"I am an O+ nonnie Hunter and for me it was a progression. I started with the Blood Type Diet, but I knew I still needed more. I then went to the Genotype Diet and again felt like I was still missing something. Next, I invested in my SWAMI, but still I wasn't feel as well as I thought I should be. Finally, I did the secretor test. Once I had all of the information and began to follow my individualized program, the way I felt improved by leaps and bounds. My worst symptoms disappeared and my energy improved."

"I am O and I started the blood type diet45 days ago.
I was having extreme skin problems. I have been to dermatologists, allergists and general doctors. Nothing seemed to help.
so my friend Karen bought me a book and a kit.

after 45 days of eating beneficial foods, eliminating the bad foods my skin has cleared up, I have lost 9 pounds and I have more energy and sleep better at night.

THANK YOU"

I am a true lover of the ER4YBT supplements. I have been on and off of them for over 1 year now. I just got my blood work back from the doctor and I am no longer anemic, glucose is normal , blood pressure is normal and chorlestrol. I am all good!!!! These supplements work if you take them!!!~ Eating right and exercise helped as well."

I always thought foods were divided into two groups....foods you could eat and foods you were allergic to.  I occasionally read articles that mentioned the term food "intolerances" but they were never explained.  I knew I had an allergy to pecans as a child and avoided them.  I knew too much bread or milk bothered me but not like my pecan allergy so I had no idea what was going on.  After reading an article in a woman's magazine, Goldie Hawn mentioned gluten and that started my search to discovering I had celiac disease.  I remember being so glad that I had solved all my problems.  Not so.  I still seemed to be having health problems caused by food...but WHAT?  Then a few years later the BTD diet really helped identify and clear up a lot of other questions and problems with food that I still had.  Who knew orange juice(that I drank every morning), cauliflower, potaotes, pork, coconut, cashews, peanuts,  VINEGAR, strawberries, kiwi, cantaloupe, cucumber and other foods I ate all the time had pesky lectins or other agglutinins that messed with me. I wan't allergic to those foods so I never would have figured it out in a million years on my own(or with any of the doctors who liked to say "it's all in your mind" and be done with me).  Thanks for the leg up DocD.

"I have been eating according to my blood type since the first book came out-- and have been following along with all of the innvovations. I currently use a personalized SWAMI. Living with this way of eating and taking care of myself has changed my life tremendously for the better... my health, my state of mind, my ability to cope... and I have recommended it to countless friends."

Good morning,

I love your books and the concept of eating "right" according to ones blood type!  I've been on this "diet" (lifestyle CHANGE, I like to call it), for several months now, and the "fat" weight has been dropping like crazy, and my energy level has soared...once you learn your foods, it's EFFORTLESS!!!  I am always content (hunger-wise) and my weight is EXACTLY where I want it to be (after struggling with the 40-something tummy tire/hormonal issues for years!).
Thank you

Yes the A type diet has stopped my allergies in their tracks. Six months ago I was so bad I was going to have allergy shots again (had them over 12 years ago and they were great) anyway havent had one reaction to painting/dust etc during renovations or garden stuff or pollution whereas I was having a sinus/flu type reaction at least once a week so from that point of view I am wrapped. Have only lost a kilo or so but have lost quite a bit of flab from the rear end and had to drop a jean size! I was a huge red meat eater and although I had limited most dairy and wheat over the past few years I have now changed my grains and put back a bit of yogurt/feta. I love yoga and tai chi and like so many other As dont know why I forked out $$$ for gym memberships for years that I didnt enjoy. I think for me the A type diet is the way to go and will do the swami in a few months

Almost twenty years ago, when I was in college, I came across the blood type diet and tried it (strictly for weight loss). It was fantastic, and I loved it! Then I met my husband, and caved to his love for bacon and steak and all things meaty. Now, 15 years later, I am about 60 lbs overweight, I am diabetic, and desperate to get healthy again. I was going through some boxes in storage last week, and I found my old Eat Right For Your Type books. I convinced my husband to try it with me (he is also a type A and overweight). We have been eating the type A diet for about 5 days now, and we both feel fantastic! We have a long way to go to get "healthy" again, I know, but we are determined to stick to it and make it work! Thank you for welcoming us to your supportive community here - I am looking forward to meeting you all and sharing new ideas!

Absolutely!
My ankles are normal again, I've learned that wheat keeps my hands and ankles inflamed and that's the culprit that has kept me from losing weight. I have eliminated wheat from my system since February 2, and I've lost 16 lbs. Me! having no thyroid and nine months smacked into menopause. The good news...my doctor is just as astounded as I am and has been reading ER4YT!

"I want to thank you for giving me my life back. I first started the diet about two years ago when I was suffering from the effects of multiple medication including oral, nasal, ophthalmic steroids. I was in the middle of a rigorous academic program and could not function for more than 2-3 hours a day. I ended up leaving the program due to my faculty mentors moving on to different institutions. Due to the GenoType Diet improving my health drastically, I am able to continue on my journey and participate in an even more rigorous academic program as a fellow in a highly competitive scholarship program. I literally owe you my health, life, academic career (and future career path), and well-being! Thank you thank you thank you! Even if I am about 80% compliant on a daily basis, my health has improved so much I am much better than when I first started the GTD!"

Thanks To Dr. D., SWAMI and the BTD/GTD, YES, I really believe I am on the mend now, especially as I am being real careful to stay compliant, and it's not hard to do'
I love the 3 meals a day, not counting calories or sizes and losing weight down to what I'm meant to be.
My younger sister and my mom seem converted too, mom and sis have been to the clinic in CT, guess it's my turn next, I am just resolving some big computer problems at my house and recovering a bit before I feel ok to travel.
SWAMI really works, especially the Geno-Harmonic combinations, weird though some of them seem!
We were not taught when growing up how important WHAT we ate was, if it tasted good we'd eat it.  And for a normally extremely healthy person, with not even a cold in about 4 years, I had such a shock!  MS, an incurable disease!  I guess after the shock, and a LOT of prayers, my detective instinct kicked in, that's how I stumbled upon, or got 'Sent to', the BTD and GTD books and diets.
It's a pity it isn't faster, but I didn't get this way overnight, it just seems like One Day, One Cell at a time!
With no effort I am now at my early 20s weight, and my O+ husband also lost 40lbs.  It's very hard not to preach when people see me after some time and notice the size difference!  And I am having fun learning to cook in a totally different way.  (I love my banana bread with rice flour and agave, so do son and hubby!)
Oboy, Easter's coming up soon, that's more recipe hunting!

I began the ER4YBT about 20 days ago. As a type O Positive, I naturally follow the ease into it process. I am almost 70 and I have gone from having to take a laxative 3 times a week to not having to take one at all. This is a big plus for me. Of course I am also doing whole foods blending in the morning, however, I can tell when I eat something I should avoid. My body has an immediate reaction. Thanks so much for your time and study.

my experience: I am A+, I went from 185lbs to 140 eating like it was my last meal at every meal. I had plaque in my carotid and femoral arteries that is now gone. I was anemic my whole life (but no more). My cholesterol has gone from 210 to 141. My triglycerides went from off the chart to 110. Every single blood marker that was out of range is now in range. any questions?

I was about fifty pounds overweight with chronic joint pain and frequent bouts of gout. When I learned from an oncologist that I "needed a complete hysterectomy" I finally faced the need to make smarter food choices. I never went back to the oncologist but I kicked the cervical pre-cancer, along with the joint pain, general overall inflammation, gout, and body fat. I now weigh about 125-127 every morning, about the weight I was when I graduated high school, and I'm 69 now. I really am a true believer in the BTD. I'm a Type O Non-secretor.
