort to lose weight again I did a cleanse and found that Dairy is a not good for me either. So once I made up mind wheat and dairy had to go my sinus issues are gone. i do not have a build up mucus. After much trail and error and coming back to er4ybt and it confirming my findings doing other plans. I'm convinced this is the way to live. I feel much better.  avoid the wheat, dairy and as much as possible  limit the avoids for a type A blood type. I wish my parents had the knowledge years ago that I have now.

O+ here, eating organic, grass-fed red meat provides O's with high quality protein & increases our lean muscle mass...5 years ago I had stopped eating red meat, though I loved it, because of the media hype & was eating more chicken, fish & pork, but my energy levels was non-existent. I was ALWAYS tired. 19 months ago I read an article by Dr. OZ on ER4YT, so I got Dr. D's book, read it and started the "diet". Now I eat beef 2-3 oz of beef 1 -2 times a day along with chicken, fish and plenty of veggies & fruit. Now I have energy to get me through the day, my cholesterol went from 260 to 150, my arthritis pain & inflammation is gone along with the braces i wore on my wrists. I no longer take meds for allergies. I use to take a pill, nasal spray & eye drops costing $75.00, now goes toward food. month] the choice to eat meat is up to you. I made the right decision to me...I'm hoping to finish my Swami this week so I can start my personalized food list...

I have been following Dr. D'Adamo's work for quite a number of years..ever since Ear Right came out in 1996. I followed that diet for about 4 years, then got side tracked. In 2003 I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer, Stage 1, had surgery, chemo, and have been cancer free ever since. However, I always knew that not eating right played a key role in my getting this disease as I had no known risk factors and was in good health. I have been on a quest ever since to find the exact way I should be eating for my body. I know I have found it and plan to stay compliant for the rest of my life. I know I will fall once in a while, but with the help of these groups I will get back on track.

Wheat bothers me, but I have had IBS for years and had even more problems since having my gall bladder removed in '03. I can only eat sprouted wheat and only use soy, rice flours etc. no wheat for me! Eat Right saved my life!

Many, many years ago when I first discovered the BTD I put down the book and said I would never do it. I was not ready to give up potato, wheat... you know the list! I am an O nonsecretor. About 4 months later I saw a friend who had started it at the same time I refused and she had a bounce in her step and a sparkle in her eyes that I had not seen in years. Needless to saw, I bought the book and I have never looked back! It is a life changing experience! And there are so many new foods to taste, you will not even miss your old foods.

I was 60 when I found the blood type diet in 2005 when I got my first computer. At the time had CHF/hypoxia,diabetes, heart attack and COPD,osteo-arthritis, was on predizone & steroid meds for COPD and other meds for other problems 13 three times a day. was on oxygen 24/7,could not lift a coffee mug, with one hand. Could only walk baby steps with a walker, needed help showering, drying, dressing(home health aids 3 hrs a day 8 days a week, lost 50 lbs in six months, maintained six months, lost another 50 lbs and went on from there to lost 65+. Went from a 5 X top to a Med. From a 34Wdress to an 8/10,recently. Can walk alone, can take care of personal needs, no longer need HHA, no longer need oxygen or meds. Eating healthy, exercising daily, and now living life fully.

I have lost 15 lbs in last month first 10 was slow then faster. Need to loose 30 more. No FRUIT JUICE, only whole fruit. NO CARBONATED DRINKS. No SUGAR only Raw local Honey. No FRIED FOOD, pan fried in healthy oil ok. No WHEAT. No RED MEAT. NO DAIRY, except goat cheese. LOTS OF VEGETABLES whole grains and legumes. Only tea 4 hrs before bed. Going to bed by 10 PM lowers Cortisol and lower stress of course. 1 oz. of liquid for every LB you weigh minimum. 1/2 PLATE VEGETABLES, 1/4 PROTEIN, 1/4 GRAINS
