My sincerest gratitude for the great work! Having suffered for many years of headaches consuming numerous medications including amitriptyline and forced early retirement, I was surprised to learn my solution was in print. Thanks to a friend who had a copy of your book and shared my pain. All I had to do was forgo chick peas, peanuts, corn, cashews, pistachios and some others, my headaches are nearly gone. When I do get an occasional one,I can almost almost always diagnose. These few words are no match for your many but they are heartfelt and appreciative. May God bless you and your work and grant you long life to rescue many!

I am an O non-secretor.  Thank you for making me feel so much better.  I'm not taking the purple pill any more and my eyes have stopped watering constantly.  All this from eating for my type!

Thank you,
M F

I'm just really amazed how feeling so good has enabled me to keep eating right. No diet I've ever been on has done that, it was all about "being good" this is about feeling well, which, for me, is a much more powerful incentive!!

If you have medical issues (as I had) you only have to try the BTD (followed correctly as prescribed by Dr D) for a very short while before you become aware of just how right this way of eating is for each blood type. The first time I read the book everything just fell into place for me, too. It all just makes sense - it's so logical, and best of all, it works.

I want to thank you for this book which was introduced to me by my sister. I am A , and had a persisting nose and throat allergy, which has is no longer felt since I started following the blood type A  diet. I have eliminated beef, pork and fresh cow milk in my diet, what a relief.

I found Eat Right 4 Your Type several years ago.  I know Dr. D'Adamo's research is true, because I tried the diet, and I was able to experience a relief from stomach pain just by changing the foods I ate.  I am type A.
Thank you so much for the knowledge shared which has impacted my life in such a positive way.

O+ Gatherer here. Loads of vegetables, beans, fish, some occasional lean meat, turkey, and a low glycemic way of eating too. I have stopped all wheat, dairy- I'm 90% there- big improvement here- and I gave up all coffee, which was hard, but it was hurting my body in a lot of ways. I eat only gluten free grains now too- a lot of quinoa, amaranth, millet, brown basmati rice occasionally too. It is hard for me to keep my figure under control, but I feel great and I'm getting there slowly with out jumping around with yo-yo dieting.

My 1st contact with Eat Right.. was at the health food store, 2nd a friend told me how her husband with prostate cancer was contacted by a friend with the same telling him how with this diet the cancer was no longer detectable. The husband did not understand anything and pitched the book.
"The friend is alive and my husband is dead", said my friend. THAT MADE A BELIEVER OUT OF ME!
In one week I went from size 14 to size 6, a few months from 120 lbs to 108 lbs.
Back pain, an arched back, head aches, loss of breath, tiredness, etc all disappeared. The 24 hour/day taste of rotten food is gone too.
I pass this diet along to everyone I know. Thank you and God bless.

I lost 20 lbs in 3 weeks after starting this lifestyle. I'm still losing but now @ a reasonable rate...2 lbs a week. I've been soooo successful that I have people in my church getting the book & changing their lives....about 6 of us so far with more showing interest.

a friend told me about this. Immediately I bought the book and started the "diet" for type A-. I looooove this!!! It's so easy for me to do this! I'm feeling great only after being on it for about 5 days. My capri's are quite loose on me. I need a belt! I do not currently have a scale at my house to see if or how much weight I have lost, but the loose fitting capri's say enough! I am so grateful for her telling me about this. I love feeling good...FINALLY! I'm looking forward to seeing the continued positive changes as I progress!

This new lifestyle isn't JUST about weight loss for me. It's about getting my body healthy and letting everything else fall into place.
I wasn't going to step on a scale at all during this, but now that I'm noticing that I can't wear my favorite pair of capri's anymore due to them being too big, I did step on the scale today and I'm down 7 pounds in just 4 days!
I've also noticed that I'm craving healthy foods, certain ones at that. Today I had fruit (alot) but I didn't have any greens or any other kind of veggie.(not feeling well...allergies) Later in the day I CRAVED veggies. I listened to my body and ate some and I feel so good!

I have been suffering headaches every day for the past 20 years or so.
so I had my blood work done 3 weeks ago, and i am a B blood type
i downloaded the Blood group diet app for my IPhone and i have been following it quite well, and i must say that i have NOT had a headache in 3 weeks and counting, if it doesn't work for anything else, i don't care, I am headache free for the first time in years.

4 weeks and STILL No headache. my mum says it's a miracle, i starting to believe her

I would just like to say I was a skeptic. Having dieted all my life and then the last 1 and 1/2 years gaining 60 pounds. I tried the low fat, no carbs, eating 5 healthy meals, no bread, no this and no that. My gynecologist also put me on a estrogen-testosterone pill (had a full hysterectomy 5 years ago) due to my rapid weight gain. I have always been very active, but had lost my energy, and moody. My boss read the book and came to work talking about it. I thought to myself, yeah, another quick fix to just gain it all back. But then I noticed his moods changing, for the better, and his gut getting smaller. Then my snl told me she had lost 5 lbs in one week. So I bought the book and have been playing with it for two weeks and now for two weeks I have been abiding by the right foods. I have not weighed, but the first two weeks I went from a 38 to 36 bra. Thank you lord. And now my "big" gril pants are getting too big. Of course growing up in Texas and my family have being in the cattle industry, the limitation of beef is mentally a hard thing. But I have not craved a steak. Although talking about it is making my mouth water for a ribeye. haha. But I am excited to learn more and experiment.

testimonial: "I am currently a medical Technologist. I have always been curious since the moment I entered my field and started working on the blood bank, what were the effects of food on the blood. To my ignorance was the fact that many people had already asked this question before and studies had already been made. I started the diet and I must say SOOOOOOOOO very grateful I have placed it on my wall on facebook. Great Work!!! I think this is the future of health."

I've found the BTD corrected my thyroid problems when the meds didn't, though my doctors still refuse to believe that my thyroid healed itself without the use of medication even when my labs verify the results (silly doctors). Dr. D. wrote in the BT books that when Os follow the recommended diet, they'll naturally get enough iodine, which is needed to help regulate the thyroid. Chucking the carbs and adding in twenty minutes of walking twice a day almost instantly did the trick for me. I lost 30 pounds in two months the first time, and have had the same results this time around. The biggest thing is to listen to what your body is telling you it needs. We've been so conditioned to think that red meat is like the worst thing we could possibly eat, but if your body craves it, it's because it needs it. And for us Os, it's because it helps our thyroid.

And don't be afraid to stand your ground about your concerns with medication. Your doctor should be open to what you have to say about YOUR health. Medication should be the last resort in normal cases, not the first, used when all other approaches have failed and there's no other option left. Get second, or even third, opinions if you continue to have concerns, and if you feel that your doctor isn't listening to you and is forcing a course of treatment that you don't agree with, by all means: find another physician.

I think my doctor's statement last I was there is the best proof of this working. He said "I wish all my patients did what you did, then they would all have these perfect numbers with their blood checkup"

Your body is going to regulate what it needs to first - what is most urgent, in order to establish homeostasis. This may be in the form of healing the gut first, then the endocrine system, then when all that is good, the other stuff will follow. I've been doing this since January of 2011. I started SWAMI in December of 2011. I have not lost weight because of this plan per se yet. However, my allergies are gone and I've eliminated 8 medications. I haven't been to the doctor since December of 2011. I haven't had cavities. I haven't had insomnia, PMS, etc. the weight must be the final step. I am finally starting to notice my body change, but it is slow. And those white lines are going to take a long time to go away. TY

I recently took the saliva test and it came back telling me that I am an ABO se (non-secretor).
I am new at this and finally at peace with food allergies.  "Eat Right 4 Your Type" is my food bible now.  SMILE.

Thank you so much for this book.  It gave me peace more than you know.

I haven't been to the doctor since December of 2011. I haven't taken any pharmaceuticals since January of 2012. I have no GERD. I have no depression. I have no headaches. I have no atopy. I have no wheezing. I save $120 month in medications. And $200 roughly per year in doctors visits.

Before the dıet, I was takıng 6 myprodols a day just to maıntaın. There were tımes ı could no longer take days off work as ıt was lookıng bad, and I took up to 11 myprodols on those days just to keep my eyes open or keep my head up and not throw up from the paın. It sounds excessıve - but ıts 100percent true. These paınkıller doses were defınatly excessıve. Not a wıse decısıon at all! Im 38 and I was becoming a paın kıller junkıe and started to notıce my symptoms were very sımılar ıf not ıdentıcal to that, that my mom had years ago. I dont want to end up lıke my mom and started to worry when ı showed sımılar early symptoms of her aılements. Besıdes the blood and genotype dıet (whıch ı swear by) - somethıng was stıll problematıc wıth me. I stıll got migraınes. I decıded to run allergy tests to dıscover ım hıghly allergıc to daıry (ın all forms) - sugar - yeast and 48 other foods of whıch some were consıdered benefıcıal to me on the blood type and genotype dıets. Some of the foods were benefıcıal to my genotype - however my allergy test showed otherwıse. If I can make a suggestıon: Run an allergy test fırst. These here ın SAfrıca, test on about 290 odd food substances. Im not sure how thıngs are where you are based, however, ıts the BEST way to go about ıt. Then elımınate those allergıc trıggers and then stıck to your genotype - blood type dıet guıdelınes. I often trıed to test the theorıes and re-ıntroduced the foods that my blood tests saıd were allergy ıssues. I was man down ın mınutes after consumıng those foods. The migraıns set ın, ın a matter of mınutes. Once you clean up your dıet and re-ıntroduce the foods after a clean perıod, ıt becomes evıdent whıch foods do the harm. Even foods that were not allergıes but were consıdered avoıds on the genotype dıet, quıckly reared ıts ugly head and hurt my body or made me bloat and become sluggısh and ırrıtable. The blood and genotype dıets are ın my opınıon the way to go - however due to each of us all beıng ındıvıdual and dıfferent - ı would take ıt a step further and do an allergy test to elımınate allergen foods (as they mıght appear on your benefıcaıl lıst).
