My 31 year old son was stunned a few months ago when his physician told him that he was borderline diabetic. He's very tall, 6'6" or more and very heavy through his middle. He's had a weight problem since early childhood. He was thin until about 6 or 7 then got very heavy. As an adult he wouldn't even talk about it. The diagnosis scared him and he's started paying attention. Neither of my boys are BTDers. They've always considered me the "food freak" in the family. I gave my son some Glycosia and suggested that he try it about a month ago when he was clearly upset about what his doctor had said. He called me this evening and asked me to order him some more. His blood sugar was 81 this morning!!! YAY!!! I told him I was going to order the diabetes book too. Don't know if he'll read it but small steps! Jane |

Jane, That's GREAT!!!!! I was on the glucosia and was put on a medication for pre-diabetes last July. Like your son most of weight is in the belly area. I need to buy a glucometer and check blood sugars, I think my sugar is going very low about 3 pm, would much rather take the glycosia and ALA than metformin ( I take 1/2 pill). Small steps in the right direction way be the way to convince them that this is a grteat eating plan.!!! |

I was just thrilled that he was even willing to try it. We'll see what happens when I buy him the diabetes book. Jane |

I'll bet. I hope he'll have an open mind. It's really hard to see your loved ones suffering needlessly isn't it? |

How great to hear this Jane. Your son is lucky to have a mother who pointed him in the right direction. What's your son's blood type? |

Jane, thanks so much for raising the word 'glycoscia' as I had never read the supplements sections carefully before and had no idea that there was a suitable supplement for diabetic people. I shall order some immediately. |
