It was a little over 1 week ago that I was introduced to BTD by my coach Mike Demeter. I don't know how many of you felt the same way I did when Mike told me that my blood type should determine my food choices. I thought that I picked the wrong guy to help me get fit because eating to blood type is just CRAZY talk. Luckily for me I had developed quite a bit of trust in Mike. This guys knew his stuff. I was determined to follow what he told me to do and let the results of his protocols speak to the effectiveness. It has been 1 week and I am about to tell you what those results have been. A little information about myself is needed before you can judge the results I am presenting. I am a 6'4",43 year old guy weighing in at 371 pounds. I am a type II diabetic taking 3 medication to keep my blood glucose under control, including a daily shot. Depression has been acute for several years and I take 4 medications to keep that under control. I also suffer from severe allergies that leave my head stuffy and all the other things that come with allergies. Now that you know my list of dirty laundry my 1 week results will make a bigger impact. I have followed my B diet religiously. I am still waiting for my secretor test results so I may be in violation on some of the cheese that I have eaten. Results - My mood is very positive and bright.
My thinking is clear. My sinuses are clear and I can freely breath through my nose. My blood glucose is in terrific shape and getting better every day. I have hit new records of blood glucose control. Two pounds lost.
I can not be certain that these changes are because of the diet or other things in my life. The time period has been too short to really say for sure. I can tell you that I don't think Mike is crazy. When looking for something to eat I avoid foods that are listed as avoids for B's because I don't want to feel like I did a week ago. Would I suggest this diet to friends? Not quite yet, but I would be willing to talk to them about what I am doing where I would not have before. Once my weight is noticeably reduced and I am able to stop taking my current medications. Am I happy Coach Mike introduced me to BTD? Well DUH! |

Mekan, if you feel this much better after only 1 week, imagine how much better you'll feel in a month or a year! |

Mekan, your coach Mike does know his stuff, and you - keep up the good work!! The good effects of avoiding B avoids is speaking for itself. If I weren't an O, I'd want to be a B. By the by, you probably shouldn't have "non" in your B avatar til your secretor test results are in, cause it's such a tricky subject, different avoids for secretors and non-secretors.... Learn all you can in the meantime, this website is a gas!!! Enjoy, and welcome, Mekan. You've just cracked the door open to your new life! |

Felt exactly the same X years ago when I bought and first read ER4YT. I'm now 21 months on BTD, back with my original self (as I can remember it of course).

This is what I keep telling all the world about Dr. D. I am happy with what happened to you with Mike, the most significant thing, with your resolution and with your awesome results. They will continue to appear! It all works like a miracle... as one of the forum members signature goes: Miracles come from these parts of Nature which are unknown to you... I know my body responds and rewards me for every single day I am compliant, and so absolutely will yours. |

Now that one week has worked, week two will be better, and it will keep getting better, looking forward to seeing you say one year and how much better you are, just stay with it, it gets better the longer you go, I just passed four years, and 60 Pounds Off, 13 Meds. Off. would not go back. Lots of Luck. |

Mekan, Great news and what great good fortune that you met this particular trainer. I also noticed amazing immediate changes. And there have been other improvements that are continuing even to this day, 9 years later. The health improvements keep getting better, and while things will plateau for a while, life continues to be full of pleasant surprises. Your secretor test will be an added tool to accelerate your return to health and a good weight. |

Mekan...congrats on your BTD success. Great that you have Mike as a coach and that you are doing so well. When I first started BTD over 6 years ago...I tried it for two weeks and knew there was no going back. Great that you are also getting your secretor test done. I waited three years. Isn't it great to breathe through your nose. I love it. Alternate breathing helps alot too. Keep up the great work. And keep us all posted. We love to hear about success and to help people along. Mekan, think of it like this...on what other diet plan could you both lose weight & feel terrific at the same time? I've been doing the BTD for about 6 mos now and believe me, eating this way REALLY revs the metabolism...no starvation required! |
