Well, today is another fantastic day in the world on Eat Right For Your Type! I found my blood sugar monitor as I was going through a bunch of my stuff that I have had in storage. I've checked it, check it and check it again! What a difference a blood type diet makes! And now also following my genotype diet! My blood sugar is completely normal!!! I eat something and it's still within normal range. I ate something on my avoid list (sweet potato fries, just to test) and it still was within normal range. VERY VERY VERY HAPPY TODAY!!! Also when someone has diabetes they get a dark line at the back of their neck. Because my skin is so light and pale, that line seemed to really stand out to me. I didn't realize this until I just jumped out of the shower a couple mins ago! IT'S COMPLETELY GONE!!! I'm so happy I could cry! I just don't want to stress my body out or raise my cortisol levels so I'll continue laughing happily about this new realization of better and better health! YAY!!!! |

It was only in storage for about three months and yes, the battery is working perfectly!
What have I done... I have followed my BT A diet. Which in the first month and a half helped me lose 30 pounds! Than a couple weeks ago I switched to the Warrior diet.
I am not working currently full time as a Massage Therapist and just do the occasional work with my online business to keep it going. I am living on an acreage in the middle of no where. So my cortisol levels aren't being raised by city stress anymore. I am peaceful and happy!
It has taken me about 5-6 months in total.
Before I started the BTD I would eat a meal and two hours later my blood sugar would be as high as 13.4 Dangerously high! As it's supposed to be between 5-10 for diabetics or 5-8 for normal people. My fasting blood glucose before a meal would be at the lowest 7.9. When normal is 4-7 for diabetics or 4-6 for normal people.
Two hours after eating now each time my blood sugar has been 6.4, 7.1 and 6.8. Totally normal!
My fasting blood sugar level before eating now has been 6.2, 5.8 and 6.1. Totally normal!
VERY VERY EXCITING!!! I have to note that I have been at least 80% compliant with my BTD. Maybe more, but this is because I have been extremely strict about what I eat. I say only 80% because you never know about the hidden things in some foods. |

Fantastic... The proper diet is a great thing for the body to be able to heal itself... I do expect that for someone older, who has been eating incorrectly longer and therefore have done more damage, the results will take longer, but hopefully able to correct as well. |

I had type 2. I am not sure how long I had it. I have had weight issues even since I hit puberty when I was 12. I was diagnosed as having type 2 when I was also told I had Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which is something I also now don't have either, that was 7 years ago. I was put on Metformin, which they hoped would help me with my PCOS too. I didn't feel good on it and my weight only went up once I started taking it. So I stopped after taking it after the first 6 months on it. I did experience nerve issues with my legs, twitching and wrestles legs. I did a low GI diet for a bit which helped but was hard to stay on. You're welcome for the lengthy response. I think it's good to learn from eachother on here. Especially if we are healing. Let's pray for a miracle for you too! |

I just had to do this.. I find it so remarkable that you have achieved this.. at your age.. (so young) !!!

It must be your generous nature that helped you to maintain the balance to use BTD and succeed. Imagine that a young person can have all these issues and then succeed in getting rid of them with a simple way of eating..!!!
NOW as on A what are you eating?? as on A your food values are different from O's and others, and without (my) meat How did you do it.
Then just maybe I have this 22 year old in my life that has what she called bumps on her head that hurt.. I struggle with her about listening anything.. but yesterday a doctor told her that she would have to have those ..cists.. lanced some day.. ----- I bet- they are a similar thing.. and actually now that I remember she had them down below first.. her weight is up there, but to my KNOWLEGE no one ever tested her for diabetes.. -----
I am just so pleased that you are sharing this triumph over several diagnosis's that you don't need to have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am rather certain that you overcame other things, in life, will you tell more about your self.. what are you doing in life?? CONGRATULATION:!!!!!!!!! from then bottom of my heart..
where are all those jumping up and down smily's... |

Thank you for all your kind words.
What helped me to stay focused on the diet and stick with it was that I have been trying so hard for so long to be healthy. As a Massage Therapist and Holistic Practitioner being an example of the things you are trying to share (health) is the first the foremost. Of course I had loyal clients and still have them, but it's hard not to feel like a hypocrite when you are so sick and trying to heal others. Someone once said to me... "For a health person, you sure are sick a lot!" lol I tried not to be offended but it did hurt. I have tried everything. I even started doing the BTD over 6 years ago. But I had been incorrectly blood typed at a fall fair by the Red Cross! lol So my ex and I at the time started following the diet. He an O got healthier and lost weight even though he was maybe 50% or so compliant and I was as compliant as I could be. But eating as an AB... and being an A well... need I say more? lol
I didn't realized that I was actually an A until I shockingly realized that I was 4 months pregnant. I thought I had my ovarian cancer back. (lol Yes, I've had cancer too. Which I healed through water fasting. Something I wouldn't recommend to O or B or even AB's. A's seem to do best on water fasting but it is a very drastic measure. I was actually at the point where fasting was my last option.) So when I went in to confirm my pregnancy (which is utterly amazing that I got pregnant at all because while I was married for 5 years I had 9 miscarriages and very irregular periods) I had blood work done and the Dr told me that I was an A+ much to my surprise, and that I had protein in my urine, high blood pressure and was worried about my diabetes being an issue. He told me that if my legs started to swell, and if my protein stayed in my urine along with my high blood pressure that I would have toxemia. Something that is a very bad thing in pregnancy. So I told him I'd follow my BTD for the next month and we could check to see what the changes were if any.
I went home and read up on my newly discovered blood type. I felt empowered knowing that the truth of BTDing was correct and that it hadn't been due to my inability to follow the diet properly (which is what I had blamed it on when it didn't work for me as I was eating like an AB) it was just the wrong BT I had been following. I cut out all meat. ALL MEAT! I cut down my egg consumption, I added the things I was supposed to add. Cut out the things that were bad for me, potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage... and happily started feeling better within days.
After a month I went back in for my Dr's appointment. ( I have to note that I don't like or agree with medical Dr's and pharmacuetical drug. I prefer to do things naturally. The only reason I even went to this one was because I was finally pregnant past the four months mark, which I had never been before and I wanted to make sure I wasn't just crazy.) So as I sat there waiting for him to come in I weighed myself, and weighed myself again. Asked the nurse to help me cause I thought I was doing it wrong. She said, "Wow!" That's all she said. lol
My Dr came in. Told me that I had no more signs of protein in my urine at all! My blood pressure was perfect! AND .... DRUM ROLL!!! I had lost over 25 pounds!!! In A MONTH!!! That was just after my first month of following my type A blood type diet.
I am now about to give birth in the next week or so... or even the next few days. I stopped going to see my Dr after visiting him one more time and realizing that I knew more about my health and how to take care of myself than he did. Very empowering! Everytime I went in he just kept focusing on things going wrong which would stress me out and raise my cortisol levels. He didn't believe that the BTD had been the miraculous reason for my weight loss and amazing turn around in health. Unteachable. So I have my water birthing tub all ready. I am having a home water birth, as I always wanted. I have stopped watching my weight and will focus on it after my son is born. I feel healthier and stronger every day. About two weeks ago I started following my GTD and feel that much more amazing.
I believe we all have the ability to heal ourselves naturally. If you believe you can, you can. If you believe you can't, you can't. I am stubborn and believe that I can have whatever in life I set my mind to. If I really want it bad enough. I feel so very blessed and know that following this diet will continue to heal the years of stress and damage my body has suffered through as I've tried my best to do what I could to get healthy.
One thing I have to say is... I hate hearing people complain about their health. It drives me nuts! We are all so blessed to know about epigenetics and have the information that Dr. D and his father have spent their lives learning about for us. All we need to do is educate ourselves with all the books he has put out. Follow your diet. Do it or don't it. No complaining! lol
It's not magic. There is no secret to it. Follow your type. Swami yourself if you seem to not feel quite right on your BTD/GTD. Focus on being 80% compliant. Realize that 100% is unrealistic as there is always going to be things that are added into foods. Feel empowered. Focus on the good that is coming from it. It has taken years for you to get unhealthy. Allow your body time to heal. This is not about weight loss, it's about healing your DNA. The weight loss will come when your body is ready to let go of it. Diabetes, allergies and illness will correct themselves, even mental health issues. I am less OCD now that I am getting healthier. Which also makes me much easier to live with. lol
I hope this posts as it's rather long. But this explains a lot! |

Thank you everyone for your kind words. It's all doable though. Each one of us has the ability in our own hands with the information that Dr. D and his father have put together for us, for us to live healthy lives. I believe and always have believed that all things can be healed. If you believe they can be and are willing to do the work.
I am stubborn and believe I can have whatever I want in this life if I want it bad enough and am willing to do the work. |

lol Ya I guess I should explain my compliance a bit better. 100 compliance would be in my mind 100% on highly beneficials or diamonds. With avoids though, I still figure some creep in from time to time. But eating only from my diamonds and highly beneficials, as tough as it may be, is so worth it! I do eat neutral foods and that is part of my 20% along with my avoids. Hope that explains my own version of what I call 80% compliance.
I'm a bit obsessive compulsive and perfectionistic. This is also getting better with time. But those bad traits are also what is making me follow my BT/GTD so closely. |

Well he definitely is my son! He is taking his merry time. I guess I made it too nice in "there"! lol I'm thinking that it'll be this saturday. Who knows... I'm being patient. It could be another two weeks if he chooses it. I'm just so happy I'm actually finally having a baby. He'll get here at some point. lol |
