I am wondering about and looking for others who have discovered their parentage thanks to Dr. Dadamo and the BTD.

To make a very long story short, I have been on the BTD for 7 years.  I had talked with my family over the years and several of them have used the diet with various consistency.  My mother, who lives across the country from me, was "guessing" at her O blood type.  My father "thought" he was an A.  I am B+ and most like my mother, so for 6 years I assumed she was wrong in her guess and made B suggestions for her diet.  She became ill.  I and my A siblings were with her in the hospital when they did a type and cross for a transfusion.  You could have knocked me over when they brought in type O blood.  I decided my father must be incorrect in what he thought.  He must be AB, I surmised.  He became ill.  He passed away Oct. 2007.  While he was in the hospital, I had one of my A sisters find out his blood type.  Sure enough, A+.  I am the eldest, and therefore statistically not the likely one in the family to have a father other than who she thinks.  Long dramatic story, I was able to talk to my mother, find out the name of my true father, meet him and fell in love.

I would love to talk to others in my situation.  It is unique and indiscribable!

How lovely to find out another 'use' of the BTD.  I hope you have a great relationship with your birth father. Tell us more when you can.

With the title of this thread, I had to stop in and check it out.  The story turned out to be fantastic!  I wish you and your paternal father many happy years of getting to know one another.

Do you have any siblings from your new found fathers side of the family?

Hi,
Welcome. That's really wonderful that you met your real father.  Hope your mom is doing much better now on the proper O diet.     I had just thought my dad was an A like my mom. I was surprised that I found out that he was AB

Yes, I do have new found siblings.  Three brothers and a sister.  So far, the sister is the only one I have met.  I grew up with 3 sisters and a brother.  We are very close.

My mother is not well.  We nearly lost her to complications of emphysema during the hospitalization when she was transfused.  She has been on a ventilator ever since.  That was May of 2007.  She is not on blood type diet because she is in a rehabilitation hospital receiving nutrition via G-tube.  If it were feasible, we could prepare liquids according to her blood type, but it is not.  Another long story.

I hope to meet someone who has had this experience this late in life.  I wish I could thank Dr. D personally.  I truly owe this wonderful, blissfully huge change in my already unusual life to him.

Ironically, I am an RN with a US Patent on a hospital product necessary because of ABO incompatibility.  I have been aware of blood type issues for many years.  It took the blood type diet and perfect timing for me to learn something so vital to my overall life.

He doesn't know his blood type.  Maybe I will be able to do a test on him one day.  He lives in California and I live in North Carolina.  We did do a DNA, though, and it is definately a match.  He would have to be a B or AB.

Great story...and how nice for you that you've been able to connect with you "new" family!
Welcome to the boards and tell us about your patent.  My first child was born in NC and I had to have rhogam after both deliveries.  I'm O- and my ex is AB+.  Tell us about your patent!

My patent is for a Phototherapy EyeShield used on newborns receiving treatment for jaundice, usually caused by ABO incompatibility.
