Hi! I have been a member for a few months now, lurking and soaking up all the great info that is here. Time to start posting now, so thought I had better introduce myself first. I've been doing the BTD for about 2 months now. It has made an unbelievable difference for me, and I have taken to it like a duck to water so far. This forum has been SO helpful in my learning process. I've made myself updated lists for A and O from the type base (hubby is an O), found out about some new books and ordered them...and the recipes!!! What a great resource! See you all around the forum, I am sure now that I have posted once it will be hard to keep me quiet... |

Smooth, eh! Welcome Gumby to the forum and the BTD way of life. Glad to see you have come out of hiding and are ready to join us all. Looking forward to seeing you post. Debra P.S. Since you are Gumby is your hubby Pokey? (I am aging myself here...used to be a favourite television show of mine when I was younger). |

Thank you all for such a warm welcome! It is great to be here. Debra, I used to love Pokey and Gumby too...I still have my P and G ruler ! I like Gumby as my alter ego because a) I am very bendy, and b) because I have been told to hurry up all my life so I think I still harbour some resistance to being called Pokey , even though I loved him too. I will tell my hubby that if he ever joins, he will have to be Pokey! Rodney, I have on the way LR, CR, and the encyclopedia. Our library has many copies of ER so there is always one there for me to read, but only one CR and LR and no encyclopedia. I see you guys refering to it a lot so I figured it was a good one to have on hand. I will post more info in the testimonials section as to how I came to this way of eating, I am still in a bit of shock about how well it is working for me. I think my starting to post means that I am finally starting to beleive that it really WILL work long term. Almost to good to believe in the beginning, after the past few years I find I have been saying that I am starting to feel better in a hushed voice...so as not to jinx anything. Perhaps now I am ready to say it a bit louder. Thanks again, this place is such a great wealth of info...and of course this 'place' is all of you! |

Hey, welcome, Gumby! I'm a Gumby and Pokey fan, also, so a lot of us "old timers" on board here. I watched "Howdy Doody" also! I can't wait to hear of the changes and benefits you are experiencing on this way of eating. It's great to hear from people who notice such a change so soon. Actually there are a lot of them! |
