Hi there all...or just who ever reads this and can comment. Have been on the blood group diet for almost 3 years now. I love it... Lately though I have been indulging in the odd cup of coffee and dare I say it....peanut butter on toast. I don't have these all the time, just on the odd occasion. I might eat the peanut butter say two days in a row, then not again for a couple of months. As for the coffee I might have a cup for say three consecutive days, then none for a couple of months. I often feel guilty about this too. I dont think will do me any harm, but by admitting it on here, it is almost like going to confession in many ways. [face=Arial][/face] |

Forgive yourself, and go on, we all have slips. Maybe you can make yourself some almond butter (almonds with drizzled olive oil in a food processor) and use that instead and it would be a beneficial and maybe you can try 1-2T cocoa in hot water for your beverage when you need a change. Best to you! |

here I am with geminisue, just forgive yourselve and the bill is up to you to pay if there were any reactions .....so you only harmed yourselve, no guilt to be to expected and once upon the time, this behaviour is ok, but please not too often because your body will get problems in detoxing...and redetoxing..and rere-detoxing whithin shorter times ...but it might be, that you will produce some severe adverse reactions... soo just done for that for a while |

Thank you both for you imput. I have had no adverse reactions to either. I just think I get the craving for one or the other at different times, so I only have them as I said on rare occasions. Thank you both once again...for your prompt replies.. |

violet...don't beat yourself up over doing an avoid every now and then, It happens. As geminisue suggested...try almond butter (or pumpkin seed or walnut butter) instead. Mikeo blogged a very good combination once. Here it is...Yummilcious!!! "The other morning she took some 100% toasted kamut/spelt bread, poured a little olive oil on top of it…when on to mix honey and tahini and spread that on top. She then took some flaxseed meal (ground flaxseed) and spread that on top and topped that off with some fresh walnuts. Now you might say overkill, but what you have here is an EFA (essential fatty acids) super snack, which explodes with flavor." Use the tahini or some other compliant butter. I used a little bit of veggie glycerin and now use manna bread when I do induldge in it which is not often because it is soooo good and if I eat one...I eat them all. Also, the other day he posted on a thread putting some dark chocolate (70% and above, I used 99 %) into a cup of green tea. That was really good too. You may not have reactions that you notice to some of the foods that you are eating right now. Depends on the health issues you have at the moment. Good luck and keep us posted. Debra |
