I have just completed the 4 year check up after my adventure with breast cancer, and I passed with flying colors! If you aren't familiar with my experience, the short story is that I had a fast-growing tumor which was surgically removed with a lumpectomy and lymph node removal. I also had radiation and chemotherapy. I'll keep this part of my story short because it is not a period of time that needs to be dwelt upon. The best part of the story is the healing and my return back into life, light and hope. This motivated me to get my secretor test done. Although I had been eating somewhat half-heartedly for my blood type for 2 or 3 years, I was eating as if I was a secretor. And I was also being quite lenient with my interpretation of how many avoids I was willing to eat! There is nothing like being face to face with a condition that could quickly end your life, to put ones life in perspective. I let go of avoids on the day that I received my secretor results, and have never looked back. Except for that rare time when I am eating food that has been cooked by someone else, and I get avoids without knowing it, I have not eaten avoids in 4 years. My diet is at least 50% beneficials and sometimes more. I accepted the fact that I am responsible for living or dying, and the choice was clear to me! It has been like having another part-time job, as I shop, carefully prepare meals, eat with a calm and conscious attitude and clean my kitchen. It has become a sort of spiritual practice, which has brought a real serenity into my home. I have come to love my body very much, and respect the healing power that it has. I have been giving my all to supporting this body which is such a devoted friend and helper to me! The result of my dietary and lifestyle changes is that I now weigh 20 pounds less. My skin is smooth and radiant. Chronic irritable bowel conditions are 90% gone. My sleep is so much better, I actually feel rested when I wake up, and have begun to remember my dreams again. My depression is completely gone. After living with depression for most of my life, I can't even remember the last time I felt "down". My cholesterol has been gradually moving into the healthy range with an exceptional ratio balance, and this is while eating ghee, lamb, full-fat goat yogurt and eggs! The biggest challenge for recovering from my illness is my fatigue. I have continued to struggle with this issue, and by paying attention to the fatigue protocol, I am beginning to see progress. I am also going to bed earlier, keeping my sleeping area dark, drinking more water, jumping on my Rebounder and breathing well. And I have started the process of having the rest of my mercury fillings safely removed. I'm quite thrilled, and hope you'll send your smiles my way also. I wish you all great and abundant health and radiant well-being!! |

Thank you for sharing this wonderful testimonial. I was very moved at how you now look at food, and that taking care of your body has become a spiritual experience.
It's a good thing, when we can become mindful of what we put in our bodies.

Thank you all for your kind words and <<smiles>> ! To alll who are dealing with serious diseases, I encourage you to smile and take a deep breath, and know that your health can change for the better. Consistency in dietary and lifestyle change is so important, and don't be discouraged by temporary setbacks. Our attitudes lead the way for our healing; optimism opens the doorway to the possibility for being well, and pessimism limits how much joy and wellness that we can experience. I forgot to mention in my post that during treatment and afterwards for a year or so, I closely followed the super-beneficials listed in the Cancer book, and I followed the supplement protocol very persistently. |

I’m glad to hear you’re a breast cancer survivor.
I have fibrous breasts and have had a couple of cysts drained. I get tired of always having to go back and get re-checked. I didn’t go to my last appointment because I don’t trust my gyno. I should find a new one since my aunt died of breast cancer at age 54 and I’m 55. It is encouraging to know that my B nonnie diet can help if it ever comes to that. |

I was hoping for smiles from everyone, and never knew I would get Isa's song as well! Thanks dear lady! We all give and share our successes and fears, inspirations and reachings out for support and our smiles, hugs, songs and encouragement. Friends are friends . . around the world, when our hearts are open and our intentions are friendly! I'll admit that every year when it is time for my check-up, I do get stressed and nervous. Each year, I am less impacted by the fear, and I am reminding myself to not get stuck in the past. Old traumatic events do not need to be hauled around around with us, year after year, re-creating fear and dread, and possibly triggering future illness. This is one of the countless things I learned from illness, to keep my attention and energy focused in the present, where I really am. This is where our only power is . . right now. If we really look at fear, it is a fantasy that pulls us out of Present Time into the unknown future, based upon a past that no longer exists. |

Victoria, Wonderful news...! It seems like the critical time for cancer survivors is seven years, but with your new focus, that should not be a problem! I like the "Focus on today" mentality.
The fatigue protocol is superb... The closer I get to the recommended portion recommendations and only super/beneficials, the better I feel. I have determined that I need to really limit or eliminate grains to keep inflamation under control. |

ya welcome lady Victoria ....and yessss you are very right in your constat....about fears, that's why I like to stay for observations, because I know No:5 works almost best when getting a bit fear in his head ..... but then I've got sometimes the remark...instead of being the observer...who will live my life then .....hmmm and yes here also it's true...try to stay in that most important moment of your life...it's alltimes the same...the now...... ouch remebers me a bit of Azzap's word sorry shouldn't be similar to a plagiat |

Thank you for posting your personal story, Victoria. This is the first time I have heard your whole story told.
Congratulations on the marvelous results in your much improved health regarding breast cancer: physical, mental, and emotional.
Looking after one's own body and personal health does take concerted effort, work, and discipline; but the rewards of energy and well-being are important end results.

Thank you for all your sweet words and prayers! I said many times during my illness that if I survived it, I would consider it the best thing that had ever happened to me. This doesn't mean that I love suffering by any means! But as I endured what I went through, I noticed that I was developing strength of character, patience, compassion and wisdom. These are all qualities that I have always placed a very high value on, but one can't make them appear. They seem to be forged, like coal turning into diamonds, from intense fire and pressure. |

Happy Smoothie to you, dear Ion!! I like this attitude very much! Whenever we are blessed with anything . . healing and good health, prosperity, love, talents, inspiration . . it needs to be shared. In that way, we are spreading the seeds of well-being around the world, and a happy world benefits us all, and comes back to the sower of the seeds. Thank you all for the smiles and for rejoicing with me. I feel the same about you all, whenever I read a success or some hope, or a new start on life after a hard time, I am so happy that things are going well somewhere in this world. The world is getting smaller, and the network of friends is becoming more accessible through the internet. This is one excuse for being a geek! |
