It's been quite a few months since I have been on the site!! I was so addicted and felt I needed a break. I have wittled my 5'9 frame from a size 20 to a size 9! I feel amazing and want to encourage everyone to learn their secretor status..Learning that I was a NON-SECRETOR and that I absolutely must stay away from ALL forms of sugar changed my life..perhaps even more than the diet itself...the weight ( 70+ pounds just fell off) |

I am so glad for you and happy that you are doing so well.
I too hope to find the way, still learning from all the knowledgable people on this site.
I am gaining instead so trying to figure it out. I was just advised to find out my secretor or do GTD. Wish there were more areas in Eastern Canada interested in this....

I would gladly post some before and after shots if I could figure out how to do it!!  ... I look so completely different ! Much of my weighloss success is also due to the fact that I have cut out my food allergins completely too! Haven't eaten any dairy or an egg in 7 months!!! ( Haven't had a migraine in 7 months either...hmmmmm...I wonder??? |

That secretor test is a real life-changer, I know it was for me. cindy, it's my understanding that the secretor and non-secretor diets are miles apart for A's. Also saves so much guesswork. Yes, migraines are often caused by: 1)allergens, or 2) severe digestive issues - (may refer to #1).
3) lack of hydration For me anyway......when I drink my allotted amount of water, it keeps things well under control. Of course eating compliantly helps as well.  |

Girly, welcome back! And what great news! When I switched my daughter to the nonnie diet she improved as well. She can't eat eggs or dairy either (except ghee). She still has migraines. We haven't figured out what causes them, but I will keep hydration in mind. Girly, can you eat soy? Just out of curiosity, do you know your GenoType? |
