" Dear Dr D'Adamo, I had been ill almost all my life with stomach problems and fatigue illnesses.  My doctors were treating the symptoms but not curing the problem!

I eventually realized that it was a food problem, so came across your site.. wow it was a revelation.. I am a healthy and happy 50 year old with the energy now of a 20 year old. I thank you from the bottom of my heart..

Thanks and kind regards  "

I would get very bloated, fatigued and pains in my lower back and knees. I told a friend of mine my symptoms and she suggested that I have Celiac disease. I came off wheat and flour products and noticed a reduction in the bloating. Not one for accepting a disease prognosis I did some reading and asking around...only to be asked by another friend "what is your blood type?"  I told her that it was O positive and she smiled and told me to go online and read Dr. D'Adamo's book. I was blown away to see the very same thing that caused Celiac disease...Happy to know that I just had a special blood type made me feel much better and am now eating very differently.. my waist size is slowly being reduced... I just need to up the exercise and get some more advise on the recipes/food that can make my diet more dynamic.. I live in Jamaica so fresh fruit, meat and vegetables are easy to come by.

Thanks Dr. D'Adamo!

So, I've been on the diet in one form or another for about a year. Started with BTD for B, then GTD as a Nomad, and now SWAMI since September when I also found out that I'm a non secretor, which now makes me a B+ nonnie GT2 Gatherer. Before this I had verged on being vegetarian for about 5 years and the only meat I ate was occasional chicken with some cheese and eggs and a good amount of soy. (Not good for a Type B, as I now know.) Back then I had my cholesterol checked and it was a very low, almost unhealthy total cholesterol of 109. I thought I was being "healthy" then. A year ago I went back to meat while trying to follow the BTD, omitting the chicken completely, and starting slowly at first with turkey and fresh fish, and slowly adding beef back into my diet. I now eat two hard boiled eggs for breakfast every morning, and other meat (beef, turkey or fish) with my other two meals. My cholesterol at my wellness check-up yesterday, was up to a whopping 146!!! The low side of the normal range is 140! I guess my body was missing the meat, as I feel much better now than I did then. Everybody is different, but the D'Adamo approach works best for me!!!

I thought I would jump in and share as well. I am BT O and a NS.. so I have to be more careful than the secretors do. I follow Dr Peter D'Adamo, who I have a lot of respect for.. the man is a "genius" and we ALL are fortunate to have a connection with him. I have had his book, Live Right 4 Your Type, for 10+ years. I follow the BTD 75-80 % of the time. I also take the BTD supplements and have been doing so consistently for the past 10-11 years. I have not been seen by a doctor for at least 12 or 13 years.. since my last physical exam. I very recently have found a woman doctor that I like a lot... I am picky about doctors, dentists, etc., and she and her doctor husband know of Dr Peter D'Adamo In fact, her husband knew Dr "D" in medical school I have passed my recent and thorough physical exam! I turned 62 on my last b-day. I feel good.. I am healthy! I am grateful to be alive Blessings to ALL ♥

I wanted to share my positive experience from eating for my blood type for well over 10 yrs. First off - NO ONE believes I'm the age I am. Everyone thinks I'm at least 10 to 15 yrs YOUNGER. I have great energy & I have never been on any meds for any reason. I rarely see a medical doctor for any problem because so far I have never had any. Most of my friends around my age (and younger) are on meds and have had various surgeries. My family had early heart issues, so far nothing in that department. Diabetes was also a family problem - mine is slightly above normal but I am control it by a great way to eat --the blood type diet. Thanks Dr. D'Adamo for writing your many books and much research.

Thank you, to Dr. D'Adamo, and all those involed in his research. I have seen a 100% improvment in my quality of life, thanks to your diet. As an AB-, Ive always had a finickey diet, but i never new why. Food was just gross! So my loving mother always had a side stash of pepperoni hot pockets, cheeseburgers, and macoroni and cheese for me. Looking back on what couldve been classified as IBS, Ive always saught to get myself proper nutrition with various diet guidelines, trying to find a plan that fit me and my overlysensitive stomach. Then, someone mentioned the blood type diet. I found on paper what my body was telling me all along. And it makes so much sense! Down to the personality traits, too! Its easy to adhear to this diet when you know how good your body can feel. So thanks again! Im off to save the world with my new super powers!

I am fascinated by Dr. D'Adamos' work and I must say, as much as we have incorporated it in my diet the results have been amazing - brain fog/morning sweats, mucus cough
GONE, mood swings better (pms is still an issue) weight loss was rapid 12 lbs the first month, not much since, I started this March. 26th of this year.

I have bought Eat Right for Your Type and have read it multiple times, trying to learn more with each read. Also I should add, I am 39 yrs. old, 40 in July. I have been reading about the genealogical types also, and am pretty sure I am a Warrior type, hoping we can soon get this test done soon also.

Any information you could provide would be most appreciated!!!

Thank you all so very much for your great work!

In 1999, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroiditis. It did affect my thyroid to a certain extent.

I exercise regularly and am on what I call an elimination "O" diet. I test "O" type foods for any bodily reaction and eliminate them based on negative factors.

I experience hypoglycemic reactions after eating certain foods (which I did not understand fully until I read the book mentioned above).

I wanted to learn more, so I am reading all about your findings online as well.

My next step is to purchase copies of your books, as the area of brain health and bodily nutrition are very important to me.

Also, 3 of my four boys have been diagnosed with Gifted/ADD and one with Gifted/ADHD. This is a genetic condition, however, diet can complicate it tremendously.

I have it as well, but can hyperfocus on things I love. So here I am!

Thanks for making sense of the obvious but overlooked simplicity of blood based diets.

Also, I recently read that there are other countries that use this blood type technique, and realize now that this is routine in their culture and it just makes so much sense.

Thanks for being a leader in America's health an wellness.

I bought your book about 6 years ago and it made more sense than anything else I have ever read about the human diet. I have lost about 25 pounds and continue to maintain my perfect weight.

I am so excited about this diet I can't help but tell people and they just don't seem to get it most of the time. I guess you have to be ready for major changes in your life before you look for something like this.

I am pleased to announce (after going back onto the BTD properly again) that I am back to the weight I was in my 20's and 30's. This proves that we don't have to just accept weight gain in our 40's and 50's. Am now feeling fitter and healthier than I have in years. Thankyou Dr D !!!!!!

a quick testimony. I have agoraphobia (some of you may know that I am fearful away from my home). So this past December I found a lump in my already cystic breasts. I have not yet gone to have it checked BUT....since I started this diet a month ago the lump has shrunk and my anxiety is getting better. I took a test drive today to the place where I am getting my mammogram done. I made it all the way there ^5. I am really happy about all of this !!!!!

I m doing great with my weight loss, i was 200lbs 19 weeks ago and now down to 153. I have changed my diet completely with how much i eat and what i eat(started BTD 19 weeks ago) & walking almost everyday. I cut out breads, salt & fat, i eat meats & veggies for my BTD. I have Lyme and it mostly affected my knees, high blood pressure now is perfect and the top arches of my feet don't hurt, they used to feel like someone dropped a huge rock on them. I have had 6 children their ages are 19 down to 5 and I m 38 and i actually feel better now than i did when i was 20. The BTD does work!

I tend to think some of the hormone discussions in the media are a bit exaggerated. Even many organic meats/eggs contain significant amounts of naturally occurring hormones. However, I think type A's do best with soy products and less so other blood types. I've had infertility problems all my married life and less than consistent cycles. But as soon as I started eating right for my type and eventually converting over to the genotype diet my cycles have usually been very predictable (except for one time when I was traveling for almost 2 weeks and not always eating right it got thrown out of whack). Just following your correct diet plan should help a lot.

Hi, Firstly, I would like to say how fantastic the blood type diet has been for my rheumatoid arthritis! I declined taking the disease modifying drugs when I had my diagnosis 3&1/2 years ago and spent the time trying all sorts of dietary changes, utterly convinced that diet was the key. I had the blood type diet book in my cupboard for years, loved the concept, but didn't want to give up all the healthy foods on my avoid list! Once I did, all the pain disappeared and I have been really well ever since, and have recently set up a support network for people looking to manage the condition more naturally, helping to encourage them to educate themselves about how food can help them and have directed them to the diet. I got the Arthritis book too and have been following the supplement protocol
as well as the Complete Blood Type Encyclopaedia and have been looking at menopause protocol. TY!

Dear Dr. D'Adamo,
I am a Brazilian woman, type blood O and two weeks ago I bought your book Eat Right for Your Type.
I decided to follow your diet, and even though I've been vegetarian for over 20 years, I've included the recommended fishes in my daily menu and cut off milk and dairy products. It is amazing but I felt the results in the first week! Today it's been two weeks and my husband and friends have noticed the difference in my body shape! But the most important, which is the main reason that lead me to your book is that I was suffering from bronchitis, asthma and allergies  and today I'm feeling much better!!
I want to keep on with this positive change. There are so many other Brazilian people following your Blood Type Diet.
Thank you very much for your breakthrough.
Greetings from Brazil!
