Another place you Dr. D'Adamo deserve recognition is for this 'posting board' - maybe one of the oldest of such interconnected places to educate, share and support - where you and old timers here create a safe place for each newbie person to learn about the fine nuances of what in short is called BTD !

BTD type of living - the Queen of personalized diets supporting your current health,
Geno type eating -  the King in ability to influence your future health,
Swami type educating - the Emperor of a computer project, a work in progress creating individualized body & cell health.

Yes!  Dr D... Indeed..

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

.....a garland for Dr. D that is created from our expressions of gratitude to him.  I suggest that we write these posts addressed to him, instead of about him.  I know that we have all shared stories of how our lives have been improved because of him.  These beautiful posts are scattered throughout the Forum, and I know Dr. D has missed reading a lot of them because he can't possibly read every post that we write.  He is too busy doing the wonderful things that we are grateful for!

Hi Sir,
I stumbled upon your book a few days a go only and you have touched I think something great .
I have been trying all kinds of cures without success ; my problem is that my lymph nodes are as it were stuck in kinda glue and I ve always been frustrated not being able to rid of that stuff .
At the reading of the intro in your book dealing with AB blood types ( that is mine ) I could discover this mention of glue ; as far as i am concerned, this glue was directed towards my nodes a long time ago ( I had it already as a kid and I m now 42 ) and even lymphatic drainage was of no effect .
I have thus started to follow your feeding recommendations in your booklet but I feel it is probable i am now on the right track .
I have always wondered how it was possible for a plethora of writers, authors and the like to publish books about the would-be optimal diet without taking parameters specific to individuals into account .
My particularity is i am a bodybuilder and this glue in the same time ¨pulls¨¨ the fascia in the immediate neighborhood which creates a feeling of compression . Not too long ago, I noticed the muscles in my case that are problematical in terms of development are exactly the ones located near the lymph nodes .
This blockage consequently alters and impedes the circulation and of course my digestion is absolutely awful ( sometimes flatulence for 2 hours ).
Anyway, it was a pleasure to chance upon your book and I hope you will read these few lines. It is still a bit too early now to talk about results but I will keep you informed .
In the meantime,I wish you a very happy new year .
Thanx .

I have never felt better!! And after years of Drs telling me to eat more fiber (which consisted of wheat) my stomach issues are gone!!!!! I just wish I knew about this 50 years ago! Oh well I still have 50 to go!!!!! Thanks to you!!"

My goodness, I love the Geno Type Book!  Had a hard time with the leg measurements, hope I did it right.  I am an Explorer with O positive blood and I'm not left handed.  However, do I totally disregard all I have practiced over the years with your BTD book???  I am a huge advocate of your book and have helped many people get on board with the diet.  I am a non-secretor as well so the Explorer is good for me.  I really want to get started with this GTD....and like the idea of eating some of the things that were an AVOID before.  Does this diet over ride the BTD and I should just start from here and let go of the old and start new.  Even with the vitamins?  God bless you Dr. D'Adamo, you're doing an outstanding job for this world.  I will be happy to share all my experience with people as I did with the BTD because I believe in your work.  Thank you for your time.

I actually had followed this diet loosely nearly 10 years ago and had lowered my cholesterol by about 50 points in 3 months. I followed it for a while and then got away from it for whatever reason and pretty much forgot about it. Recently, my cholesterol is up again and I decided to lose some weight this year as well. I started following it loosely about a week ago and have surprisingly already lost about 4 pounds. I am very excited. I think this is exactly what I need.

My youngest was very sick... at her worst point she was on 8 prescription meds and one of them was formula. Within 6 months of eating right she no longer needed her meds and started gaining weight. She is living proof that this works!

I am a 45 year old male, blood type A (don't know if I am secretor or non-secretor).
I was interested in the blood type diet many years ago and only incorporated a few parts for a few months and then was distracted and did not continue.
I've been slightly overweight for many years, with up and down bouts in weight control and energy levels, etc., indigestion, acid reflux, joint pain, back pain, colds and sinus infections a few times a year, low or fluctuating energy levels; but no major health issues. I should add that I had tried to eat more healthy in recent years, by avoiding fried foods or high fat foods and fast foods; but I didn't see a lot of changes, and in fact I slowly gained weight.  I would try to get my weight down to about 180-185. but it always crept up to 190-195. And it didn't seem to matter what I ate under the previous diet regime, I couldn't control my weight or quicken my metabolism without exercise.
Last year, I went for an annual physical and the blood work showed an elevated cholesterol level (both parents are on cholesterol and blood pressure medicine, so I have a history to battle with).
My values were LDL 156, HDl 49, Triglycerides 143, total Cholesterol 234. The blood work was done in early February 2011.  My weight was about 203 lbs, and I am about 5'9.
I was put on a statin medication to lower the cholesterol, but I had a reaction to the medication that was unpleasant.  The doctor couldn't explain it, but it was clearly from the medication.  Rather than try a different medication, I opted to try changing my diet and increasing exercise to take some weight off.
As of March 2011, I began the blood type diet and slowly eased my way into it over the course of a few weeks.  By summer I was basically focusing on just beneficial and neutral foods, and more or less avoiding the avoid foods.  While it was not entirely simple at first, it grew increasingly easier over time, especially with the support of my wife, who is also a type A.  While she didn't follow the diet as strictly as I did (her cholesterol was elevated as well), she also ate along with me and changed her diet somewhat as per the Blood Type diet for Type A.
I began swimming about 3-5 times a week to complement this change in diet, and I tried to work toward a caloric intake of about 2400 calories per day when I was exercising and about 2000 per day when I wasn't.
When I went for my annual physical this past week (about 11 months after the last physical and blood work), the doctor remarked about the amazing change that was done without medication.
Not only has my body leveled out at about 166-168 lbs for the past few months, but my energy levels are amazing, I can sleep comfortable without back pain or other pains, I hadn't been sick in any way since last MArch until this Christmas when I got a upper respiratory cold that was going around; I have no more indigestion, no more acid reflux, and no more joint pains.  I feel like I am in my 20s again.  I should add that a new job has kept me away from exercise for the past 4-5 months, but that I am starting up again now this month.  Despite the lack of exercise, my metabolism seems to continue at its current great rate and I've had no noticeable change in my weight or other areas of my health.
The thing that I was most concerned about, my cholesterol, showed a tremendous improvement.
You will recall what my blood work showed in February 2011 from above.
In January 2012, my LDL had dropped to 116, my HDL was slightly up to 51, my Triglycerides were down to 83, and my total cholesterol was down to 183.
I feel great; I feel the blood type diet isn't really a diet anymore.  for the past several months it just became a part of my lifestyle, and I feel so great that I have no cravings for the avoid foods that I used to want to eat.  I also don't overeat, because I feel satisfied from all the whole foods that I eat from the beneficial and neutral lists as a part of my diet in the appropriate quantities.
I attribute my success to the blood type diet, and I wanted to let you know and thank you for your ongoing work.
I have the the Eat Right 4 Your type book, and I received the Cook right 4 your type book for Christmas.  I have the IPhone App and refer to it from time to time for a few of the foods that I have not yet committed to memory or when I am shopping.
Thanks again!

I am so glad that I read your book and found out about this way of eating.  I have been bothered by heartburn and stomach problems for a long time and since I have been following the foods that you have suggested in your book, I have not experienced any of the symptoms and have lost 14.5 pounds effortlessly.

I have also purchased the cook book and make many of recipes and find them very tasty and satisfying.  One thing I have found, is that I am not constantly "grazing".  It has opened up a wider variety of foods that I otherwise wouldn't have tried.

Thank you for all your work.

When this is done 80% of the time (or more), the results are amAzing. It is most beneficial if the exercise program is partnered with the change of eating habits. Remember, this is a healthy way 'diet' not a weight loss diet but the weight loss is an added benefit.

Dr. D'Adamo work on Blood Type change my life in a huge way.  I was so ill 4 years ago I didn't think I was going to live much longer.

The impact of his work led me to find a career in the holistic nutritional field. As a result I am a student at the Institute of Integrated Nutrition in New York, for certification as a holistic health coach. As I study all the dietary theories I know that for the most part those theories are not working for everyone because they simply are not considering blood type.  After I become certified I want to further expand my knowledge base in the blood type diets.
Are there any classes or certifications that one can obtain in the Blood Type Diet?
Thank you so much Dr. D'Adamo you work save my life.

Warm Wishes...

have been following the A+ for about 7 weeks...feel amazing, no more bloating and have lost about 1 1/2 stone!!!! I have more energy and everyone is now wanting to know what I've been doing...i'm spreading the word about the blood group diet !!!what i love about this is there is no weighing/measuring/points counting etc as there is with all the other diets i've done over the years. i have to say i'm never hungry, my shape has totally changed from being pear shape to not ! I did have a specific reason to try and lose weight...my son is getting married in March and I had ordered a dress over the internet and when it arrived it didn't fit...the zip wouldn't go up the last 5" and i was devastated, I tried it on last week and it went up with ease and is now a little too big!!! Tears of joy that day...good luck with it and do stick to it...you will be surprised how quickly you see results..measure yourself at the start because the inches literally drop off you

We would like to just write a quick note to you to express our gratitude.  We found out this book about 2 years ago.  We tried to adhere to it but unfortunately did not succeed.  My husband is O and I am an A.  We had just had our first child and found it too overwhelming - the shopping, the food prep etc.  2/3 years had gone by and my husband was just not feeling "right".  His joints ached, we were both unhappy with our physical selves etc.  He decided to revisit the book and we have not turned back.  Something just clicked.  I find life is just so much easier now.  Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you.  The lifestyle change has been a wonderful experience!

Dr. D you gave me excellent knowledge, i just need to use it and stop using caffeine (explorer gt)!!  You gave nme the tools, but i fall short using them.  I had stopped caffeine for awhile and felt incredible.  You nailed me  precisly with the genotype diet.  There is so much conflicting stuff out there.  Thank you.

FWIW i know fibromyalgia can be resolved by following the BTD/GTD. I struggled with it for years, within a few weeks of switching (and being compliant) my fibromyalgia improved dramatically (90%). I have had zero symptoms now for over a year.

Good Morning Blood Type O Friends. It has been two weeks since I have been on this new way of eating and living. I have not only lost 5 pounds, but mainly my tummy troubles have just about gone. I really do feel great. I use to want to eat all the time, but now I am not really hungry. I started drinking seltzer water too which I now love. A twist of lemon does it really good. These results are amazing!

Thank you for this information and group. I am Blood Type O and feel 100% better now that I know why certain foods make me feel so terrible. I look forward to a lifestyle of feeling better by eating right for me.
