Well my husband and I are only abt 3 weeks into the diet. After the 1st week I was already noticing two things, now when I sleep and am so dead to the world that 2 nights ago I didn't hear our 4 yr old when she came to mommys side of the bed to tell me she had to go potty and in the same night 2 leftover parrty balloons from her 4th bday party popped out in the livingroom and I never heard them. I am a very light sleeper, well obviously not anymore.  My husband just laughed at me when he asked if I heard our daughter which he heard and took her potty and the balloons popping.

Also now when I do yoga if I've missed say 4 or 5 days, now it only feels like I've missed abt 2. I seem to be staying limber longer.

My husband said that the 1st week on the diet he felt like c**p, he must have been getting the junk out of his system since he had more to change in his diet than I. Now he's said she's starting to notice he feels better but hasn't named anything specific yet. I'll have to ask him tonight to specify for me.

That's it for now and we have only been following the diet abt 90%.

usaf...congrats on sleeping better and feeling more limber longer.   Henh henh henh...glad your hubby was able to get your daughter to the potty on time.

Yep...I would say your hubby was getting the bad stuff out of his system.  A's have a tendancy to have a harder time with detox.

Keep up the great work the two of you.

Debra

I asked my husband about his specifics on him feeling a little better and he said was that he has some more energy and seems to be sleeping better too.

Oh I went to the doc last week and asked him to double check my blood type in the system and so it is AB+ like my old (5 yr old) military ID card said. I asked about the girls blood types and they had nothing in the system on them and although blood is drawn the week a after their born nothing was annotated in their paper records either. The girls are 2 & 4. But he said given my husband as an A+ & me as AB+, mostly likely the girls are one of the two also and possibly they have the same blood type too. There is a small chance they could be a B he says.  I don't know know much of that is correct since I haven't studied that any. Any opinions?

Hello usaf I too have noticed I'm sleeping better.  Actually able to go to bed earlier than usual and fall asleep faster.  I also have been on the diet 3 1/2-4 weeks.  Welcome to the BTD.

Without knowing if your husband and father of your kids is Ao or AA and therefore assuming that he could be Ao, your kids could be type A, AB, or B.

50% chance that they are type A
25% chance type AB
25% chance type B

Yoga is wonderful because it is so gentle on the body, it is a very mobile exercise,  and it lowers cortisol levels.

Yep, my husband and I have been doing yoga for 2 1/2 years. We do Hatha and
Ashtanga (Power Yoga). We have never attended 1 class so far, we use the DVD's by Rodnee Yee and Patricia Walden. I haven't looked yet to see if they have classes here at the base gym which I'm almost sure they do. At our old base we lived a ways from base so I didn't bother trying to get in a class. Plus I had infants in the house then so I was too busy. Now all I have to do is find a Saturday class if possible so my husband can watch the girls. It'll be a good break from college homework.

Added news:  We did an experiment last night and made beef bulgogi ( Korean dish) and my husband is feeling the effects today. We have strips of turkey to make the recipe from now on. We made it with chicken quite a while back before we started the diet and it was good so the turkey should work well too.

He has also lost 9 lbs in the past 3 weeks from being on the diet, he went from 225 to 216. (he's 6'1) I've lost none but I think I've exchanged a pound or two from fat to muscle.
