I learned about Eat Right from my Natural Path when I was feeling absolutely helpless about my sons health issues.  I had taken him to get his booster shots prior to Kindergarten (feared into it).  He has never been the same. But through the A type diet, he is no longer having the issues he was.  He went from lights out to hardly ever getting sick! He detoxed from the diet and it was scary for me! He had a thick white hair like coating on his tongue, high fevers, sweating for almost 3 weeks.  He was 5 then and now he is a wild 8 year old doing great.  We know what we need to do if we see signals that he's eaten something not on the beneficial or neutral list It has changed all our lives...now I use it for my second son he is 3, no shots and is an AB.  I am just now looking into your supplements and I thank you whole heartedly for your research and help for all of our types!!

Hello - I just wanted to Sincerely Thank you for giving me the knowledge to "Eat Right for My Blood Type".  I have lost 23 pounds in less than 10 weeks and I feel Fabulous!!  Everyone is asking how I lost so much weight so fast and I'm telling them all about this!

I initially tell them that it is not a "diet", it's a way of life and to me, it completely makes sense.

I just wanted to express my appreciation and let you know how this has changed my eating habits for the better.  I will remain eating this way for the rest of my life because I know it's healthy for me and I feel confident that the weight will stay off!

Sincerely,

Sharon

I am going to be opening my own website soon. This will be an infoprenure site where I will be sharing my personal battle of dealing with Rheumatoid Arthritis as week as eating for my blood type.  Less than a year after getting this disease I was introduced to following your blood type diet. I will definitely be referring my readers to your website and encouraging them to purchase your books to follow this health plan for themselves.  I would also like to send a personal "Thank you" for sharing your knowledge of this to the public.  This has totally changed my life to the better.

I had been waiting for this moment for a few months ... You have heard me say before: it will soon be a year,  ... I had been here almost a year ... and so on and on my posts went on, until now ...  now the time is here!!! One year old!!!

No wonder I have been feeling so good!! Even though I have been moving through different Geno Type plans during that time.  (Teacher, Warrior, Teacher and now Explorer), this way of life has kept me away from the big damaging food items and healed my system in such a way that encouraged me to stick around and progress in this journey of discovery!!! It showed me how to manage stress and understand the signals from my body well enough to act quickly and promptly applying the knowledge gathered through the literature and information published in this website.

It fixed my elevated liver enzymes and B12 deficiency, my cholesterol and tendency for my weight to yo-yo as a result of crash diets and eating avoids.  Within 3 months my lab results were good enough to impress my doctor, had not only lost weight in the  double digits, but most importantly, had arrested the tendency of putting it all back on soon after. Although recently experiencing a plateau for about 6 months, even though I had been very compliant, unlike plateaus experienced with other crashed diets, this one has allowed me to keep on eating as much as I needed, not worrying too much about the amounts and frequencies.  Over time the hungry pangs became less and less while the internal healing was taking place and the portions sorted themselves up.

And now, the plateau is breaking, the weight is moving down again, the tape measure has shorten up a few centimetres and I am on a roll!!! Enjoying my lifestyle with boundless energy, restful night sleeps and living a secured balanced lifestyle appropriate for my type under the guidance of Dr D!!!

Thank you for this forum that opened up its pages to accept me as a member a year ago and allowed me to record my journey, step by step, all through this year in a couple of threads ... it is all there ... a testimony of my steady journey in this path.

Thank you for your research and sharing it with us, thank you for your humanitarian caring traits that feed that genius spark that produced the BTD, GTD, SwamiX and all the ones to come ... soon to see masterpieces ...aiming to heal humanity!!   We are blessed to be here enjoying your work...

This is not a diet, it is a lifestyle that lead us to find our true self, it is not a speed race, although there is room to move very fast and very slow, it is a journey of healing, even when we think we do not need any healing, this lifestyle is taking care of that,  very clever Dr D!!! Thank YOU!!!

I have just recently looked at the diet reccommenddedd by someone advertising the list of foods for diabetes.. What a crime it would be IF I was one of those unfortunate people who eat two slices of bread morning and a cup of juice, noon and night and then have to take meds to counter all that..

I am still uncertain about all the right answers/stuff that went in the editors trash, like does it help to eat very few sweets or should one only eat those that are low in sugar carbs and very few of them?  The books don't talk about carbs much compared to calories.  I eat many more calorie dense food then anyone I know, and I might need to adjust that- yet when I don't eat that way, then I seem to add more sugar of one sort or the other.  Even a few small chunks of pineapples will add up..

BUT little by little I will 'get it' whatever that is. I started as early as 1967 by eating meat over other things and I made the trip through LOW carbs to Atkins then to BTD and I am certain OF ONE THING.. without that instinctual way of eating, I saved myself from many years of suffering diabetes results I still have avoided to this day.

But my numbers are high enough so that I finally have to deal with it and I still have many questions.  I just re-read the carb counter book of 1977 and again can see how the BTD is on target by so many miles ahead of anyone else.. (why oh why are the 'others' allowed to post such misleading stuff on the net with 'official' sanction?? )

Even reading your Dad's book gave me the one sentence that: bananas are for once in a blue moon. How right, yet diabetics are told to eat banana every day just to make up for the pills that deplete their normal fluid functions.. My thanks to him also..

To you all the best and so many thanks for NAP as well.. a world of difference..

I just registered for this site about 15 minutes ago.  I was diagnosed in May 2010 with Celiac Disease via a blood test and an endoscopy.  Went to my doc with stomach/chest pains and stinky gas (sorry folks!).  I really had none of the usual symptoms which are diarrhea and/or vomiting.  I'm Type 1 diabetic too (insulin shots) and I understand they are prone to celiac.

Anyway, I've been working pretty hard to get gluten out of my diet, and read labels to be sure there's no hidden gluten (and there's a lot of it...even in cosmetics!).  The process is slow and I must be diligent...difficult for me because I like to give up easily out of sheer exhaustion or brain overload (one of the many symptoms of celiac).  Even though I'm off gluten (as far as I know) I'm now experiencing symptoms that haven't really been there before.  So that makes me wonder about other food allergies and if they can mimic the fatigue, anxiety, sadness, acid stomach and inside of mouth burning, blah blah blah.

I went to a dietition and she said to check out the BTD.  Interesting I had the book about 8 years ago, even found out if I was a secretor or nor...but I don't remember my blood type nor whether I'm a secretor or non-secretor...damn!  Looks like I have to start all over again.

So, until I get tested again, I just guessed I was Type O...the most common, just for starters (I remember being disappointed because I wasn't "special") but then thinking maybe I'm a Type A.  The BIG difference for me is that one of them  (is it Type O?) suggests I should be drawn to high impact exercising...NOT!!!!  I'm more of a yogi than anything...tho I'm too tired to do that now.

So, I guess what I'm trying to share or ask is:  If I'm off gluten...been very careful...do some of these other symptoms resemble other food allergies that the BTD might help?????

Thanks!

P.S.  If anyone needs to talk about Celiac, you're welcome to private message me.  Since I just joined site, i'm not sure when this can be done...or even when this post will show up in the forums.

Just to say... really enjoying following this plan (I'm Type A). Am feeling really good. Also, as an aside, I have lost the last bit of pregnancy weight (had my baby 3 months ago and had a few stubborn pounds to go) without even trying! I can't recommend this plan enough, and the support (from website and this page) is excellent. Thank you!

I have never understood, why some people claim that blood type diet has not enough scientific basis, or it were a fad diet. What I have read, I think ND. D'Adamo has researched this already before the publication of the first book "Eat right 4 your type" in 1996 and still continues his research and now not even alone. I have followed the blood type diet over a year and got good results despite the fact that I HAVE NOT followed it with 100% adherence, because I have mixed the blood type diet for type O, genotype diet for hunter, and also a bit low carb diet.
I almost believe, that without D'Adamo's blood type diet, I still might be a fat diabetes patient BMI over 30 when it is now between 25 and 27. Before I had a BMI about 38, so I am very happy to have found the blood type diet. I try to eat the beneficial and superbeneficial foods and avoid the avoids, even if it is not always possible as far as I DO NOT comsume the avoids on reglular basis everyday.

I had to experience it to believe it: I've been taking the Fucus Plus supplement for almost 45 days now, and I've lost almost 15 pounds!! This has never happened to me before...I've loosely been using the O bloodtype eating suggestions, which has also contributed to my success. Thanks, Dr. D'Adamo!!
Yes, I have another 15 lbs that would put me at my ideal weight...there's no stopping now!  Thanks for your encouragement!

Hi Doctor Adamo -
I am very happy and enthusiastic to have found your website and all of your teories, and if I think that I have your book and bearly read, "Eat right for your type" since almost 5 years probably...., I don't know what to say.
I am studing your book, and now I will all of your website. I have a degree in Biology back from Italy, my country, where I was a Laboratory technician. You are my eroe, you are a genius, just like for "Bob" his psychiatrist, and baby step book, in "What about Bob", but don't worry I am not crazy like him! I do like and am fascinated from this type of personalities, and this is why I love watching movies like, this, or Rain Man(my prefered), or like now I am a pretty fan of the TV serial "Monk", and developing my obsessive compulsive disorder for hygiene and order even more!
I just read about my type, the type A, and ordered the basic pack; you have centered my type and personality, so it is true about this. I must to believe, and will make to believe all of the people that surround me. I am also so anxious to tell to my naturopatic who was trying to suggesting me, an italian , to avoid the wheat because of somewhat high level of gliadin antibody IgG, but still inside negative values. I understand now reading the book and the selection for blood type in the different of beneficial or to avoid food, but still I do not want to believe this. I am willing to understand that I must avoid animal protein, and of course to reduce my intake of bread and pasta, but I cannot live without!
Excuse me me if I have been so invadent and so long, who knows if you ever can read these messages, and forgive my excitement, but it's quite time that I am having all of the sort of problems, and I am so tired and exhausted being in the menopausa period too.
I can wait to start with your products and to try to follow my right diet type.
Very nice to meet you!

Greetings!

I am Type O, living in California and last Friday 08/27/10 diagnosed with some form of lupus (per my physician, "levels are off the chart high!") and no known symptoms.  Discovered ER4YT Book ten years ago and immediately committed to change my diet and have experienced tremendous improvement. No more rashes on nose, ears, fingers and scalp.  No more profuse sweating, shortness of breathe, coughing, sneezing, constipation and the list goes on.

Prior to ER4YT info for more than 20 years took alfalfa tabs and ate the raw stuff.

I truly believe that this dis-order appearing in my blood can be naturally corrected.
Thank you.

I was put on bifosphosonates for osteoporosis at 42 and I read enough to stop soon the treatment. There is no data on long term treatment and it makes the bones harder but not elastic so you can broke them with a bad fall however . With BTD at 49 my bones are elastic for vit C and adaptogens and I can fall without fractures 7 year later. As  my ovaries do not function since birth this is great empowering for me, to get a diet with plenty of calcium and  vit C and a gut to absorb it (and I am celiac) !  Bravo a thousand times Dr, D'Adamo !
