I started the BTD for health reasons..but started getting on the scale and was amazed. I have been on BTD for atleast 8 years and have lost 150lbs. What I found was it was a steady loss. It took me 2 years and in that time because I was losing at at a steady rate, I had MUCH less skin. not even enough for surgery. I could have ofcourse for my stomach due to C-sections before the weightloss, but BTD has a wonderful way taking care of that. Remember truly BTD is about health, the rest will take care of itself.

I have just been told about Oil Pulling. I am AB blood group and the two oils recommended are to be avoided on the AB diet plan.

I do want to thank you for the diet it has helped me recover from cancer and also with bowel problems.

It's really clear to me the longer I'm involved with this and since getting my genotype that Dr. D'Adamo is The One.  There really isn't anyone else in the health/science world who is able to explain what to eat and why.  It's kind of amazing really.

The best comment that I have received lately came from a medical doctor who looked at my chart & told me that I "forgot" to list the meds that I was taking.  When I told her that I was not taking any, she was amazed saying that most of her patients who are my age (72) already have a list of perscription meds that they are taking.  She asked me how I stay so healthy, I told her about you, Dr. D,  & she said that she was going to definitely look you up on the web.  I was in for a bladder infection that I was able to completely clear up by myself at home over the holiday weekend by drinking plenty of water & drinking unsweetened cranberry juice.  I just wanted the M.D. to confirm that I had cleared up the infection & she did just that...I'm totally free of any infection.  Dr. D, I thank you everyday for the great health that I am experiencing...Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

dear dr. D'Adamo,

I was given a food table by my GP (a list of foods to eat depending on blood type) and found the foods that i ate for my type, worked wonders and now i feel like a different person.

I love the concept and seems to have worked very well for me.
Thank You

Dear Dr. D'Adamo

Thank you very much for making this website. I am a mother of three children, and I have been suffering with stomach problems for over five years. In over the past five years Ive had multiple surgeries to help with my stomach problems that I feel now may have not been necessary. After reading this information I feel hopeful that maybe with a change of diet and exercise it can be better for me. I am AB positive. After reading this it described almost everything I have dealt with. Once again thank you very much.

I'm very late to the meeting, but better late than never. My apologies.

Dr. D'Adamo:

'One measures a circle beginning anywhere' . . .

Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything you've given me.

At the top of the list is a longer life. I'm healthier, happier, and in better shape now at 52 than I was at the age of 20.

Because of your hard work and devotion to finding the truth ('But Truth is that besides which there is nothing: nothing to modify it, nothing to question it, nothing to form an exception: the all-inclusive, the complete — By Truth, I mean the Universal'), I love what I eat, and what I eat is delicious, nourishing, nutritious, and life-affirming. Instead of living to eat, I eat to live, and give thanks for every mouthful. My fare is very simple but I eat better than the wealthiest gourmand, because everything I eat helps make me whole and healthy. That is due directly to your wisdom, and I thank you.

Through the lessons I've learned by living this way for years, I've come to see that dis-ease and healing crises are gifts in insight and wisdom ('The fate of all explanation is to close one door only to have another fly wide open'). That's a powerful gift you've given me, and I thank you with all my heart.

Thank you for your willingness to explore your own conclusions and update your data as you continue your work. Your models are not static but living and evolving as new information comes in. ('I conceive of nothing, in religion, science, or philosophy, that is more than the proper thing to wear, for a while.')

I could go on for pages, but those are the highlights. You've given me a new life, and it's a better one than I could ever have imagined.

Thank you, Dr. D. You're one in a million, and I'm blessed to have your profound influence in my life.

'Everywhere is the tabooed, or the disregarded. The monks of science dwell in smuggeries that are walled away from event-jungles. Or some of them do. Nowadays a good many of them are going native.'

(All quotes by Charles Fort--that damned data! )

Everyone is entitled to his or her informed opinion. --H. Ellison

Good Morning, I have blood type O. I have noticed that chicory is a super beneficial veggie. I was wondering about chicory used as a coffee substitute?

Also, my husband last year was having blood sugar issues. His A1C was 13.2. We found out about your program and started using it. His A1C a year later is now 5.5. Thank you for your time and research and may God richly bless your practice,

Hello,
I must say that the first time I read the book, I thought, gee, it actually makes sense. But, how can it? So, nothing changed. The past few years the IBS symptoms have gotten unbearable. So, I said, this is it, I have to do something. My GYN doc said cut out gluten, I started following your book. First day, I lost 5 pounds of water-my legs were not swollen at the end of the day. How is that? 40 years of swelling, gone! In one day. I have not taken Imodium-I had been routinely using 3 in the AM, 3 in the PM-in a week-How is that possible! I will NEVER go back to the cramping, gas and pain of my previous life. Thanks for your time and breakthrough!

Am I the only person that it makes me cry always reading these testimonials??

It seems like so many people suffering-healthwise because there is so much ignorance and wrong information. There are so many people that are trying to do the right thing for their health, but don't have the knowledge that will help them. Thank goodness for Dr D and his findings about blood type and diet. I really hope his work will get more and more known, so more people can be helped.

yes, we all love this thread, dedicated to Dr D and all the worldwide thankyous directed to him, thus the title.....if we all were to comment on every one of the posts, the purpose of the thread would get lost, so we keep it free of comments.

I can not thank you enough for providing the blood type diet...I have been following it for just under a week and I feel fantastic. For months, I had been feeling a great amount of fatigue, especially in the afternoon. Now, I have energy and feel much lighter...my body is happy!! I feel as though I got my life back, which is invaluable...thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dear Peter,

I want to thank you with all my heart for the amazing health improvement to my body during the past 4 years. The blood group diet was a starting point of improved bowel functions and blood circulation. However, my following of the swami diet since June has been so wonderful in all aspects of my digestive system that I feel like a new person.

THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Regards,

I'm about to have a much happier 41st birthday than 40th.  Thanks Dr. D!  You rock!  A year ago I was drinking a lot, laying around, and generally feeling sorry for myself.  Even though I "know better" I started to get away from the btd because I just felt it was "too hard".  But I'm back and have accepted the truth, which is that the hard way is better and healthier too.  Who knows I'll probably live to be over 100 like my dad's mom.

First I want thank Dr. D'Adamo for the research and knowledge he shares with us...I have all the books and love reading them.. I started this new way of eating to my blood type and feel wonderful... My blood pressure went down and I lost weight within the first four weeks... I didn't start the diet for weight loss. I started it because it made sense of how we should be eating... The first two days I was less bloated... I feel a unique satisfaction as I enjoy this new eating journey... For 30 years I read health books in regards to cooking and health benefits... When I got married I changed my eating habits to my husbands liking.. Well I gained weight, blood pressure went up , blood sugar went up... I was in a pet store and mentioned that eating with my husband has changed my health and I had to go back to eating healthier. An employee mentioned the book by Dr. D'Adamo.. I went to Borders book store and read alittle and knew right away this is what I wanted in my life.. The knowledge from these books is priceless. So now I continue to base my love of food on eating right for my blood type A.. Thank you

"Ill" for the first time since I came to your office two years ago. Extenuating circumstances and I understand the probable cause/effect. Your work has totally changed my life. I'm bouncing back quicker than I ever have from this type of thing-- and I most likely succumbed to it because of physically stirring up old stuff that I'm finally going to clear for good. It's amazing to me that a few times after getting clean on SWAMI, I could actually "hear" the effects of my food choices (low level ringing in my ears for years).

I've been doing more than ever since coming back from the miserable mess I now realize I was when I first met you. I can be a bit of a "workaholic" when I have the energy and I have been "dragging my body" forward the past few months and just need to balance my self expression with some self care. Thank you for not just being a wonderful doctor, but a wonderful teacher (the true meaning of the word). Truly blessed to have connected with you and those whose lives you have touched.

p.s. My phase angle is going up- a most welcome change in direction. Upping my compliance, so hopeful that it's upward and onward.

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:13,14

It is a good thing I live in the south and not up north around Dr. D!!!! I would be arrested for trying to give that man a hug & a kiss every morning. It is so wonderful that when my feet hit the floor first thing in the morning they no longer hurt. I haven’t had joint pain in 2 months….Dr. D’ you rock sir!

I have been on the"Eat Right 4 Your Type" plan for over 20 years. I live and breath it and share with people who have used it with wonderful results. I was in a serious accident July 2007, In and out of hospital about 3 years. Head injury etc. The food they forcd me to eat caused adverse reactions, as you can imagine, and I know slowed down my healing process. This last year I am back on the plan and healing rapidly. Thank You for that.

First time, I've heard of Dr. D'Adamo diet approach last year in Europe, and was given his book.  I am happy to report that while making some dietary changes he recommends for my blood type, I've seen huge improvement in my health.  I used to get nose bleeds daily, and since I started using vitamins and supplements recommended for my blood type, this condition has completely disappeared, as well as my allergies are reduced by about 90%.  So, if you have any health concerns, it is worth trying it
