Dear Mr. D'Adamo,

More then 2 years ago I bought your book about the blood type diet. Since then I am living and eat mostly according the recommendations of this diet. And I benefit from it – in terms of good effects for my overall well being, my health and last but not least – my weight. Thank you!

I very appreciate your diet and as a fan I recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

I couldn't believe the difference before & after "wheat" . Not just in big hurts but in Plumbing( no more IBS symptoms) and skin ( no more evil "blind, Killer zits that I picked any way 'cause they hurt). A work colleague asked how could I be looking younger every day...well not moving like an old lady and not spending every waking minute in pain seems to be showing on my face. By trying this life plan, all you have to lose is pain( and a bunch of fat but that's just a perk!)

Dear Dr. D'Adamo

I recently returned from a 14 day Habitat for Humanity volunteer trip to El Salvador with 12 other volunteers of various ages. At 68 I was the oldest. We were warned to bring medications for various digestive maladies while there. I have been taking your Type O Polyflora probiotics for several months. I am elated to tell you that I was the only member of the group that did not get sick with diarrhea or  vomiting. I most definitely credit your probiotics for this and thank you for this and all your other great products.

I have been doing the blood type A diet for over a year.. I lost 15 pounds in over a 3 week period… My blood pressure went down and the Dr. took it a second time… I explained I starting reading all the Dr. D’Adamos books on eating right for your blood type.. I have gone off and felt horrible.. I am back on the diet plan and I am determined to make this a lifelong goal.. Basically for years I ate very much similar to the diet for type A. I always felt blah after eating red meat.. took a while to digest…Always loved salads, fruit , veggies and grains… I learned more about eating right with the many books by Dr. D’adamo.. The main thing I changed was that I drink soymilk now.. I was a big milk drinker all my life…But I love the soymilk with molasses.. I go to a thai restaurant and enjoy ordering brown rice and steamed vegatables with soy… I am so excited about the new cookbooks…A few friends of mine have just started this diet.. One person called me the other day and said she actually felt full after eating this way… She was a sceptic for one year.. She wasn’t feeling well so she started the diet… I believe this work by Dr.D’Adamo is like finding a pearl . It is very valueable information that I believe would help many people suffering with illnesses. Thank you Dr.D’Adamo . Thank you Kristin O’Connor for this new recipe book.. P.S. I had purchased the little pocket guide for many people at the Drs.Clinic where I have my check ups… They are great gifts.. Just recently I gave two books to a Dr. to look at.. I believe he will be blessed… God Bless you for blessing so many with your time and knowledge . We reap the benefits!..

I like the fact that there is a date on the testimonial that Andrea posted.  I think it helps to have a reference of the time period these testimonials were submitted.  Since the BTD has changed a bit since the original book came out.  It also helps when someone states " I started the diet in April", Well if we don't know the date they submitted the testimonial we have no reference to the time period that they've been on the diet.

This is just a suggestion.

Another TY note just came in: "Dear Dr. D'dadamo
This is a sincere thank you. I am from Ireland and I recently started your diet for blood type A. It is absolutely phenomenal. I have lost over 1 stone in a month but more than that, I feel amazing. I am 45 years old and a mother of 2 grownup children and had settled for the usual weight gain and general ill health that comes with it and it is only now I realize how bad I actually felt. I now have a new lease of life, and can't believe how amazing I feel. I will never go back to eating the way I did, because I have had a whole new world of food opened up to me.

Thank you so, so much
Yours faithfully"

"To whom it may concern,
I have been on the blood type diet for about a year now and the results are amazing. It has completely transformed my life. I began with just eliminating a few foods, now I am trying to follow it at about an 80% rate. I have lost 50 pounds and I feel great. I am a huge advocate of the plan, and recommend it to everyone that I come in contact with. I want to be a spokesperson for this amazing lifestyle. Is there any way I can send pictures of before and after, or talk to someone about it. I am a 35 year old man that went from 245 to 190 lbs in a very healthy way. I just want to be involved in some shape or form, and remember Jarrod from the subway commercials, you need a face for this diet. Thanks"

Thanks for the clarification Lola!

So from my understanding all the testimonials are submitted on or close to the time you post them here?.

I'm not on the BTD to lose weight. In fact, this is not a "diet" for me but rather, a way of eating so I can be healthy. If I lose weight while eating this way, then that is a bonus. How could I deny a way of eating when I felt undeniable results within the first 12 hours? When I ditch the plan, I feel like c**p. When I stick to the plan, I feel like a champ. Some may see it as a hoax...for me, this is no hoax...this is a way of life!

It can be confusing with all that's out there but I can say for me it worked in 2010 I set out on a journey to get healthy I was over .235 lbs.in less than 1 yr I lost 85 lbs and have maintained my weightloss to this day. If eating clean foods, minimal preservatives and fresh real food is bad for us then I don't know what could be better my story is on my blog... 'successfuleatingwithsandra'

You have to understand that the medical & pharmaceutical companies make their money from us being sick! The BTD basically takes money out of their pockets because everyone on the BTD hardly ever goes to the DR or needs chemical meds. It works wonderfully and I have never felt so great!

Hello,
We heard about the blood type diet from a friend of ours. While we have always enjoyed a " Mediterranean" type of life style and eating habits this diet seemed to be attractive so we have been following the type"O" for the last 3 months. Lo and behold, our latest blood/urine work results showed marked improvements; our Doctor confirms that: "whatever you are doing , keep on doing it!".
The most surprising fact about this diet is that I have had a liking of food that is recommended and mostly a dislike or no interest at all of food to avoid. This a major aspect why it is so easy to follow. Avoiding potatoes, white wine, bread/cereals (or all flour), dairy products (except the odd Camembert cheese and parmigiano) and others has been a cinch and we will keep on doing this. There is not one food I have trouble getting rid of.
Like the Doctor said: keep on truckin'...

I have been on BTD for over ten years. I started the BTD at 265 lbs. BUT that is not why I started it. I was one sick girl, I hadn't left the house for 2 yearsiverticulitis, fibromyalgia, migraines, colitis my cholesterol was 325 etc. I was on so much medication. One day someone gave me the book..and so the journey began. I LIVED on the forum, without them the first 3 weeks I would have killed myself from withdrawals....gradually I started feeling better...when I got to the 3 month period, I thought this has to be c**p! so I stopped within 3 weeks I was right back were I started..we back and never looked back! With in 1 1/2 years I was a new person I lost 150 lbs. (not trying), was off all my meds. , I VERY seldom have a migraine and if I do it's my own fault. IF this is a myth, then I am a monkeys uncle. Perhaps medical science (and I am an RN) doesn't want to admit that medicine doesn't fix everything. Go slow...I went cold turkey and like i said it almost killed me, take worse offensives out of your diet first. then keep going. I suggest you join the "community" on the website. there is lots of help there.please don't think it is always easy and I haven't fallen off the wagon a few times...but ever time I do it's a reminder for me of where I came from. Please please do this for yourself.. no matter how may people demand "you"..let this be a year of taking care of your temple. the medications for diabetes like Metformin and all the others are so toxic!! they do far more damage to your body than you can think of..you can do it! I truly am not any different...just a person who was sick and tired of being sick and tired!

Quite a testament to the Blood Type Diet; one of our documentary subjects, Marley (Type A), can't eat wheat or corn, and loves bananas, coconut, mangoes, and peppers. Just found out today that she's a non-secretor! D'Adamo, you amaze us all

Dear, Dr. Peter
I have had your book for years and have lived by it. Out of all the studies I have done on health and staying healthy yours is what I live by....and my whole family...when we were ill and had problems they all changed for the good following your book...I got my husbands cholesterol down in one year and the Drs even asked him: "how did you do it?"...he said: 'my wife'...he was at 300...no pills he is down now. It truly is like a car our bodies...we have to put the right fuel in to function properly. I am so thankful for your study and your blood type book and I just wanted to let you know it has made such a difference in my life and my kids and husbands life....I believe in it 150%. Thank you so much

Dear Dr. D'Adamo:

Most grateful to you. I'm AB  and know myself much better now. You've made an amazing impact on my mom's recovery from stroke, diabetes and kidney disease; she's A.
I am a Baha'i and my faith states that the "food of the future is fruits and grains" and that diseases can be cured by means of foods!

I wish to thank you for your book Eat Right for your Type. I am Blood Group B and already I am finding that I do not have the hunger cravings I used to have. The tonsil stones i was plagued with have almost ceased. (My GP nor a Hospital Consultant could help me with these...apart from telling me to have a tonsillectomy).

My blood sugar levels are beginning to stabilize ...a real problem for someone with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

What this diet has also invited me to do is to get back to basics and cut out all the rubbish convenience foods. I do have more energy but have not begun to loose any significant weight yet.

I am learning to live without chicken, tomatoes and lentils which were stock favorites...

I am probably a Nomad of the secretor type re the Genotype.

With Gratitude
